Overlord ($42 Million Worldwide Box Office)
"On the eve of D-Day, paratroopers drop behind enemy lines to carry out a crucial mission for the invasion. As they approach their target, they soon begin to realize there's more going on in the Nazi-occupied village than a simple military operation.
The film is directed by Julius Avery (Son of a Gun), from a screenplay by Billy Ray (Captain Phillips) and Mark L. Smith (The Revenant).
Overlord stars Jovan Adepo, Jacob Anderson, Iain De Caestecker, John Magaro, Wyatt Russell, and Bokeem Woodbine, and is set to debut October 26th.

When I saw the name Russel in the thread title, I thought it was Kurt Russel. I am a little bit disappointed it is not. I have never heard of these people before. Maybe I’ve seen them before, though.

Wyatt Russell is Kurt Russell's son. Whilst not his dad, definitely holds his own.
Bokeem Woodbine you will recognise from something. I last remember him in the 2nd season of Fargo. He's been around for a while.

I have been a lifelong Kurt fan but am also a big Wyatt fan and just like with his father's career, I've seen every movie he's put out so far and he's quickly building quite the resume. Sorry you're disappointed it wasn't old man river Russell but his son will be taking the Russell mantle now.
Joey! Bokeem is from Dead Presidents!

Ah, yes, I recognize Bokeem Woodbine. I remember him being in a movie where he played a porn star or something.
I have not seen Dead Presidents. Not sure I have heard of that one before. Will cheggitout!
Still, I love a good zombie movie so I'm in.

No way?!?! You don't know the Dead Pres??? I was positive that like me, you'd seen it countless times as a teen.
Joey, you have to know Bokeem from lots of other movies. He was in such classics as The Rock, Freeway, The Big Hit and 3000 Miles to Graceland. I've seen him play lots of criminals and a few pimps but I can't recall any porn stars but I could easily be mistaken.

There is another horror movie called Trench 11. This one takes place during World War 1 and, again, it is the Germans who are doing nefarious experiments.
Just once, I would like to see the Americans as the bad guys doing crazy experiments and the Germans are the ones who have to stop them. I think that would be a cool change of pace.

Just watched this with my brudda. I am not going to say anything about this movie except:
It was not exactly what I was expecting but I give this a highly recommended. Fun movie. Yes.

Did Wyatt have much to do in this movie or is another glorified cameo role for him?

He is one of the main guys. He's in this whole thing and not just a cameo.
I told one of my pals Overlord is a nice romantic comedy set with a backdrop of World War 2 told from the perspective of some American soldiers. I told her it's pretty good and she has agreed to check it out if I go with. Yay.

Good to know, I watched Shimmer Lake last week on Netflix cause I thought it was his movie but it was all Rain Wilson and Wyatt was in maybe 3-4 minutes total.
You dog.......HAHAHAHAHA. Wait, she thinks a film called Overlord is a romantic comedy? Does this lady friend have a hidden kinky side, you might want to investigate.

I watched this and it was really good. The opening of the movie is amazing! The cast is great and there is a new french actress in this movie that did a great job as well, she's beautiful. She reminds me of Léa Seydoux. I thought this was a zombie movie but it's really not, it's something else mixed with a supernatural element to it.

Finally watched this today. It was good but I think I was overhyped for it. I actually thought Russell was disappointing for a lot of it, found myself comparing him to his father unfavorably. He has the inherent likability, but not the gravitas.

He usually plays very laid back stoner types so I don't know if he's really been pushed but I do understand what you mean, his father has a real intensity but even Kurt had to grow into that.
