This is probably an early design that might not even make it to the movie. But everything from the cape up I'm not liking at all.

Not really digging it but let’s see how it is after post. Also the sunglasses type lens on the mask.... again, I will wait for the end result.
Sorry for the lame link. I’m using my phone. Fios in one day, etc etc.
The link trxt is misleading. The pics is not Pattinson. It’s his stunt double. Good jawline. Maybe they should just get that guy to be Batman.

That looks like a cosplay version of the Beyond mask.

Someone recolored the test footage and did a much better job than the red we were given.

I do see a lot of Chevy in it, especially around the fenders.

I kind of like that Batmobile.
I can tell this movie is going to be great. DC always puts out the best stuff.

‘The Batman’ Flies To Fall 2021, ‘Sopranos’ Prequel Moves To March & More As Warner Bros Makes Release Date Changes Due To COVID-19 Climate
With many productions halted due to COVID-19 and the 2021 release schedule greatly in need of product, Warner Bros has shifted a slew of theatrical release dates.
Matt Reeves’ The Batman, which is currently stalled in London, will no longer open on June 25, 2021 next summer, but rather in the first weekend of October next year, October 1, a slot made famous by DC’s R-rated The Joker. Reeves told us recently that once it’s safe to resume production, the plan is to finish The Batman in London instead of re-locating. A quarter of the film is shot, and Reeves is currently sifting through footage.
Batman moves onto a date where both Paramount and 20th Century Studios have untitled movies.
DC’s movie version of The Flash will go a month earlier in 2022, debuting on June 3, a date that Warners already reserved, instead of July 1 that year. Shazam 2!, which was dated on April 1, 2022, now goes on November 4 of that year. Disney has an untitled live-action movie on that fall date currently.
Baz Luhrmann’s untitled Elvis Presley movie starring Tom Hanks had that October 1 date, and will now go a month later on November 5, 2021 against Disney/Marvel’s Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.
The Sopranos feature prequel The Many Saints of Newark, originally dated for September 25 of this year, heads to March 12 next year versus Disney’s animated movie Raya and the Last Dragon.
The Will Smith drama King Richard, which was shooting in Los Angeles, will now go a year later on November 19, 2021 instead of November 25 this year. On that pre-Thanksgiving weekend, King Richard will share the marquee with Paramount’s Dungeons & Dragons and an untitled Disney live-action movie.
Notching a new date: Lisa Joy’s Hugh Jackman-Thandie Newton-Rebecca Ferguson sci-fi movie Reminiscence on April 16, 2021. Warners already had that date in the books for an untitled feature; it will now come up against Sony Pictures Animation’s Lin-Manuel Miranda musical Vivo, and an untitled Universal feature.
Temporarily undated for now is Shaka King’s untitled Fred Hampton movie about the Black Panther party member, which was set to open on August 21 this year. Daniel Kaluuya stars as Hampton alongside LaKeith Stanfield, Martin Sheen, Lil Rel Howery and Jesse Plemons.

Seems grounded like Nolan's trilogy while taking the darker tone of Snyder's Batman. I liked it, it was a good teaser.

So I take it that all of you guys liked that trailer? I'm just not feeling Twilight TacticalMan or Ski-Mask Feline Woman.
This will not get me to reverse my stance on comic book movies, I've just been too disappointed too many times.

I didn’t hate it, but it’s too Nolany for me to be excited about. It’s like if Begins was less sepia and more interesting and also took a trip to Hot Topic.

You're referring to the fact that Billionaire Bruce's bat suit now looks like homemade cosplay by somebody with no skills or money? And Catwoman just cut extra holes in a ski-mask? Cause I think even Hot Topic offered better alternatives than this horseshit.

Do they still have Hot Topic where you live? I haven't seen one of those in many years.

Yeah, I think I read it's a year in. Who at this point wouldn't know his origin story though? I think it'd be a waste of running time for the movie.

I think they should do a proper reboot and start way over. We need to go into his childhood so we can understand his change. Like only the last ten minutes of this origin film should be him just beginning his training to be Batman.
It should focus on his parents for like the first hour. Then they die. Then we see how Alfred raises him and then at the very end, he realizes he should be Batman.
Then this movie should follow with him being a year in to his descent into madness.

That's pretty much Gotham except for the focus on the Wayne parental units.

LOL Are you trying to pitch the worst Batman movie ever? If they follow this blueprint and do the exact opposite, it'll be a good movie.

No, the worst Batman movie ever would be one that focused on the origins of Kite Man.
Not that you'd be interested in my Kite-Man movie pitch...

The Batman’ Flies To 2022
So we knew that Dune was pushing The Batman of his Oct. 1, 2021 date. The Matt Reeves directed DC reboot will now open on March 4, 2022.
March 4, Warner Bros. had their big screen version of videogame Minecraft which is now undated. The Batman will compete against an untitled Paranormal Activity movie from Paramount.

From what I've heard many of the VOD releases have been big hits meanwhile Tenet is considered a bomb and every blockbuster is getting reshuffled because of it.
I would prefer they just released all of them VOD because I will not be going back to a movie theater any time soon and would prefer to enjoy them from the comfort and safety of my own home.
That's why I'm really looking forward to that deal AMC and Universal worked out for the 17 day release window from cinemas to VOD that will make my movie viewing experiences so much easier.

'The Batman' Has Officially Wrapped Production
The Batman has officially wrapped production. Director Matt Reeves made the announcement via social media on Saturday morning.
In his post, the writer-director included a production slate in a box with other items that are sure to be dissected by ravenous fans who have already taken apart the first trailer as though it were the Zapruder film.
Jeffrey Wright, who plays Commissioner James Gordon teased a sequel in his farewell message. "Gordon out. ...for now. One year exactly after the shutdown. Some ride," Wright said.
The Batman was delayed twice from an original June 2021 release date due to the novel coronavirus pandemic.
In early September last year, The Batman shut down production in London, with Warner Bros. stating that a member of the production had contracted the novel coronavirus. Sources told THR that star Robert Pattinson had been diagnosed with COVID-19, though the studio declined to comment on the specific individual who had tested positive. Production resumed later in the month.
The Batman stars Zoë Kravitz as Selina Kyle/Catwoman, Paul Dano as Riddler, Colin Farrell as the Penguin, John Turturro as crime boss Carmine Falcone, Andy Serkis as Alfred and Peter Sarsgaard as Gotham City District Attorney Gil Colson.

I don't know why this was postponed to next year. With production done now, 7 months is a lot of time to finish and release it this year.
