Not on my work vehicle, but it is 20 years old, and in a different country
I do know a lot of newish vehicles have a little arrow under or next to the fuel gauge that points to the side the filler cap is on.

Yup, the arrow is very common too.
People really need to have their hand held for everything these days.....

I want to build something like this for my home theater but I have zero skills. Mine is only one step of 2x4s though so about 3 inches of the ground. Wylde, you could probably do mine with your eyes closed. lol

If you can use a tape measure, a miter saw and a circular saw then you can build anything.

That looks like a really fun project, UM. Should be a nice sense of accomplishment when you finish it.
I missed this question Wylde asked earlier in the thread:
I can see stars in the suburbs of NYC and also now in Long Island. The problem isn't so much the smog but the bright city lights. The lights are so bright it masks the stars.
When I go upstate, the skies are so full of stars I feel silly when I just bring out a chair and stare upward for hours. Sadly, not seeing as much beauty in the night sky here in the city has become normal that I don't even think about it anymore.
As you say, us city slickers sometimes lose sight of the beauty outside of our concrete jungles. It's kind of sad. People here are more concerned with competing with friends about who is more miserable at work. "You worked 12 hours? That's nothing. I've been working 16 a day, 7 days a week for month."

I was recently talking with someone who mentioned that it'd been years since they'd seen the stars in the sky at night and I realized that I see them every single night and I can't even recall one night where I didn't. Is this something that you just accept like not seeing the night sky is perfectly acceptable to you cause to me, it's kind of mind blowing.....

Re: Random Thoughts
This hit Netflix today and as soon as I started the trailer all I could think of was that this looked like an inferior version of Michael Keaton's 90's classic Multiplicity. I usually like Rudd's work but this looks like a bad remake by a different title.

Saw the trailer a couple of weeks back. Now that you mention it, it does remind me of Multiplicity. Shockingly, I have watched that movie on TV once. lol

Now that I think about it, Abe has seen Batman and Batman Returns. If he's also seen Beetlejuice, I might have to believe that Michael Keaton is in fact a man of actual magical powers and has somehow managed to get Abe to watch several movies made from before his own birth.

When my town opened its one and only movie theater in December '98, Jack Frost was the very first movie I ever saw there. It was also the one and only time that I saw Jack Frost.

I’m blown away that Abe knows what a cassette is.
I didn’t realize Living With Yourself is a series, I was thinking it was a movie. I’m halfway through and so far not seeing why it couldn’t be a movie

I know what you mean, you think after years of daily chats that you know a person. Turns out, Abe is this whole other dude, a dude that we don't even know.
What if he's been Hollywood's inside man this whole time?!?!?!?

Just saw that Jennifer Lawrence is marrying some art gallery douche called Cooke Maroney today after apparently meeting him just a few WEEKS ago.
Why do rich parents always give their kids the WORST names? What is it about money that also makes you incapable of giving you child a normal name?
Either way, how can a marriage not work out after you've been banging for several weeks? By that point, you know everything you need to know you're making a wise decision.

I saw Chris Cornell trending on twitter which I found strange because you know he's dead but it turns out Rolling Stone has released their list of the top 100 singers of all-time and Cornell didn't make the list. But neither did Tom Petty or Eric Clapton. What are your thoughts? All I know is this sure as fuck ain't my list.
This list just seems like it was built off a Motown roster list to me.

Have you ever seen The Last Witch Hunter with Vin Diesel? The movie isn’t horrible and the sound is fantastic. Loud and low.
I’ll watch this new one sight unseen. His films outside of Fast and Furious are entertaining enough.

I did not see the Last Witch Hunter, though I remember the trailer....
The only Vin Diesel movies I enjoy are in the Riddick franchise. They're so bad and yet I enjoyed them all.

Re: Random Thoughts
So many great actors and actresses involved in this but no Uma?
Quentin Tarantino is the most influential filmmaker of the past 30 years. His bloody, talky, nonlinear films pull together dozens of influences to form bracingly original cinematic events. In a Hollywood that worships at the altar of franchises and remakes, Tarantino’s films are the best kind of tentpoles – wholly unique cinematic visions from a filmmaker at the peak of his powers.
As Tarantino’s newest film Once Upon a Time in Hollywood arrives to praise and controversy, filmmaker Tara Wood takes us on a journey through the first 8 wildly divergent films that Tarantino has helmed, narrated by the actors and collaborators who have worked with him.
From Reservoir Dogs through The Hateful Eight, from the video store to the fall of Harvey Weinstein, QT8 digs deep into the story of the most important and controversial filmmaker of our time.

Clapping banned at Oxford University to stop people being triggered
Students at the University of Oxford have voted to ‘replace clapping’ with a silent wave because it ‘could trigger anxiety’. They are instead being told to use ‘jazz hands’, where they wave their hands in the air. The motion to ‘mandate the encouragement of silent clapping’ was successfully passed by the university’s student union officers, following their first meeting of the year on Tuesday. It will come apply at student union events, and if successful, rolled out to other societies and events. Oxford students had argued that alternatives to clapping already existed in some organisations and institutions and that they should follow suit. It comes after the University of Manchester passed a similar motion in September last year.
Jazz hands is the British Sign Language expression for applause and is considered a more inclusive gesture. Sabbatical Officers Roisin McCallion said: ‘The policy was proposed in order to encourage the use of British Sign Language clapping during our democratic events, to make those events more accessible and inclusive for all, including people who suffer from anxiety. ‘Inclusivity is one of the Students’ Union’s founding principles.’

WHAT THE FUUUUUUUUCK?!!!
Look, I don't like public speaking like giving presentations and stuff but if the audience is silent and giving me jazz hands after a presentation, I think it would give me more anxiety.

Justice has been served.
Felicity Huffman has been released from a federal prison in Dublin, CA, three days short of a 14-day sentence for her role in the college bribery scheme, a prison spokesperson confirmed to Deadline.
Huffman was released early Friday morning. She began her 14-day sentence at the Federal Correctional Institution in Dublin on Oct. 15, but was released early as is normal prison policy for inmates who are set to be released on weekends.
The Desperate Housewives actor also is ordered to serve a year’s probation, perform 250 hours of community service and pay a $30,000 fine.
Having plead guilty to one count of conspiracy to commit mail fraud and honest services mail fraud back in May, Huffman was the first to be sentenced among the more than 30 parents indicted in the nationwide effort of wealthy families to get their children into top schools using underhanded methods.

Jane Fonda and Ted Danson Arrested At Climate Protest
Jane Fonda was arrested at the Capitol for the third consecutive Friday today as she continued her protest demanding that Congress take action on climate change.
This time, Ted Danson, 71, joined the 81-year-old actress in the demonstration and he too was arrested by Capitol Police.“Get in motion, save the ocean,” Fonda, Danson and other demonstrators shouted as they made a short march on the Capitol grounds. The events are being called “Fire Drill Fridays,” and have ended in acts of civil disobedience. The demonstrators blocked First Street near the intersection of East Capitol Street, which is between the Capitol and the Library of Congress and the Supreme Court. The location was near the same spot where they blocked the street last week.
After their previous arrests, the demonstrators have been taken to a separate location and processed and released. They are being charged with crowding, obstructing or incommoding, which are misdemeanors.Fonda said that she has moved to Washington through the end of the year to take part in the weekly demonstrations, but will have to leave in January to resume production on Netflix’s Grace and Frankie.
“The fossil fuel industry wants us to believe it’s our fault,” Fonda told demonstrators at a rally beforehand. “Bulls–t.”
