Great news everybody, The Wonder Years is getting rebooted but with a twist!!!

This new reboot hails from Lee Daniels and is "Set in the turbulent late 1960s — the same era as the original series but it will follow a Black, middle-class family in Montgomery, Alabama, as it makes sure these are the Wonder Years for them, too."

I remember Mary Kay LeTourneu as my childhood introduction to teacher sex scandals, before her I had no idea that was even a thing but after her, I never looked at my female teachers the same ever again.....

Shit! The AC condenser said "Fuck you, you're on your own." lol It's not sending cool air anymore and the temperature is not going down at all. I've done what I could, cleaned it and changed the filter. I'm guessing it might be low on coolant or something.

Naya Rivera from Glee fame rented a boat to go swimming in SoCal's Lake Piru with her four year old sun yesterday afternoon and never returned to the boat. Her son was found with his life jacket on sleeping in the boat and said "mommy jumped in but didn't come back up". Right now authorities are under the belief that she has drowned and they're now looking for recovery instead of rescue.

That is so sad and I feel sorry for the kid. It doesn't sound good. I assume she knew how to swim so, could it have been a shark attack or something?

Seoul's mayor was found dead today. Probably a suicide. The murder rate in Korea is actually pretty low but they are a dramatic bunch and prefer to go out with as much fanfare as possible.

It's never difficult for me to notice, the Adam's apple takes me all of two seconds to spot and if you ever hear em talk you can instantly tell within two syllables that they've had their hotdog turned into a bun.

Unrelated but the Washington Redskins are officially no more. They will have a new name and logo to be decided, the next time the team takes the field. Early indications are that The Navajo Nations is requesting the team be renamed the Code Talkers.

Damn, Grant Imahara of MythBusters has died at 49. I used to watch the show all the time and the whole crew seemed to have a lot of fun doing their experiments, sad to see he died so young.

Another star of Fox's Empire has been arrested. Last time Jussie Smollett made headlines for faking his hate crime attack and now his tv brother actor Bryshere Gray has been arrested for beating his wife for hours last night before choking her unconscious. He then refused to comply with police so it took SWAT and a negotiator to assist in the arrest.

Bryshere Gray didn't beat his wife. Two white cops broke into his place, beat his wife, and made him watch. Then they jumped out the window and ran off into the night leaving Bryshere Gray to take the blame.

Sucks to hear Grant Imahara died. He was the least douchiest person on the show. The guy with the beret and the walrus moustache just looked retarded. I understand that was his signature look for the show but that was a stupid signature look.

Is Jussie Smollett's career in acting over? Is there anyone who actually wants to work with him now?

Your theory behind what happened at Bryshere's is sound logic and should be spread across the twitter verse as truth.

There were no douche bags on Mythbusters, just eccentric geniuses but yes Jamie's beret and mustache were amusing.

In regards to Jussie, last I heard was he was awaiting trial. Though the brothers he hired to attack him are now unwilling to testify against him as over a year later, Chicago police have yet to return many items they seized from the brothers so now they don't feel like cooperating anymore.

LOL He didn't have a chance to begin with. After his announcement, I learned that the deadlines for ballots had already passed in some states. But at least we got a laugh out of it.

I've been checking out some of Netflix's foreign offerings lately.

Am I the alone here in insisting that I watch a series in its original language? I can't stand American dubbing of foreign shows, it always turns good shows into unwatchable trash.

Have you guys watched any of these?

Ragnarok (Norwegian)
The Protector (Turkish)
Dark (German)

Has anyone here seen Ghoul? It's a three-episode miniseries on Netflix and it is originally filmed in Hindi and has the option of an English dub.

So I was watching Ghoul and was not in the mood to read subtitles so I put on the English dub. I think the dub was done by the same performers but whoever did the dubbing had really heavy Indian accents. It was so bad I could not understand what they were saying and had to turn on the subtitles anyway. So I just changed the language back to Hindi.

By the way, Ghoul is pretty good. I watched it on Halloween a couple of years ago. Recommended.

I'm unfamiliar with Ghoul but I'll look into it though I've pretty much always been unable to handle Hindi for very long in the past and why I tend to rally against the constant Bollywood additions on Netflix.

After watching two seasons of The Protector in it's native Turkish I got curious and tried the English dub when starting season three and was so taken aback but how robotic it sounded, no emotion just so badly read English from a recording booth not reflecting any of the action or drama happening on screen. I couldn't even finish half a scene. It was atrocious dub work.

I find some languages very easy to listen to and others just sound overly complicated. Swedish tends to be the easiest for me to understand and the closest to English but German always sounds so angry and phlegmy.

However my hard dub rule does not extend to Anime, I feel completely opposite in that situation and only want to watch anime with an English dub. Though that's mostly because I prefer to enjoy the artwork in the scenes and it's difficult sometimes to catch every word while simultaneously trying to catch the artwork too.

Ghoul is fun. Three episodes of about 50 minutes each. Not sure why they made it a "series" when it could have easily been a long movie.

It was not what I expected at all and I like the story a lot. There's no singing or anything Bollywood about it. It's just straight up intense. The whole story is just really well done.

I don't want to overhype this but if you ever watch it, I think you'll like it.
