Arnold Schwarzenegger Recovering After Second Heart Surgery
METOO - Random Thoughts - Page 11 Arnold10
If there’s one thing we’ve learned about Arnold Schwazenegger, it’s that he’ll be back. The former governor, action hero, and reality TV host just had another heart operation, but he is doing well and already walking about.

The surprise revelation of a new surgery came after the 73-year-old Schwarzenegger posted a series of photos to Twitter. He said he now has a “new aortic valve to go along with my new pulmonary valve from my last surgery.” The other surgery occurred two years ago.

This time, Schwarzenegger went to the Cleveland Clinic. He didn’t reveal the timing on the operation, but said he is feeling “fantastic” and thanked everyone at the hospital. He also revealed he’s been “walking the streets of Cleveland.”

Animaniacs brings back memories. Glad the new generation will get introduced to it. Animation is a lot cleaner now, that's for sure.

I came across this parody on YouTube based on the 1917 movie and I thought it was funny and well made:

That parody film is pretty good. I did notice a couple of the cuts. Very clever and well-done. I haven't seen 1917 but after seeing 2020, I'd like to check it out.

They're a lot cleaner and so much more vibrant today. Animated shows and movies today use such a vivid display of colors that were just not used in our day.

Every time I've gone back to check out a cartoon that I loved from the 80's or 90's, those dull muted boring as fuck colors instantly make me regret my decision.

Looking back, it's hard not to notice the sweeping change in animation following Pixar's arrival on the scene with Toy Story, after that everything was different.

Uhhh, what? There were plenty of bright colors in 80' and 90's cartoons. The only muted colored cartoons I can think of are more “mature” ones like ThunderCats, early Ninja Turtles and then Batman

WOAH JOEY!!!! I wonder what's gonna happen with Allison now?!?!?!

NXIVM Frontman Keith Raniere Sentenced to 120 Years in Prison
METOO - Random Thoughts - Page 11 Ranier10
Spoiler alert for Season 2 of HBO’s The Vow: Keith Raniere is going to prison for a very long time.

The NXIVM leader was sentenced on Tuesday in a Brooklyn federal court to 120 years in prison for sex trafficking and other crimes committed in connection with his “self-improvement” cult.

More than a dozen of Raniere’s victims —including India Oxenberg, daughter of Dynasty actress and Vow star Catherine Oxenberg — gave testimony during the trial. “You are a sexual predator, and you raped me,” India Oxenberg told Raniere in court. “When you touched me, I recoiled.”

In June 2019, Raniere was convicted of crimes including racketeering, sex trafficking, forced labor conspiracy, identity theft, and production and possession of child pornography. Smallville alum Allison Mack, one of the cult’s most notable recruiters (who was featured heavily in Season 1), has pleaded guilty to various charges and is awaiting sentencing.

It was earlier this month that HBO ordered a second season of its NXIVM-themed docuseries The Vow. The new episodes — which will premiere in 2021 — will offer an “exclusive view” into Raniere’s “innermost circle” while delving “into the stories of NXIVM’s top leadership in the US and Mexico, and into powerful, intimate stories of DOS members,” per the premium cabler. The follow-up will also continue to track “the legal and emotional journeys of the group’s founders, supporters and defectors as new evidence and stunning revelations come to light while federal prosecutors and defense attorneys battle for opposing views of justice in a case caught in the national spotlight.”

The Greatest Horror Villains of All Time Unite in Warner Bros.' Halloween Supercut Video
Halloween is just around the corner and Warner Bros. is celebrating with a supercut of some of the greatest horror villains in history. The studio has released a new supercut video titled The Greatest Horror Villains of All Time. It unites genre legends such as Freddy Kreuger, Pennywise, Leatherface and more under the same roof to help get fans in the spirit of the season.

The video stitches together some of the best scenes and iconic moments from horror and genre movies that have been released by Warner Bros. over the years. A Nightmare on Elm Street, The Lost Boys, Beetlejuice, IT, Annabelle, The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, The Shining and The Exorcist are including, among many others. The focus is not so much on the individual movies themselves, but the horror villains contained within the franchises. So we get a glimpse of Freddy, Regan, La Llorona, Pennywise and Spike doing what they do best. It works like a little mixtape of some of horror's finest moments from a wide variety of subgenres and icons.

More than anything the video serves as a reminder that Warner Bros. is an absolute powerhouse when it comes to horror. A Nightmare on Elm Street, The Exorcist, IT, Poltergeist, Gremlins, The Texas Chainsaw Massacre and The Conjuring universe all live under the same roof. As far as mainstream horror icons and beloved franchises go, it would be tough for another studio to top that lineup. Not to mention that, depending on how things shake out with the ongoing lawsuit, Warner Bros. could end up controlling Jason Voorhees and the Friday the 13th franchise again in the future.

As for the status of some of these franchises and icons, Wes Craven's estate has been taking pitches for a new Nightmare on Elm Street movie. Freddy has been away from the big screen for a decade at this point. Jason, as mentioned, is locked up in a messy rights lawsuit and we won't be seeing him in a new movie until that gets worked out. We got word earlier this year that a new movie within The Exorcist franchise is coming our way, though few details have been made available as of yet. Legendary, meanwhile, recently revealed the first poster for the new Texas Chainsaw Massacre movie, which will be tied directly to Tobe Hooper's seminal 1974 horror classic.

Gremlins 3 remains on the backburner but an animated series is currently in the works. As far as The Conjuring universe goes, Warner Bros. and New Line aren't letting that cash cow dry up any time soon. The Conjuring: The Devil Made Me Do It, which recently released a first-look featurette, is set to arrive in theaters next summer. Further spin-offs, such as The Nun 2 and The Crooked Man are also in the works. IT Chapter Two seemingly concluded Bill Skarsgard's run as Pennywise. But given how much money the movies made, never say never. Be sure to check out The Greatest Horror Villains of All Time video from the Warner Bros. Entertainment YouTube channel.

Allison Mack must be sweating bullets now knowing Keith Raniere got 120 years. As his right-hand-woman, she will probably get a decently long sentence even taking into consideration her guilty plea.

I saw this video on my feed which is an "interview" between Mack and Raniere and it is crazy to see Mack so enamored with the bullshit Raniere has to say. It's not even anything really intelligent. It's just stuff a normal person who was brought up right by good parents would say. The video is over an hour and a half but if you skip around and listen, it's just garbage. I'm no psychiatrist but I feel like I can see how people who are vulnerable and impressionable can be drawn in by such "wisdom".

Before his sentencing, I honestly figured with all the blackmail Keith had, that he'd get off with a light sentence and Allison would get maybe 2 years in a country club. But now, she might get decades....

The way she reacts to him is the same way certain people react to the President, he's not saying anything even remotely intelligent it's barely coherent at best but mentally damaged people react to his words like they're being hypnotized them.

I've been binging Archer on Hulu for the last couple of months and damn do I love this show. I'm on Archer Vice where they've started a drug cartel. Archer's autism makes for some amazingly enjoyable moments when he's in the field. They've turned Cheryl into Cherlene the country singer with a brain chip. Lana is knocked up. Ray has cyborg legs and Pam is constantly consuming massive quantities of cocaine. This is one of the craziest animated series I've seen and I'm only on season 4.

No doubt, Benjamin has an extremely recognizable voice, I remember him from Home Movies.

I've been a fan of Judy Greer's since Jawbreaker but I can't believe all the filthy things she says in every episode. Her character Cheryl/Cherlene is into violent, kinky sex with anybody at anytime and is a total nympho. I can't help but laugh every time she says something fucked up because Judy never plays characters like this IRL, she's always getting the mom roles now but in animation, she can still let her freak flag fly. Cool

I had no idea it had that kind of staying power but then last week it was renewed for season 12!

It hasn't been disclosed yet other than that he was suffering from a long time illness when he died.

But let's be honest here, it's got to cancer as there is virtually no other cause of death for celebrities other than cancer.

Amazon Claims Prime Video Users Don't Legally Own Purchased Content
Amazon is arguing in court that their users don't actually "own" the digital content purchased on Amazon Prime Video. When one buys a movie or TV series to watch on the streaming service, what they're actually paying for is a "limited license" to view the video content. This means that while purchasers can watch the content indefinitely, Amazon has the right to remove them at any time "due to provider license restrictions or other reasons." Although largely unnoticed by most who sign up, this information is tucked into the Prime Video Terms of Use.

One person who did notice the fine print is Amanda Caudel, a woman who filed a lawsuit against Amazon in April for unfair competition and false advertising. According to the suit, Caudel claims that the company "secretly reserves the right" to remove access to content purchased by Amazon Prime Video users. The putative class-action lawsuit was filed on behalf of herself along with any other California residents who had purchased video content from Amazon between April 25, 2016, to now.

This week, Amazon responded by filing a motion for the court to dismiss Caudel's lawsuit. Along with noting that Caudel has purchased 13 titles on Prime since filing her complaint, attorney David Biderman argues that the lawsuit lacks merit as Amazon hasn't removed any of Caudel's purchased content, making the complaint purely hypothetical.

"Plaintiff claims that Defendant Amazon's Prime Video service, which allows consumers to purchase video content for streaming or download, misleads consumers because sometimes that video content might later become unavailable if a third-party rights' holder revokes or modifies Amazon's license," David Biderman writes in the motion. "The Complaint points vaguely to online commentary about this alleged potential harm but does not identify any Prime Video purchase unavailable to Plaintiff herself. In fact, all of the Prime Video content that Plaintiff has ever purchased remains available."

Biderman also stresses that people don't need to read the fine print in order to be legally bound by it. The terms of the agreement are right there for anyone to read before signing up or purchasing content, and the argument here is that it's up to the consumers to read it before agreeing to anything. "A merchant term of service agreement in an online consumer transaction is valid and enforceable when the consumer had reasonable notice of the terms of service," Biderman says.

What happens next will be up for the legal system to determine. Ultimately, Amazon might come out ahead in court, but the attention on the case will most likely cause many to realize they don't necessarily "own" the movies and TV shows they buy on Amazon Prime Video. Although purchasing content digitally can oftentimes be a lot more convenient, buying physical media appears to be the best way to ensure you'll always be able it. We'll see if this leads to more Blu-ray and DVD sales from Prime users as opposed to buying more digital content. This news comes to us from The Hollywood Reporter.

Yeah, that’s the deal with all digital “purchases”, at least streaming is more upfront about it. That’s why I still buy physical media.

It’s the same thing with video game services like Steam. You buy licenses which grant you access to the games. Valve (the owners of Steam) state in their terms of service, which you must agree to in order to use the service, that they can terminate your account whenever they want.

This is nothing new and that lady clearly has no idea what she is doing.

This is America and you can always find a parasitic lawyer willing to help you sue anybody for anything.

For example, right now I'm considering suing America because it makes me sad.

Johnny Depp is a wife beater.

Such is the finding of a British court, ruling against Depp’s claims of libel by The Sun newspaper. If nothing else proves how deeply Depp is divorced from reality, it’s that he ever brought this suit.

A former globally famous and beloved movie star, whose singular talent and looks made him a Gen X icon of cool and a one-man Disney franchise — who else could have straddled that line, let alone have invented it? — has lost everything. This is the biggest celebrity self-destruction since Lena Dunham showed photos of her removed uterus to a New York magazine profiler and wondered, without irony, why people find her an off-putting over-sharer.

Now, Depp will forever be known as not just a wife beater, but — due to the sheer volume of detail elicited at trial — a hopeless addict and alcoholic who used a tampon applicator to snort coke, who once sliced off part of his finger and used the bloody stump to scrawl hateful messages to then-wife Amber Heard, who pissed all over the floor in an attempt to write even more hateful words, a 50-something man unsure how he came to lose his entire $650 million fortune.

Oh, and the poop found in the Heard-Depp marital bed, ruled the judge, most likely came not from a vengeful Heard but one of the couple’s dogs.

A high court reduced to ruling on defecation.

Justice Andrew Nichol’s 129-page finding leaves no doubt that Depp is guilty. Here are Depp’s doctor’s notes, damning text exchanges in which Depp repeatedly apologizes to Heard for unspeakable acts, Depp’s admission of “the Monster” within, pathetic instances of childlike temper tantrums, humiliating blackouts on private planes and in luxury mansions.

“I simply do not accept,” Nichol wrote, “that [Depp] simply chose to sleep in the toilet.”

During a text exchange with actor Paul Bettany, Depp writes, “Let’s burn Amber!!! . . . Let’s drown her before we burn her!!! I will f—k her burnt corpse afterwards to make sure she’s dead.”

Has Depp not heard of the #MeToo movement? Is he unaware of what happened to Harvey Weinstein, Bill Cosby, Charlie Rose, Matt Lauer, Les Moonves — men who had nothing near his accrued goodwill? How could Depp not see he’d be left more uninsurable than Robert Downey Jr. at his lowest, banished for life from the Magic Kingdom?

Ah, here’s how: After Depp’s first consult with Dr. David Kipper in May 2014, Kipper wrote, “Mr. Depp is a 50-year-old male who has had a lifelong history of self-medicating behaviors involving multiple substances of abuse,” so dangerously addicted that “I would not recommend withdrawal until he completes his current work.”

Kipper’s later assessments: Depp “actually romanticizes the entire drug culture and has no accountability for his behavior . . . he has no patience for not getting his needs met.”

Kipper also recommended a medically supervised 24-hour detox.

It didn’t take. Nor, found the judge, did Depp’s multiple promises to never hurt Heard again.

It’s shocking to read Johnny Depp, who for decades presented himself as the most evolved and gentle rebel, a doting daddy who once loved nothing more than playing Barbies with his little girl, writing a text message calling Heard “this . . . mushy, pointless dangling overused flappy fish market.”

Johnny Depp talks about women the way Trump does. Who would have ever thought it?

This trial hasn’t just ended Johnny Depp. It ends any pretense that the public-facing image of any Hollywood star, no matter how beloved, should be taken to resemble the private one. It’s another terrible outcome of a terrible year, another loss, confronting Depp as he is, a late-stage Elvis surrounded by yes-men deputized to keep the boss drugged up and in denial.

It’s all such a drag — unless you’re Johnny Depp, transmitting from another planet. Moments after the ruling, his lawyers told the press “it would be ridiculous” for Depp not to appeal.

Who's ready for four more years of Dr Evil's retarded brother?

Both candidates are 80 year old out of touch, sexual assailants with severe mental health issues.

Whoever wins, we all lose.
