Been watching some vids and looks kind of hard. My uncle is good with this kind of stuff so hopefully we can do it together. If not, no other choice but to take it to shop.

Would get a second opinion if you can before paying for it.

An honest mechanic is a rare thing, but an honest mechanic who's also competent is pretty much a unicorn.

I trust him. He's a friend of my uncle's and he always gives me a discount compared to Car-X or whatever auto shop. I know what you mean though, mechanics can't be trusted and especially if you're a new costumer and don't know shit about cars.

Bought the part online for $150 with tie rods included. He told me not to buy it off Autozone because the cost is almost twice as much.

Good deal and absolutely true about AZ. What brand did you go with by the way?

They're called Detroit Axle. Never heard or bought from them before but it's made in the US with lifetime warranty, can't beat that.

I came across them once or twice before but can't speak as to quality though I didn't warranty one in two years.

Jared Fogle’s Alleged Child-Sex Party Plans Revealed in Disturbing Recordings

Jared Fogle, the disgraced former Subway pitchman, allegedly planned a party to lure child victims, according to recordings aired on Friday’s “Dr. Phil.”

During the episode, former Florida journalist Rochelle Herman-Walrond — who helped bring Fogle to justice — played recordings of conversations in which the pair discussed a party which would be attended by numerous children, including Herman-Walrond’s son and daughter.

“Jared wanted to me to plan a party,” Herman-Walrond told host Phil McGraw. “He wanted me to set up my children, but along with their friends and their friends’ siblings.”

“Very, very nice” Fogle is heard saying in response to the party plans. “I mean, I definitely want to see your kids naked too, okay?”

Random Thoughts Jared-fogle

During the episode, Herman-Walrond also detailed how Fogle had asked about placing cameras in the bedrooms of her children.

“What if we, what if we put a camera in your kids’ room, would they be okay with that?” Fogle is heard saying in the recordings. “Would you rather have it in your son or your daughter’s room?”

In the recordings, Fogle discussed his desire for middle-school girls, saying, “I love the middle schools and that … Girls are starting to get (expletive), you know. Cause you know how much I love big (expletive). You know I love huge (expletive).”

He also said that “early middle school” is a prime age for targeting children, because “they don’t know if they’re coming or going.”

In the recordings, Fogle also coached Herman-Walrond —  who turned the recordings over to the FBI as they built a case against Fogle —  on how to gain children’s trust, instructing her to “get to know ‘em .. you know, do little touchy, feely things with them.”

During Friday’s interview, Herman-Walrond also recalled Fogle telling her about a trip to meet up with a six-year-old girl.

Random Thoughts Jared-fogle-2
“At one point he called me and was telling me about a six-year-old little girl. And that he was flying over to see her,” she said, adding that the conversation led her to believe that the girl’s parents were complicit.

Fogle pleaded guilty in August to receiving and distributing child pornography, as well as engaging in an unlawful sex act with a minor.

As a condition of the plea deal, Fogle agreed to a sentence of no less than five years in prison, and the government will not seek a sentence longer than 12 and a half years. However, a judge could give him a longer sentence. He will also undergo treatment for sexual disorders upon his release and will register as a sex offender.

Fogle has paid out $1 million in restitution to his victims so far, in the form of $100,000 checks to 10 of his victims over the past several weeks, the Associated Press reports. He still has to pay out a total of $400,000 to his remaining four victims.

Fogle will be sentenced on Nov. 19 by U.S. District Court judge Tanya Walton Pratt.

Post by WyldeMan 10/30/2015, 4:36 pm

I'd really like to know just what the fuck this Herman-Walrond broad was doing the entire time she was talking to Subway Jared about wanting to rape her children and their friends. I keep reading endlessly about how she listened to him and recorded him and from what I gather it appears to be years worth of recordings. She listened to him plan the rapes of children and she what, pretended to be into it for years while they recorded this shit? Am I the only one wondering what the hell this woman was doing continuing to let him around her children and talking about her children? The FBI I get them doing nothing because they work for the government but this woman allowed this disgusting fuck to continue to be in her life. I miss the days when guys like him went into the woods with a few locals and was never heard from again. Now thanks to government interference we spend years collecting data instead of ending it before the children are abused. A 35 cent bullet or millions in court costs, years of trials and a string of abused children? Maybe it's just me but these options don't even feel like options....

I don't remember the old articles, but in that one it makes it sound like after she turned the evidence into the FBI, they did get involved. I'm with you on why the fuck did she not report him to someone sooner.

Obviously he was very comfortable with the woman since he was asking her about seeing her children naked. I swear I read she worked with them for four years but either way, a lot of negligence seems to have been involved and she is at fault too.

I hate how blu-ray.com tries to be slick and changes their amazon.com or blu-ray.com links for their movies. I just delete all my amazon cookies when they pull that shit but that it is still annoying. It just happened to me.

UltimateMarvel wrote:Anyone know if it's ok to use latex caulk with silicone for a bathtub?

Silicone and latex are the two best choices for caulking a bathtub. Silicone adheres best to slick, nonporous surfaces such as glass, ceramic tile and metal. Latex is better for uneven, porous or mismatched surfaces such as stone tiles or wood trim near the base of the tub. Silicone caulk requires some practice or skill to apply evenly since it is not as forgiving or as easy to manipulate as latex. It must be cleaned up with mineral spirits and can be difficult to remove when it is time for caulking to be replaced. It remains flexible under all types of conditions and lasts longer than latex. Latex caulk is easy to apply, and small mistakes can be fixed by running a wet finger along the bead. It can dry and crack over time and must be replaced more often than silicone. Some manufacturers offer latex caulk with a silicone additive; this caulk is intended to be easy to apply but last longer than plain latex.

I watched some YouTube videos and some used silicone and some used a combination of both and I was just wondering. I just scrapped the hell out of the tub and I was just about to apply the new caulk but I wanted to be sure first. Thanks!

I didn't watch it either, who would? Would be great if it had audio. I don't know how he did that non stop though. It's nice to be able to do that though, seeing your work like that. He's never watched his own movies and during talk shows, he always looks away or is looking down so he doesn't watch a clip from his own movie. It's why this is a "thing" I guess. Free tickets, I'd go and kick it with him if he did that in my area. Be hard to find seats though.

Greetings from Firenze, Italy, mothafockazzz!!! Or for you normies out there, some call it "Florence".

Not a bad flight. about 9 hours. I think a little bit less. More like 8.5? And also took two trains. Easy!

I watched San Andreas on the plane. Good movie! It kept me pretty entertained. I like The Rock. He's pretty in all his roles lately. He's not just an action guy. His dramatic roles are pretty okay. Was he ever formally trained as an actor or was WWE his training grounds?

Anyway, hope all is well. Gotta go get some gelato. Chocolate gelato!

Oh yea, and my bank (Ally Bank) didn't properly do my travel notifications so my debit card was blocked. I called them up and got that straightened out.... I hope! Gonna go try it soon. My credit card worked without a hitch, though. Woo woo!

As far as I can recall Rocky played ball for the U then went right into the WWF, don't think he was ever trained because if you watch his early movies he's terrible and I think he just learned through experience and trial and error cause he has gotten much better over the years. Alexandra Daddario and Carla Gugino made that movie worth watching but the action was so OTT it was hilarious. I actually enjoyed SA much much more than the F7.

Enjoying any fine Italian cuisine or just the food? Cool

Just saw the news on France. The news I'm reading says it's "throughout" Paris. Holy crap.

looks like the terrorists have been stopped and from the looks of it, there are over 50 dead. Ugh

And call me stupid but why Paris? Why France? They appear to have been attacked a lot in the past.

Good question! I don't get it either. I just found out and don't know too much of the details but I'm glad they stopped them.

Are the terrorists dead?

ISIS Claims Responsibility For Paris Attacks That Left At Least 128 Dead, Including 100 At Concert Venue
UPDATED Saturday, 6:30 AM: The Islamic State released a statement early today claiming responsibility for the Paris attacks that left a reported 128 dead at six separate sites. Calling France a “capital of prostitution and obscenity,” the statement said, “Let France and those who walk in its path know that they will remain on the top of the list of targets of the Islamic State.” The encrypted claim was published in Arabic, English and French on the Islamic State’s Telegram account and then re-transmitted by the group’s supporters on Twitter.

Around the world, from Sydney, Australia to New York City, the French Tricolor illuminated iconic sites to demonstrate sympathy and solidarity with the French people. Vigils are being planned as well, with two in New York City preparing for this afternoon and evening — one in Union Square and another near the French embassy on Fifth Avenue, according to local news reports.

UPDATED, Saturday 14 November, 02.32 AM: French President Francois Hollande has labelled the terror attacks in Paris “an act of war” organized by the Islamic State, and vowed that France “will be merciless toward the barbarians of Islamic State group.”

Speaking at a televised press conference, Hollande issued a strong address to a mourning nation, saying the attacks were “committed by a terrorist army, the Islamic State group, a jihadist army, against France, against the values that we defend everywhere in the world, against what we are: a free country that means something to the whole planet.”

His address was covered live by the majority of the international media, including Sky News, the BBC and CNN.  He has declared three days of national mourning and put the country’s security on the highest level of alert. Hollande confirmed the death rate currently stood at 128 fatalities. Also on Saturday, a video purportedly released by Islamic State, released through Islamic State’s propaganda arm, vowed that, “As long as you keep bombing you will not live in peace. You will even fear traveling to the market.” France is part of the international coalition, including the U.S., UK and a number of Arab countries, targeting IS in Syria and Iraq, where the fanatical terrorists have suffered a number of strategic losses in recent days.

UPDATED, 8:16 PM: A source tells Deadline that all the Eagles of Death Metal band members are safe and in the process of returning to the U.S.

WRITETHRU, 7:51 PM: At least 120 people and as many as 160 were killed in a series of coordinated terrorist attacks in Paris on Friday, including at least 100 in a packed concert hall. Coming 10 months after a dozen people were killed at the offices of satire magazine Charlie Hebdo, It was the deadliest violence in the French capital since World War II.

Reports on the number of casualties vary, but French police have confirmed at least 120 dead and more than 200 wounded.

A half-dozen separate incidents rocked Paris, including multiple bombs that detonated outside the Stade de France, where the country’s national soccer team was playing against Germany. President François Hollande was at the game but was evacuated. In a televised address later, he called the attacks “a terrible trauma for France” and declared a state of emergency in the country and ordered its borders sealed. Authorities said 1,500 extra soldiers have been deployed in Paris.

Paris’ chief prosecutor said there were at least seven attackers, and police believe all of them were killed.

President Obama called the carnage “a heartbreaking situation.” “This is an attack of all of humanity and the universal values that we share,” he said in a televised address. “We stand prepared to provide whatever assistance the government and people of France need to respond. France is our oldest ally … and we want to be very clear that we stand together with them in the fight against terrorism and extremism.” He did not take questions from reporters.

Most of the victims of Friday’s violence were attending a sold-out concert by Southern California rock band Eagles of Death Metal at Le Bataclan. Police said multiple gunmen and

three suicide bombers attacked the venue, and reports say hostages and were being shot one by one with automatic weapons. Police said that French SWAT teams ultimately stormed the 1,500-capacity venue, and three of the attackers blew themselves up with suicide vests. Michael Dorio, brother of the band’s drummer Julian Dorio, told CNN that his brother told him the group was performing and stopped playing when they heard gunshots and “hit the deck and went backstage and exited as fast as they could.” There has been no official comment from the group, and the latest posting on its social media pages said, “We are currently trying to determine the safety and whereabouts of all our band and crew.”

Rock band U2 said tonight that it has canceled its planned concert Saturday at AccorHotels Arena that HBO was planning to film and air as a special later Saturday in the U.S. Elsewhere in the City of Lights, the Live Earth concert — a 24-hour event organized by Al Gore’s Climate Reality that included such superstar acts as Elton John, Pharrell, Neil Young and Duran Duran — was ended after word of the attacks spread. “Out of solidarity with the French people and the City of Paris, we have decided to suspend our broadcast,” the group said in a statement.

American cable news networks were quick to cut to live coverage of the tragedy by about 1:20 PM PT. When word of the attacks first broke, MSNBC tossed to Brian Williams, per NBC News’ stated plan to have him anchor the cable news network during big breaking news events. “Kate and I are both struggling with high school French recall,” Williams said as MSNBC’s pickup of a French TV station showed the banner: “Prise D’Otages En Cours Au Bataclan.”

At 1:39 PM, George Stephanopoulos broke in with ABC coverage of the attacks for about two minutes. ABC came back again just after the top of the hour. At 1:47 PM, NBC went live with coverage hosted by Lester Holt. Fox local also broke in for special report from Fox News’ Shep Smith on the cable news net, and CBS had a Scott Pelley-hosted special report. Later in the evening, CBS News had a special 1-hour telecast – the only one of the networks to extend its nightly broadcast.
