I play a lot of games that require button combos but nothing like the Arkham games. It feels like I'm playing an old arcade game like Street Fighter and I gotta keep slapping buttons. The games look fantastic and the stories seemed great, the trailer are always epic but the gameplay lost me every single time I tried them.

Kinda agree, I mean I like the games and will get this one maybe when the price drops but they really are nothing special. Best Batman/superhero game on the market but other than that a lot of very repetitive gameplay with a lot of button mashing. Even if you know how to fight and do combo's it's still button mashing at it's core.

Man, I still haven't even seen all the Calendar Man holiday dialogues In Arkham City. I'm gonna have to start paying attention to the dates. Mother's Day and Father's Day are coming up.

And you can't button mash during fights in the Arkham games because that will fuck up your combos.

I don't know what the fuck people want. the Arkham games are the best video games I've ever come across. Those are somehow button mashing. I also love the Quantic Dream games and people go postal over the QTE's. What the fuck are you guys playing? Pac Man??

They're too constrained for me, I love the massive, go anywhere kill anyone type of games like the Assassin's Creed or Fallout franchises. I've been trying to get through Tomb Raider but encountering the same contained feeling I had with Arkham, you have a little freedom but not nearly as much as I'm accustomed to with the bigger games. If I wanted to play contained I'd waste my time with COD. But I gotta kill in big spaces all over a large area, it's just how I roll in the game worlds.

You know you can manually change the date of the PS3 to hear what he says, right? You don't have to wait for it unless you want to.

I'd have to agree, you got to know what to press and time it right. It's not constant button mashing, it's more advanced than that. It requires focus and patience but it gets easier with practice, trust me. I used to get high combos all the time. This one might be different than past games though with all the new things you can do.

I've never been one for five button combos, I want to throw a punch or a blade and let it be done. But pushing so many buttons endlessly that I start developing carpel tunnel, not one of my goals.

No harder than any other game, just didn't care for it, it's no AC. Get over it! Cool

Been meaning to get Black Flag. Does it pick up right from AC3 ending? Because that was messed up.

I actually didn't play AC3 but you're a whole new character in this. However though through the animus videos you can do learn more about Desmond's fate. But I loved the Black Flag storyline and thought it was really fun and interesting.

Yeah, Desmond, I forgot his name. Cool! I'm glad they didn't ignore him completely. I know the Assassin is different because they're always changing. In Black Flag, it's supposed to be the gradfather of the bad guy in AC3 or something like that. It's been a while so I'm not sure.

You're just another decendant carrying on the mission but you learn a lot about Abstergo the company behind everything in the franchise over these two sequels.

Not too sure, but they continued linking the franchises through Rogue. At one point your lead character does a few missions with the son of Edward Kenway, the lead character of Black Flag. And you can unlock weapons and ship customization features in Rogue that were a big part of Black Flag.

It looks like Amarzon is trying to dump the Playstation 4 bundle that comes with The Last of Us and The Order: 1886. $400 doesn't seem like a bad deal for just the PS4 and The Last of Us. I have a feeling The Order: 1886 is going to be hitting the bargain bins at $20 soon.

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00RY3GIDE

You just gotta click the selection for the bundle when the page loads as it defaults to another selection. If anyone here is interested in getting this bundle, now seems like a pretty good time.

Just watched this short clip and it's pretty great. Never played the game but it's not a reflection of the actual game at all, I checked some gameplays, but the short films are amazing.

I've never heard of it. Is it that popular? The cinematic is amazing but the game is your average online FPS from what I saw. I prefer adventure games, a game based on those trailers would be cool.

I haven't investigated more, but I read the Pro doesn't play UHD discs which is a huge fail.

No UHD player, no new Rocksteady Batman games, not in any rush to upgrade my PS4.

A lot of hype around this game right now and it deserves it. This trailer is like a freaking movie. This one might outsell COD: Infinite Warfare because it's getting a lot of hate and dislikes on YouTube.

I never understood the purpose of game trailers. They are completely useless. Anyone (with the right abilities and software) can make a great-looking CGI clip.

Take the Spider-Man trailer: the story looks nice and the voice-acting seems okay and, in fact, that clip might be good for an animated Spider-Man film. But in terms of gameplay, that video showed nothing. The cinematics in the game might be great but the gameplay can be total crap (like Spider-Man web-swinging off clouds or a terrible combat system).

Same with The Last of Us II clip. Great for an animated film. Tells me nothing about how the game will look when actually playing.

And the crazy thing is, I'm the one who sounds like an asshole and plenty of people eat these trailers up and base their game purchases on them. I just don't get it.

Aren't half of all games now just animated movies? Feels like every time a new game comes out someone edits all the content into a 3 hour movie and none of it is gameplay.

LOL yes, there are a lot of cutscenes but there are some dope games which are not just cutscenes. Like the Batman Arkham series. A lot of games are starting to use quicktime events throughout their games now, though. That is, you push the correct buttons when prompted and the character on-screen does a bunch of cool shit.

Regarding cutscenes, some games have so many cutscenes you can edit them all together for over two hours of footage. Pretty cool, I guess.

The Last of Us is the best game ever made. The story combined with cut scenes is what really drives the game, not a whole lot of game play. This trailer was violent and the graphics is just unreal. I'm excited for it and Spider-Man, it could be the best superhero game ever.
