I got gas for 1.83 a gallon today. I was happy with that.

That's a pretty fun poster but that "Nuke it from orbit" line sucks. So many turbonerds say that shit along with "kill it with fire".

In light of Russ laying the smackdown on me, I will say that when Ripley says it, hell yes. Good movie. Good line. In any other context I will respectfully say no! Stupid internet people ruined it.

They're fighting. That's the last fight between Samurai Cop Joe and Yamashita (Robert Zdar). It was a pretty intense fight.

Absolutely. Blades clanging, disarming each other, fisticuffs. You seriously need to get on this film. It is so absurd.

Also, I highly recommend Undefeatable starring Cynthia Rothrock as the street fighter, Kristi Jones, fighting to win money to put her little sister through college. John Miller as Nick DiMarco, the martial arts fighting cop who goes after Stingray (Don Niam), a psychopath who delights in beating on women and ripping out their eyes.

Check this final battle (no spoilers, don't worry).

Joey, did you hear the new crazy Kevin Nash arrest story? His 18 year old 6'5" 200lb son came home drunk and spit in his mother's face and got really belligerent with both her and Nash and then he elbow checked Nash in the face so Nash CHOKESLAMMED his son into the ground knocking his punk ass the fuck out. But both got arrested and WWE immediately severed all ties with Nash.

Surely a blood test would put me well over the legal driving limit, yet all I can think of is having something to eat and going to bed. Not because I'm totally shit-faced, but because I'm bored as shit and feel no different than I did after 2 beers.

I think it's time I give alcohol a miss. My body's obviously built up a certain tolerance.

I was just looking at the pass rates for the Uniform CPA Exam and it seems to be less than 50% pass rate.

The rough part is that the pass rate for the entire examination is likely even less than that. Just because someone can pass one or even three sections, that candidate may not pass the fourth. That's pretty nuts.

Did you already pass this or is it another cert you're going after?

I have already passed those exams and am licensed. Sometimes I like to go back and look at how others who are pursuing licensure as a public accountant are doing. It reminds me of a point in my life where I felt like I was going crazy and just wanted to crawl under a rock forever. LOL

Oh ok, I knew you were licensed but I didn't know if there was only one or if you needed different licenses for different things.

How's this for random? Brad and Angelina's 8 year old daughter Shiloh has decided she wants to be a boy and has now changed her name to John....cannot say I saw that coming. This came out after she showed up to the Broken premiere with Brad and all her brothers dressed in a suit and tie looking like a boy. Apparently she's been dressing like a boy for five years now.

This sounds like a very interesting film. Listened to a recent Kevin Smith podcast where him and Mosier talked about it after getting their batch of Academy Award screener's (I'm guessing the screener is where this rip came from). This is the one that stuck with them the most. I'll definitely be checking the Blu-Ray out.

FUCK! My Blu-Ray player has shit itself.

A couple months ago it stopped loading DVD's. I had to open/close the tray anywhere from 2 to 20 times before it would load a DVD, but a few weeks ago it stopped altogether. A few days ago it started doing it with Blu-Rays, and for the last 5 minutes I've been trying to load one with no success. I think it's dead.

Worst possible time too. I promised myself when I bought this one it'd be my last cheapy. When I purchased it it was my 3rd in 3 years. So I thought "fuck it, if I buy again, it's going to be quality. Next will be an OPPO." Unfortunately I don't have the $800 or so to get one right now. This also happened 30 minutes after placing a $200 order at Amazon.

I really should start charging Gary for digital codes.

My PS3 was doing that, not reading DVD's. I use a Samsung BD player now and basically use my PS3 for streaming video.

Only ever used PS3's and have yet to have a single problem with them as my BD player over the years.

PS3's probably have a better build quality than the average cheap consumer BD player - unfortunately, a PS3 would also compel me to buy games. I'd love that, but absolutely do not need another financial expenditure at this point.

Guess I'll have stick to whatever is on my computer for a couple of weeks.

You know what's retarded? I still haven't thrown the previous two players away for that very reason. Each new player is stacked on the other, because my thinking for this sort of stuff is "if I'm going to replace it, I should at least pull it apart and see if I can figure out what's wrong with it".

Comes from the car guy in me. Every time I've had to replace a dodgy distributor, or a failed fuel pump, etc, before junking it I'll still pull it apart to see if I can learn a thing or two. Unfortunately that behaviour has never truly manifested with electronics. I say I will, but it'll sit there for 3 years before I have a clean-out and say "fuck it", and toss it.
