Re: Random Thoughts
Back in April 2017, I spent a week in California. We have to bill our time to codes and that code was zoned to California. Because of that, I was considered to have earned five days of income in California and, subsequently, my firm gave me a damn W-2 for that one single week in California.
I wonder if that would be the same situation for professional athletes like basketball or baseball players. Would they have to file a tax return for every single state in which they play a game because they are earning revenue in each of those states?

No, because they're rich and they don't have to. Fuck you poor people who pay your taxes and ask questions.

Yea, my thoughts exactly. At least my firm gives me all TurboTax states for free or I would have had to pay another $20 just to prepare the California tax return.

Wow! That sucks joey. I wonder if they'd tax you if it was 3 days, they'd probably still find a way. lol

Isn't the entire point of taxes to keep the poor exactly that?

They absolutely do. It's usually referred to as the "Jock Tax".
It should come as no surprise it was California that started it back in the 90's, imposing taxes on Michael Jordan's Chicago Bulls when they beat the Lakers in the NBA Finals. Chicago then retaliated by taxing visiting teams from California - and it snowballed from there.
I think there's only about 2 or 3 states that don't apply such a tax.

The "Jock tax" sounds like another tax for rich people writing off their escorts as business expenditures.
Re: Random Thoughts
I have been using the "Free No-Rush Shipping" option on Amarzon for my last couple of orders because the stuff I bought were not fragile nor perishable and Amarzon offered me a $1 credit toward digital purchases if I used it. No-rush shipping typically has an estimated delivery date of about five days longer than two-day shipping.
Anyways, both orders I made came within two days plus I got the no-rush shipping bonus of $1 credit toward digital purchases. So I now have $2 credit and my orders were shipped the same speed as two-day shipping.

I used to do the same thing but when I would select No Rush and they would give Prime Pantry credits. I think it was like $5 for every order I no rushed and it was always on tech and tools. I racked up hundreds worth of free food over a few months.
Re: Random Thoughts
God damn, that is a good deal. I remember those $5 Pantry credits but I never used the service so I did not take advantage of that.
I'm going to start using the no-rush shipping option now for things which are not fragile (like my precious blu-rays). Rack up the credits and buy cool digital shit on Amarzon.

I didn't really set out to collect so much in Pantry credits cause it wasn't a service I ever used but since I was doing so much shopping at the time with multiple large orders a week, I just figured why not since it's free money and after a few months I had hundreds of dollars in food credits so I used em.

Avicii died today. Well, I'm writing this at 12:39am, Saturday morning, so I suppose I can say "yesterday". But then again, some of you guys are on the West Coast so it's still "today". Russ is in Australia so for him it is "yesterday".
I'm tired. I need to go to sleep.

I saw that and until his death headline I had no idea who he was but "EDM DJ Avicii dead" was all I needed to know before I lost interest and forgot about him again.
Are EDM DJ's an important part of big city culture?
Re: Random Thoughts
A lot of people here love EDM. I don’t actively listen to it. That is, I do not listen to it by choice. I prefer music from the 40’s through the 60’s, synthpop, and country.
I am only familiar with one track from Avicii called Wake Me Up and I don’t really like it.
But, hey, homeboy was worth like 100 million dollars so, yea, hewas pretty damn popular and very well-liked as a musician.
As jealous as I am about his wealth, it just goes to show money can’t solve everything. In May, I’ll be going on a cheap-o cruise. My buddies and I are in an inside room with no windows and the ship is from Norwegian (which is a pretty crappy cruise line). But Avicii isn’t going on a cruise or cacation ever again. Really puts everything into perspective.

A lot of people also love Jesus, still doesn't make it right.
He was worth $100 million but didn't even make it to 29 and died a DJ. I feel like "Darwin Award Winning DJ" should be etched on his turntable headstone because even though he may not have died doing something stupid, he died a DJ and in my book that still counts.

Yo man. This weekend was running a few errands. I went to Toys R Us to check out any sweet deals and there were none. Everything was 10% off. The sign said "Up to 40% off" but I did not see anything 40% off.
Then I went to TJ Maxx to see if I could find any cool shit for my house and wound up buying a pepper mill.
Next up was Target where I purchased a clothing hanger for my laundry room so I can hang dry my clothes instead of machine drying which wears out clothing faster.
Sunday was my grandma's birfday. Went to a buffet and met with some cousins from out of town to eat mediocre Chinese food.
Today, I spent the day hanging out with my niece and I cut my hair. I did it myself and saved like $20.
I've been reading up about Allison Mack trying to see what's up. Judge refused to let her out of jail without bail because she's a flight risk. She's due back in court soon. She spent the weekend in jail.
I also started playing a game called Tales of Graces f on the PS3. It's a Japanese RPG and the story is pretty aiight. The characters are pretty good, too. I'm about half-way through the game with about 25 hours played. Definitely looking forward to see how this story ends.
As you can see, my life is just packed with excitement.

Apple just announced their newest iPad yesterday which is supposed to be the "best iPad ever". Somehow, next year, their 2019 iPad will be better than this one as that one will be the "best iPad ever".
Apple put the A10 processor in this one which is the same processor as the iPhone 7. The iPhone 8 and X have the A11 processor. I wonder why they did not put the A11 into the iPad.
I was considering getting the Amarzon Fire HD 8 for streaming and usage as a cheap-o tablet (less than $100) but for about $300 more you can use an iPad which is like 10x more versatile.

Mack is absolutely a flight risk, they established the cult in several countries for this exact reason. Though it is strange that when he was arrested, they were in Mexico and yet she still came back to NYC. I criminal mastermind she is not...

Just busy with work man. Can't post at work because I have to use my phone and everything is so small that I don't bother with it.
I bought a lawn mower and cut the grass on Saturday which took me 45 mins at Home Depot to decide on the right one and 2 and a half hours to cut it and I don't even know where Sunday went. We had some people over and that day was gone too.
I've been watching most shows a day or 2 late these days because I can't find the time.
I think working part time is the sweet spot to get anything done. Fuck, I got tons of games I want to play and God of War just came out too.

I bought a sweeeeet electric mower from Greenworx last month and was so impressed I bought their weed whacker too. It's nice not having to add fuel or deal with long ass extension cords.

Yes, I am grandfathered in at 30 movies per month. This does not bode well. They will get less subscribers now with this change. Yet they are losing money if they keep it at 30 movies per month. I just don't understand how they thought this would work.

I considered an electric one but Honda is said to be the number one brand and I needed a basic one so I got this one instead. Used less than 1 Gal of gas so $1.50 to mow the whole lawn is not too bad.

They probably use the same business model as gyms. For every $1000 yearly membership paid that gets used every day, there would be 5 that only go twice a year. They make their money from those that don't go.
Difference is, going to the gym is for the motivated. Movies are for the less inclined

Wow I just read that they've finally made an arrest in the Golden State Killer case. The GSK was responsible for at least 12 homicides and something like 50 rapes during home invasions in the 1970s and 1980s in sprees throughout California. At this point though they're not releasing any names yet or what finally led them to this suspect. Patton Oswalt's late wife Jennifer McNamara was a true crime author and her final book was about the Golden State Killer.

Have you guys heard about the virgin in Toronto who targeted women in a rented van and ran them over?
The media is saying he had a grudge against women for always being rejected.
He will never have to worry about being rejected by women again. In fact, he will never have to worry about seeing a real live woman ever again. He will never have to worry about his steak being under or over-cooked or worry about being late and missing his flight while going on vacation to anywhere in the whole world.
As Trump would say: Total loser.

I was entirely unfamiliar with this story until now and it seems there will never be a limit to depravity, every day a new low. However, you seem to not understand how disturbed a lot of women truly are and not only will he be getting fan mail but also lots of visits too. Every serial killer, rapist or mass murderer that has ever been behind bars has fans that love them because people are fucking insane and women who were traumatized in their youth are often compulsively drawn to shit magnets. IE, Trump and this serial killing virgin too.

My laundry just finished. My washer is a Samsung (Wylde's favorite appliance brand) and when it finishes its load (uh huh huh huh huh "load" huh huh huh), it plays a little jingle. Creeps me out. I need to figure out how to turn that shit off.

My Kenmore washer has a "Chime" On and Off selection right near the dial. It plays a little ditty to let me know it's time for the dryer but I just mute that and set my oven timer.

Update on my washer: I found the button to shit it off. It is labeled "Sound". Who woulda thought???
I have been kicking my own ass over the weekend. I just got back in to the gym (home gym - I got an IronMaster Super Bench and PowerBlocks up to 70lbs).
Damn, I haven't felt sore like this in a while. Been too busy getting fat.
I started taking some supplements to give myself an edge.
1. Optimum Nutrition AMIN.O Energy
2. Optimum Nutrition Creatine
3. BSN N.O.-Xplode
Will be picking up some Optimum Nutrition Lean Protein soon, too, to use as meal replacements. I need to cut fat as fast as possible.

Woo hoo I hope these are as delicious as reviews say they are. Optimum Nutrition's AMIN.O Energy drinks are really tasty. Like Gatorade.
