That was a bullshit trailer. lol! It's nice that there is a Batman game after the Arkham series though. I just hope this is just as good. I don't recognize the studio.

I'd be shocked if his death hadn't been drug related, it's Scott Weiland.

I hadn't noticed but it appears that the OG thread was locked on October 27th and another was created. It appears the forum automatically did this because I unlocked the OG tried to post and immediately it was locked and I was redirected to the new thread.

Forumotion felt like the insanity was getting to immeasurable levels. In order to keep the forum from imploding, they had to lock down the original and open up this new one for us.

Welland was raped by an older student, when he was 12 yrs old.
That probably factored into his long time struggle with drugs.

Some of the greatest music of all-time was written by junkies and they're usually the ones who ended up in the 27 Club so Weiland lasting as long as he did was just pure luck. It's sad that he died young but that guy also lived a very hard and wild life for a very long time so it's not like he didn't get to enjoy it.

I'm watching a movie on Hallmark Channel called Just in Time for Christmas. It's about a girl who has to make an important decision and then gets transported into the future by a carriage driving William Shatner to see what life would be like had she made one of the decisions.
Her grandfather is played by Christopher Lloyd! And they have a cheesy conversation.
Girl: I think I'm losing my mind.
Grandpa: I don't think you're losing your mind.
Girl: I have no other explanation for why I think I'm going crazy.
Grandpa: It could be anything. Maybe time travel?
LOL

oh man, this ending skit on WWE is just awful. It's almost painful to watch. You got two guys who are possibly the worst guys to have on mics trying to do a promo against each other (Roman Reigns and Sheamus). This is so bad and I can't stop watching.

If you're interested in playing some PS4 games, like 3 games or more, I say buy it. I don't think it's going any lower any time soon. That said, if you've got other things more important that you need.....this can wait.

There are a few PS4 games I'm interested in but all I really need is Fallout 4 cause that's a few hundred hours worth of gaming easily. Though I am curious about Star Wars Battlefield but I imagine it's a monster bandwidth eater.
Also, Kirk Douglas turned 99 years old today! Holy shit!

Re: Random Thoughts
I'm going to hold off on the PS4 until next year or whenever it hits $199. lol I have waaaaay too many games to play right now. Way too many on my 360 and PS3. Fallout 4 has gotten rave reviews from my buddies. They all love it.
Did anyone here watch UFC 194 with Aldo vs McGregor? I watched a repeat of the weigh-in on Friday night where Aldo does that silly pose when they "face off". As soon as I saw that, I wanted him to get destroyed. What a douche. And then he got knocked out in 13 seconds of the first round. That was very satisfying made even better after seeing the awesome picture of the knockout punch.
Aldo even hit McGregor with that left hook but I think it lost so much steam after McGregor smashed his face the punch didn't even phase McGregor. A couple of hammer punches to Aldo's face after Aldo hit the ground, the referee stopped the fight. Aldo almost cried when Joe Rogan interviewed him after the fight which is understandable after all that showboating.

Re: Random Thoughts
I love watching fighting but 13 second KO's are why I no longer pay $70 for UFC PPV's twice a month there's just too many of them. Though I've never cared for Jose and McGregor is an amusing mean little fucker so I loved reading that he he went lights out on Aldo.

Just saw the trailer for a movie called He Never Died. Henry Rollins looks pretty badass in this movie. I wanna see it. It's coming out next Friday (18 December).
Also watched the trailer for The Forest. Looks like a shitty horror movie with pervasive loud noise jump scares.

I bought a new TV two weeks ago. Upgrading from my 32" Sony, to a 49" LG.
It's still in the box. Unopened.
To get the best viewing point/distance, I need to re-arrange the room it's in. Unfortunately that means moving both the shelving and contents for over 1000 Blu-Rays, 1500 vinyl records, 2 chest's of drawer's, half a dozen boxes full of comics, and a bookshelf with approx 300 books/graphic novels etc.
I think I'll wait a couple of weeks for when I'm on holidays. I can do it piece by piece

Nice, I wouldn't have my tv any other way than wall mounted. Same for my movie racks which I built for my purposes. Are you doing any custom storage and remodeling or shuffling everything around?

The point of custom is too make up for lack of space, at least that's part of why I did it. If you have access to saws or a welder, you can build anything you can imagine.
I've also recently been refinishing cheap furniture from thrift stores, yard sales, flea markets and such buying em for $5-$15 and selling them for some pretty nice profits. I sold a dresser for $350 on craigslist last month that I refinished in a weekend and I only paid $8 for it.
I was just bored and looking for some more woodworking projects when I realized I can make some pretty decent money putting to use the very few skills I have by repairing or reconditioning old furniture in my garage.

Los Angeles Schools Closed Over Threat
The Los Angeles Unified School District has closed all schools in the district over an unspecified threat. The “credible electronic” threat was called in to a School Board member early this morning, and the closure affects all 900-or-so LAUSD campuses, according to Schools Superintendent Ramon Cortines. The district sent a tweet at 7:24 am announcing the closure. LAUSD schools are closed today due to credible threat.

Re: Random Thoughts
New York received a similar threat and deemed it a hoax. Another news outlet (the daily rag here in NYC) reports that the NYPD Commissioner said the Los Angeles school closure was a "significant overreaction".
New York police think similar threat a 'hoax'
New York Police Commissioner Bill Bratton said a superintendent in his city's school system -- the country's largest -- received an email "almost exactly the same" as one sent to Los Angeles.
New York police think it is a "hoax," not a credible threat, according to Bratton. The message is believed to have originated overseas but does not seem tied to a jihadist initiative, the commissioner said, noting Allah -- the Arabic word for God -- is not spelled with a capital A.
Haber, the Los Angeles school representative, said the email threat to that district appeared to have come from Frankfurt, Germany.
The FBI is working with New York as well as Los Angeles police on the threat, according to Bratton.
Calling the writing generic, New York Mayor Bill de Blasio said it's important that people don't overreact.
"(It would be a) huge disservice to our nation," the mayor said, "to close down our school system."

While I think it would be really fun to read all the outrage online if PSN or XBL goes down, I hope it doesn't go down mainly because it's Christmas break and it would suck for some of us to not have access to the online services. Part of me wants it to go down and another part of me doesn't.
