Do you plan on shopping there again for your dietary needs now that you can eat gluten foods or will you not purchase from them out of principle? Heh heh

70 pounds is huge. I can't imagine how it feels now on your joints. It must feel so good.

We should take this convo over to the random thread. Cool

The only cardio worth doing outside of a gym involves women. Twisted Evil

One of our CBMers, Desstroke, added a bit of colour to the Aquaman image director Zack Snyder posted late last night. Obviously it's just a rough idea of how Momoa could look as the character in Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice, but it's probably not too far off if you take the second image into account. That comes courtesy of graphic designer Elija VanDine, who messed with the levels in the original pic and got the most colour he could from it.

Yup, just as I'd expected. Aquaman is done being considered DC's bitch, he's coming to tear the house down.

He looks freaking awesome! Definitely going to change how we see Aquaman from now on. And well done on the added color. I wasn't sure what color his partial armor would be but it looks yellow in the original Snyder posted. I do like the orange better though.

By completely changing the look of the character. Though it's yet to be seen if this changes perception of the character.

Completely changing the look of the character, I think you might need to pay a bit more attention.

He's got the long hair and beard that we've seen time and again in more recent years when they tried to make that little bitch look more rugged. All they really did was change the fact that he no longer looks like a white GQ surf board model. It makes more sense to me that a Islander would be Aquaman, they worship water gods.

He's got his signature scales but with a much needed color change, neon orange kind of stands out when you move through the water, plus orange clothes are road crews not for superheros, copper works a lot better for me with that style of armor. You gotta be able to move quickly and considering the way Momoa fights, there's no way he could have worn anything that constricting.

Belt buckle? Awesome.

Trident? Fuck yeah!

Can't tell about the trunks though. It almost looks like they could be modeled after the Ptergus that Roman soldier's wore, you know, those leather skirts.

Let's be honest if there is any character that needs to have serious liberties taken if they ever want him to have any credibility this is what needs to be done. Otherwise you get the kind of bullshit Aquaman movie that James Cameron brought to Entourage.

So, from the get-go Arthur will know who he is and where he comes from? If he's got the Trident and his armor, I'm assuming he knows he's the heir to the throne and all that.

Also, in MOS, he was supposedly the one who saved Clark on that oil rig so.....I'm guessing he's already Aquaman by then.

I hope that at his age he knows who he is. I'd expect him to already be King by this point in the story. They could do his Origins in his first solo movie by cutting his hair and beard because Momoa has a baby face.

The oil rig explanation works perfectly because of how Clark was saved, Snyder clearly started planning this one a long time ago.

Momoa Talks AQUAMAN Poster Reveal, MAN OF STEEL Cameo, JUSTICE LEAGUE

Last night came and went without another Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice character poster reveal from director Zack Snyder, so it appears as if we won't see anything more from the movie for a while now. Regardless, when Entertainment Weekly recently caught up with Aquaman himself - Jason Momoa - the site quizzed the actor on that and his role in the DC Cinematic Universe as the King of the Seven Seas. There are lots of very interesting details in the highlights below, so check them out and the be sure to share your thoughts in the usual place. Bring on Justice League...

On His Reaction To The "Unite The Seven" Aquaman Poster Reveal:

That was a shocker for sure. It was supposed to be a surprise in 2016, so it definitely helps [our show]. I’ve been holding that secret for a long time. Zack Snyder called me up and said, “I’m posting this picture now.” He’s just a genius and I love him to death. He sent it over and we’re in the middle of the editing suite for the thing I’m doing right now, and we all freaked out, man. It was so amazing to see it come out.

On Whether He's Shot Any Action Scenes For Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice:

No, we haven’t done too much on the action yet. You know, Justice League is still quite a ways away. But I’m looking forward to it. Henry’s a sweetheart, Ben is a badass, so I’m really looking forward to when we all shoot Justice League.

On How Big His Batman v Superman Role Actually Is:

Well, it’s Batman and Superman, it’s not my movie. It’s the first time in history to have them both on the screen together, and I’m just excited to see those two up there.

On Wheher He Believes That Aquaman's Presence Was Felt In Man Of Steel:

Well, you know, I think that’s left for the genius of Snyder to kind of reveal that. There’s definitely a plan in this whole universe that he’s designing, and it’s amazing to be a part of it. I think everything that you see that is building, there’s a purpose behind the whole plan. So I wouldn’t want to take anything away from Zack, because he loves revealing all those things. And… you never know, man.

On How He Feels To Bring The Character To The Big Screen:

Oh, absolutely. The whole mythology of Aquaman is pretty amazing. There’s so many things to tell, and there’s a whole backstory that’s just amazing. There’s a lot of surprises coming. I think, yeah, he’s been cast aside. But, um [laughs] times are going to change now, buddy. Conan was really hard, because you have 15 different types of fans and so many things to respect and honor. To do it right it’s got to be bloody-bloody-bloody-bloody-bloody, and not a lot of people go see that anymore. It’s not the ’80s anymore. It’s a really hard format. We busted ass, but there were a lot of cooks in the kitchen on that one. What’s great about this is Zack, man. We don’t want to just reinvent it, but he’s a got a whole idea of what Aquaman should be and I’m really honored to be playing it. I’m excited for the world to see it.

On Whether He Can Still Fit The Red Road Around His DC Schedule:

I would love to. What’s great about it is we shoot six episodes in less than two months; it can totally fit in there. I would love to do two more seasons. Kopus is an amazing character to play. I’m going to direct my own stuff, work on Red Road, and obviously, I’m excited about kicking some ass on the DC Films. It’s fun to be able to dress up and go play a superhero. It’s a pretty choice job. And to be able to honor my native culture is another badass thing. I’m definitely living the dream right now.

It's not like he was commanding it, I think they just did it to show a basic storm. It was something someone whipped up in the first few hours of the release. I just liked it cause it shows his suit from another angle, makes me wonder where they got the image and why it was released so fast.

What's coming tomorrow? Something, according to Suicide Squad director David Ayer. It could be anything in all honesty, with an official logo and cast list in the form of a press release most likely. However, with Jared Leto confirming that he's touched down in Toronto, could he be about to get a shave and a haircut to be transformed into The Joker? That would certainly be a good way to get people talking anyway! Shooting is expected to begin in the Canadian city next month, so they must be right in the middle of costume fittings and the like right now. What are your theories?

It's really whenever Snyder feels like letting them. Momoa said he was told they wouldn't release anything showing him until 2016 so he was blown away when Snyder just decided to release it online. That's what happened with the batmobile pics too, some papparazzi snapped shitty grainy images from far away so Snyder dropped an official still the next day.

There are major rumblings that Chris Pine is about to sign the contract for Hal Jordan in the Justice League. If I remember correctly Pine was the other choice for the original movie they destroyed with Ryan Reynolds presence and it's sheer awfulness. Pine dodged a major bullet once but could he possibly resurrect the character now? I'm actually surprised they are sticking with Hal. I was sure they'd take the John Stewart route for a reboot.

Wow! Same here. If they are in fact going with Hal then Pine would be perfect for it. Based on other roles I've seen him in, he's more than capable of playing Hal. I've seen his name being thrown for the character before and he's not only a good choice but he looks like Hal too. This is interesting!

He's actually been the only name I've seen thrown around that I don't hate. While I still think they should go with John Stewart, if they must bring back Hal, then I'd be ok with Pine.

Momoa, continuing to prove why my faith in his badassery is warranted. Hey Abe, Momoa hates you!

Earlier today, Jason Momoa made an appearance at the Indiana Comic Con and was approached by fan Liz Guadiana to sign her Aquaman poster.

“Hey guys, remember that poster I got? I had it signed at Indy Comic today by Jason Mamoa. I asked Jason, ‘Can you write down a reason why all these DC haters out there should join our DC universe.’”

Momoa's response was classic:

“F**k Marvel!”

Did you forget that Marvel chose Boretista over him for Guardians? Finally something Marvel got right! Cause he landed a way better character with DC.

Well, can you blame them? Looking back now, he wouldn't have been a very good fit for the character anyway. Aquaman is more up his alley.

You're right unlike Boretista, Momoa actually has talent and screen presence so he would not have been a good fit for a character like Drax. Boretista was why I couldn't even finish Guardians I just despise the guy as an actor, he can't even work a WWE mic.

His Drax was painful to watch. I finished the movie, but it was a tough task.

That's cause Boretista is the worst with zero charisma, just a pile of boring roid induced bullshit. If they had cast anybody else, I probably would have been able to get more than 45 minutes into the movie. I would have preferred an actual piece of driftwood to him in that role. Driftwood has the same talent and charisma as Boretista only it works a lot cheaper.

I had such low expectation of the character that I wasn't bothered by his performance or the character Drax. The other characters made up for it for me. But Mamoa wouldn't have worked for Drax too because I've never seen him do characters with humor before.

I always have zero expectations when I see Marvel in the title. Cool

You think Momoa isn't funny because you've never seen him be funny? Oh you silly bastard... Cool

BLACK ADAM Might Show Up In JUSTICE LEAGUE
Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice ($873,260,194) - Page 2 Mvlbli10

Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson is currently on the press tour for Universal's Furious 7, and while he's primarily answering questions about the upcoming action sequel, the good folks over at IGN managed to slip him a quick query about his upcoming role as Black Adam and whether or not he could potentially show up and/or join the Justice League.

IGN: We are so excited to see Black Adam as this anti-hero imagining there's going to be this antagonistic relationship with Shazam, but I'm wondering, are you interested in exploring his heroic side down the line. Do you think that he could eventually join the Justice League?

Dwyane 'The Rock' Johnson: I think so, and I think you always want to leave that creatively open, that he could join the Justice League and I think... that's the fun part of creating this character right now and everybody involved, from the studio, from New Line, to Warner Bros as well, to the writer, our producing partners. You want to... you definitely want to engage in his heroic side, but that has to be earned and with the mythology of Black Adam starting off as a slave, because when you start off as a slave, just inherently, there's things in your DNA that piss you off. And that's the bottomline, so I think we have to respect and pay homage to the true mythology and then the heroic side will come down the line, but I think it's important and we all feel it's important and I believe the fans at IGN feel it's important to make sure the homage is paid at the beginning because then you have a stronger foundation to stand on, and so he will become an anti-hero, but at first... daddy's got to go to work.

Now, let's recap a bit, Shazam! is expected to hit theaters April 5, 2019, so the earliest we would theoretically see Johnson suited up as Black Adam would be sometime in 2018 when the film kicks off production. However, if he debuted as one of the villains, presuming that there are multiple villains, in Zack Snyder's Justice League: Part One, which is set to arrive November 17, 2017, we could see him as the character as early as next year when that film begins production. This could potentially mean a showdown between him and Henry Cavill's Superman might happen sooner than later.

If none of the above comes to fruition, Shazam! does arrive two months before Justice League: Part Two, which releases June 14, 2019, so if he doesn't appear in the first part, there is always a good chance he could appear in the second.
