Phoenix police have officially booked Warren Sapp on two misdemeanor counts of assault and one of soliciting a prostitute, and the NFL Network now says it has fired him. “Warren Sapp’s contract has been terminated, and he no longer works for NFL Network,” network spokesman Alex Riethmiller said in a statement. In the three-minute clip, JCVD cuts together a ton of hilariously non-contextual scenes for use in an amateur film, a meme, a video clip, whatever you want. (Bonus points go to the first person to create a mini-movie out of just these clips). There’s JCVD pulling you to safety, covering your back as he shoots off crazy rounds of bullets, staring off into the distance, shaking his head and telling you “no!” and threatening various imaginary foes. Most importantly, “do you like sushi?”

He even helpfully includes sound effects, explosions, and even lets you save the girl as he diffuses a bomb in two seconds (and has immense fun in doing so).

Nothing more can be said, this is utterly fantastic. I’m looking forward to seeing Reddit flooded with submissions in the coming days and weeks. You can try it yourself by downloading the reel via Keep Vid.

Update: In quite possibly the greatest bit of irony, the video has been taking down due to copyright claims by Funny or Die. They held a contest to insert the footage into people's own video projects, and now that contest is over. I guess that footage could only be free for that amount of time. Damn you!

NBC News President Deborah Turness said Friday that an internal investigation had been launched after questions arose over Williams' false on-air statements that he was in a helicopter hit by a rocket-propelled grenade while in Iraq in 2003. Williams apologized for those statements on Wednesday.

Since Williams' apology, questions also have been raised about his claim that he saw a body or bodies in the Hurricane Katrina floodwaters that hit New Orleans in 2005.


His remarks in a 2006 interview drew suspicion because there was relatively little flooding in New Orleans' French Quarter, the area where Williams was staying. A person at NBC confirmed that Williams stayed at the Ritz-Carlton, which is in an area where a news photographer and a law enforcement official said they saw bodies.
