LOL! You still got a receipt? Has it been 30 days? GE might be a better brand for fridge but don't quote me on that. We bought GE washer/dryer 8 years ago and they are still going strong.

Well everything in America must be three times the size of everything in Australia, it's called the Manufacturing Rule of Three.
I don't remember seeing a variety of sizes when I bought mine. There were probably two dozens models and mostly they just varied in color from black, white or stainless. Truthfully, it is a much bigger fridge than one person needs but it leaves me plenty of shelf space for marinating meats and since I like to prepare most of my meals ahead of time, it's just easier to have more space.

This is the one I gotz: RF261BEAESR
I bought it during Black Friday sales at PC Richard for $1,067 tax included ($980 plus tax). Supposably, the fridge has an MSRP of $2,200. PC Richard currently sells it for $1,649.97. I suppose I got a good deal on it but I'm definitely concerned with the build quality. This fridge has really good reviews all over the internet (Best Buy, Amarzon, Google Reviews) but I don't know how long ago this fridge came out and if these reviews are from people who have owned it but not long enough to experience the same defect you experienced.
I'll keep you guys posted.

My Samsung has a badge on the inside left panel when you open the door, right near the ice machine that gives the model number and manufacturing year and your fridge looks identical to mine, only without the ice machine.
Re: Random Thoughts
My badge/sticker in my fridge says it was built in November 2017. I suppose that's kinda good. It was built in the same month I purchased it so it wasn't just sitting around. Although, I did not take delivery of the fridge until February so I guess my observation is moot at this point. LOL
There is a version of my fridge with the water dispenser built in but I opted for the one without the water. I figured it would just be one more thing I have to fix if it breaks down on me.
My fridge does have an ice maker, though.
Yours is a bit bigger than mine. My kitchen is so tiny this was the only size that would fit.

Alright Joey, I can't let you continue to deal with this problem any longer. I will take it off your hands for $10, shipping included. No need to thank me.
Guys, your fridges are not smart fridges, are they? Those are just packed with unnecessary features that you just don't need.

Re: Random Thoughts
Just saw this in my local news. It's only a few miles from me.
Woman found dead near bunker of guns and ammo
A woman was found dead Saturday, March 3, on a land parcel near Tamarack Lane on south Camano Island. She was discovered near a bunker dug into the hillside containing a cache of supplies, firearms and ammunition, the Island County Sheriff’s Office announced Monday afternoon.
Island County detectives and coroners joined the Washington State Patrol Crime Lab team to serve several search warrants on the wooded property, situated near the end of a quiet dirt road stretching south from Tamarack Lane.
Authorities recovered the body of a white female, who had been deceased for several days. Identity and cause of death is pending, but it appears to be a homicide, according to police. The victim appears to have been specifically targeted, police said.
No arrests have been made. Authorities said and they're developing leads on a person of interest in the case.
By late Monday afternoon, a handful of officials were on scene and could been seen investigating the property as at least one news helicopter circled overhead.
Re: Random Thoughts
Damn, was she holed up in there trying to defend herself and was somehow tricked into coming out? Maybe she was starved out. Why didn't her killer take her guns and ammo? So many questions.
Wylde, can you go down there and see if you can get any information from the police?

I am familiar with the property they found her on and I didn't know anything was there other than trees. I don't really expect underground bunkers to be in open or wooded fields but at this point, I really should.
None of the neighbors knew anything and yet someone called 911 to report a body that otherwise wouldn't have been found, so her killer must have called 911.
I already spoke with police yesterday when a separate manhunt was launched all over my area looking for a missing mentally disabled man who was found a mile from my house huddled in a heavily wooded ravine area after 4 days. The cops were running K9 and helicopter units all over searching every outhouse, doghouse and farmhouse trying to figure where a scared, disabled man might go. He ended up being found safe, which is quite surprising considering cops were looking for him.
I was not expecting a murder investigation to be the next reason I saw more choppers in the air the next day.

I only want my fridge to give me ice, not harass and try to murder me. People's obsession with all tech these days is frighting.
Re: Random Thoughts
These "smart" refrigerators are ridiculous. They have a huge touchpad on them. You sync it to your phone and you can use it to look inside your refrigerator when you are at the grocery store to see what you need to buy. I'm sure it does more crazy shit, too, but I don't even care to know what else it can do.
"Let me check my phone while I'm in the grocery store. Ah, my milk is almost done. I'll get more."
It's freakin' ridiculous.

Here's an update from the murder near my house I posted about the other day.
Manhunt on after woman found decapitated near survivalist bunker
A 26-year-old woman was found decapitated near a survivalist bunker on a northwest Washington property, prompting a search for a man described as a “person of interest” in the slaying.Katherine Cunningham was found dead Saturday on Camano Island, a rural island north of Seattle in Puget Sound. Her remains were found on an undeveloped property off Tamarack Lane, located in the southern portion of the Island County island.Investigators are now searching for Jacob Gonzales, a 34-year-old man believed to be driving a green 1990 Mitsubishi Montero with the Washington license number AYE2639. Gonzales is described as an Hispanic man with black hair and hazel eyes standing 5-feet-9 and weighing 150 pounds.Gonzales had rented a trailer on the Camano Island property, but it’s not clear when he had last been there, the sheriff said. He’s considered armed and dangerous. Detectives were investigating what link Gonzales had to Cunningham.Cunningham was found shortly before 2:30 p.m. Saturday, though she is believed to have died days before. Island County sheriff’s deputies and investigators with the Washington State Patrol crime lab searched the area and discovered a bunker in a nearby hill.

I hadn't heard they were in a relationship before but given the decapitation it makes sense as most horrific violence against women nearly always seems to be committed by their husbands or boyfriends.
Re: Random Thoughts
I should have included the article I read (duh, me):
https://www.seattletimes.com/seattle-news/crime/sheriff-body-found-near-camano-island-bunker-was-decapitated/
I have no idea if that woman is bullshitting or not but like you said and also from my knowledge of the Law and Order series, this murder with decapitation seems like it was personal. Like the person who killed her was angry and singled her out. The power of deduction!

A woman who knows Gonzales and Cunningham described them as boyfriend and girlfriend originally from California. The woman, who spoke on the condition of anonymity, said the couple lived with her family in an apartment in Stanwood for a brief time about 2 ½ years ago.

So here is something fun.
My eBay account was somehow compromised. This asshole tried to purchase an EO Tech EXPS2-2 Holographic Sight for $539. Then he started e-bombing me.
He's an amateur.
He made the purchase first, then started e-bombing me. You're supposed to start the e-bomb and then make the purchase later in the hopes I would miss the legitimate email of the purchase.
I called PayPal first. They sorted me out. A cool English dude cancelled the payment and credited my account. I deleted my credit card and bank account from PayPal to be safe.
Then I called eBay and had to jump through a couple of hoops but support took care of me and deleted that asshole's mobile number from my eBay and I set up two-factor authentication.
Lesson learned. I'm so stupid. I should have set up two-factor authentication on my eBay account but I never did. I have checked all my payment methods and the only thing this asshole did was try to buy that $539 item.
I'm still getting e-bombed. I got about 4,000 random emails in the last four hours. He's signing me up for a lot of shit and sending random companies support tickets which say "Hello. And bye.". No purchases, thankfully.
Google says this e-bomb will stop after a while. I can't drop this email address as it would disrupt my personal and professional life.
Again, lesson learned. Always set up two-factor authentication. He will never get into my Gmail account because you need my phone to access it. Fuck this is annoying. Gonna go to bread and wake up to 10,000 more emails.
Edit: Yea, I'm setting up two-factor authentication for everything that uses it.
I'm going to be suing eBay, PayPal, EO Tech, the school system, the mayor, the governor, and, now that you mention it, the NRA.
The emails are not stopping. I set up a few filters to automatically delete a huge number of emails being generated. Still getting shitloads of emails. The e-bomb is also fucking up the receipt of some emails. I got eBay and PayPal emails three hours after I sorted out the situation. The time sent on the email was three hours ago. Crazy.
I'm almost scared to go to bread because I don't want to deal with the mass amount of emails. I still have to sort through them to make sure there were no purchases made.
Oops. I just realized this post should have been in tge Random thread. My bad. Jeeeeeeeez. In my frustration I just posted in the last thread I had open.

Is that from streaming? Doesn't Netflix burn like 3gb for every 1 hour of viewing?
Re: Random Thoughts
Yes, it is from streaming. Whenever I'm home I have the TV on with something playing. If I'm not paying attention and I need white noise, I typically leave it on Cartoon Network or BBC. BBC has been playing tons of Planet Earth stuff lately.
And, typically, the TV only turns off when I go to bread.
You are correct about the 3GB per hour in HD. Standard definition stuff is 1GB per hour. This is according to Netflix website. I checked my usage and it is about right.

The reason I knew the Netflix usage offhand was because for years I couldn't have the service because my ISP offered no unlimited internet plans and only 100gb per month so 30 hours of netflix would have wiped out my entire monthly cap.

I don't believe Joey has spelled it "bed" in about six years, lol.
I think it's just humble way of telling us that he sleeps on a bed of money.
Re: Random Thoughts
Nah, dawggy. I say "bread" in place of "bed" in real life. It's from The Simpsons - the episode where Lisa was left in charge and Bart refused to listen. It is the origin of this gif
I also really call Amazon "Amarzon" in real life.

Teacher's Gun Goes Off In Lesson About Gun Safety, Injuring 3 Students
A teacher in California has reportedly accidentally fired a gun in a classroom, injuring three children.
Police were called to Seaside High School on Tuesday after Dennis Alexander, who was leading a class on gun safety, fired a semi-automatic weapon at the ceiling, local press reported.
The incident comes amid fierce debate about gun regulation following a shooting at a Florida High School in which 17 people were killed.
Survivors of the massacre have pressed for stricter gun control measures, but Donald Trump has suggested arming teachers.
At Seaside High School, one 17-year-old student was hit in the neck by debris falling from the ceiling or by bullet fragments, Seaside Police Chief Abdul Pridgen said.
None of the students were seriously injured and lessons resumed after the incident, according to police.
Mr Alexander is also a councilman and reserve police officer – a typically unpaid, part-time role – for the Sand City Police Department. An investigation into the event has opened and the force is considering whether a crime was committed.
“We’re looking into any violation of city ordinance or the penal code and we’ll determine whether or not there are any applicable charges,” Mr Pridgen told the Monterey County Herald.
Guns are banned on school premises, but there are exceptions for member of law enforcement, Mr Pridgen said.
The father of the 17-year-old boy who was injured told KSBW Mr Alexander was planning to use the gun to demonstrate of how to disarm someone.
He had just told pupils he wanted to make sure the weapon was not loaded when he inadvertently fired it.
“It’s the craziest thing. It could have been very bad,” he said.
The Monterey Peninsula Unified School District sent an email to the parents saying: “Upon learning of the incident, our human resources department, school site administration and the Seaside Police Department immediately began investigating the incident, including interviewing students in the class.”
Mr Alexander has been suspended while officials investigate, the letter said.
After Mr Trump indicated he would legislate to introduce arming teachers, his administration has left the issue of arming teachers up to states and local communities.
The President also backed away from raising the age limit to buy assault-style weapons, saying there was “not much political support” for the policy.
The NRA, which spent more than $11m (£7.91m) supporting Mr Trump during the 2016 election, announced it was suing the state of Florida last week over a new gun law signed by Republican Governor Rick Scott, banning the purchase of firearms by anyone under the age of 21, claiming it was unconstitutional.
The law also allows the arming and training of school staff and introduced a three-day waiting period on all gun sales and a ban on bump stocks, a device that enables semi-automatic rifles to fire hundreds of rounds a minute.
Prosecutors are seeking the death penalty for former student, 19-year-old Nikolas Cruz, who has been charged with 17 counts of premeditated murder and 17 counts of attempted murder over the shooting.
