Sweet deal for $1,100. I would definitely go with the 256GB storage. 128 is just too small for one drive. If you had 128 flash for the OS and a separate drive for your porn then 128 would be good. Get the 256.

The actual usable space in a 128 gigabyte drive when formatted is about 118 gigabytes. A clean install of MacOS without any extra bloatware (if there is any to begin with), you're looking at maybe 70 gigabytes of space you can actually use after taking into consideration keeping maybe 20 gigabytes free for operating system functions and updates. 70 gigabytes is really small. That's maybe 40 or 50 YIFYs or a decent amount of porn.

Now, if you're like Abe who prefers his porn in 4K, that will mean far less available space as 4K videos take up a lot more.

I definitely recommend the 256 to start with. As I understand, Macbooks are upgradeable so you can always drop in a terabyte SSD on the cheap. That is, SSD prices are certainly dropping fast.

I don't really store any of my files on my computer, all music, movies and photos are already kept on a TB external I've been using for the last few years. I also have several 128GB thumb drives but sadly none are for porn storage.

I'm having a hard time justifying to myself why I should pay $1300 for a computer that still requires me to upgrade the hard drive and buy an external disc drive too. Don't get me wrong, I get that Mac's are great and all but I can't say that I'm too happy with all the extra shit I'd need to buy on top of it when I've been getting by just fine with my $500 HP Slim that came with a 1TB hard drive. I'm really good when it comes to budgeting my money which is why I always have plenty of it but right now I just keep feeling like it's more of an extravagance than I really need at this time and would pretty much eat up a big chunk of my tech budget right out of the gate, so I might keep waiting until Apple is willing to sell a complete computer for less than three times what I usually pay.

I feel the same way about Apple. They have brilliant marketing, though, and diehard fans who will buy everything made by them even if it’s just generation 2 with minor upgrades.

Last Black Friday, I purchased a Dell 5570 15” laptop for $418. The hard drive it came with was such abpiece of shit. As soon as I got the laptop I wiped it and did a clean install of Windows 10. Even after Windows booted into a usable state, the hard drive would spin furiously for about eight minutes. Not to mention it took about two minutes to even get to a usable state.

I cracked that bitch open and put in a 128GB NVMe drive which cost me about $25. Now, my laptop boots up in about 20 seconds and then loads all my programs im another ten seconds. Total boot time is now about 30 seconds from when I push the power button. The 1TB drive which came with it has been given the duty of holding all my music, movies, and porn.

My laptop came with a DVD writer, too. But it ain’t no Apple.

Disc drives aren’t the norm for laptops anymore, unfortunately. Everything is about being slim and light and about downloads anyway with media and software. I disagree with it, but I get it.

You can definitely get a much cheaper laptop than Mac. I just don’t like dealing with Windows anymore. Mac updates don’t force themselves on you and they’re usually cool. Windows choosers to update whenever it feels like it and usually messes with something.

My HP has a 21" screen and I don't know how I'd feel about downgrading to a 13" while paying three times as much too but I also wouldn't want a 25 lb, two foot wide laptop either. Maybe I should jreconsider the iMac since it's basically the same price on the same system and then I can get a more affordable laptop later. I know I'd still need to buy an external drive but considering the big price difference that might not be too bad.

Then again, I have so many other options. What to do, what to do.....

Do you think any other laptops are even comparable to iMac or is the software just so different that there's Apple and then there's everybody else?

My last Brother toner printer I bought had a CD install required and I couldn't install it because my CD drive broke in my HP and I don't think there was a download available for it. I rarely use physical media these days but I still would prefer to have the option for the rare occasions that I do.

Hardware wise it’s easy to get something comparable, but then your options are Windows or Linux if it’s still around and I’ve made my feelings on Windows clear and don’t know much about Linux

I actually really like Windows 10. I'm using my laptop now and it has Windows 10 Home. I have had zero problems with it so far and it is smoov as buttuh.

When I upgrade my PC, I plan on purchasing, for the first time ever, a legit Windows 10 key. I am debating whether I should get Home or Pro. I really like the BitLocker function of Pro to protect my sensitive shit. Also, Windows 10 is supposed to be the final version of Windows. That is, there will be no Windows 11 or whatever. They will roll out updates semi-yearly.

Windows 10 is good shit.

It took me a while to get used to Windows 10 after being on 7 for so long. I am pretty impressed with 10 so far. I don’t like the BS software included like Candy Crush and Xbox applications but the reat of it is aiight. I definitely prefer 7 but 10 is growing on me.

Vince McMahon’s XFL Lands Huge Broadcast Deal With ESPN & Fox Sports

Vince McMahon and the XFL have struck gold in the form of a brand new television deal with both ESPN and Fox Sports.

The upcoming alternative football league announced Monday afternoon that the 2020 debut season will see four games broadcast each week, with two on Saturday and two on Sunday. Games will air on ABC, FOX, ESPN, ESPN2, FS1 and FS2.

As noted, the XFL will kick off on Saturday, Feb. 8th just one week after the NFL wraps up the 2019-2020 season with Super Bowl LIV in Miami, FL.

So Windows 10 Home went on sale on Amarzon for $108. I finally bit the bullet and purchased the damn this. Total price after tax was $118. This is the first time I ever spent money on a legit license of Windows. Seeing as this is the final Windows version (at least for the near future, as Microsoft said this is the "final" version of Windows), I decided to just get it. I do not trust any copies of Windows floating around the internet with crack activations. With identity theft being a real concern these days, I do not want to take a chance with that as you never know what they put into the crack (keyloggers, malware, etc.).

Anyways, with Wylde in the market for a laptop, it was nice to see Windows 10 Home hit a low price as we were just talking about it.

Now I just need to spend about $900 to upgrade my PC. Hooray.

I will protest for her cause by going on a hunger strike between meals. Between dinner tonight and breakfast tomorrow I will protest in solidarity of her movement.

I will admit this might be a little tough for me because I’m having dinner around 7pm and actually having a late breakfast, early lunch tomorrow with my mom and brudda at around 11.
