Van Helsing's first three seasons are already on Netflix while it's fourth season is ending later this month. While I'm not always happy with the direction of the show's storylines, I can appreciate that VH is the only vamper series I can recall that makes carnage a priority over romance.

Meanwhile V Wars just got even sillier as it went on and in the final episode they went full True Blood and introduced a synthetic blood drink called BloodSub. Razz

I thought Ian was a vamp himself in the show? I might check it out when I'm bored.

Nope, I told you he was the Elena of the series. But he's maybe immune as well. I don't know, they weren't clear on a lot of things and it became ridiculous. The vampers actually call themselves "Bloods" and they're infected by airborne pathogens from an ancient virus discovered in a melted ice cap. They gather together and form Blood Nation and start advocating for vamper rights before inevitably turning into a terrorist organization. What I enjoyed most was how in episode one Ian plays a doctor scientist who works in a lab and by the end of episode 10 he's now a soldier working out shirtless and carrying an M16. It's so bad..... Razz

GOD DAMNED ABE STRIKES AGAIN!!! Just last week I was telling you folks how excited I was to find Reno 911 on my comedy central add on and just days later brings this news. I cannot believe the power that Abe wields in Hollywood to continuously bring so many of our hopes to fruition.

Reno 911! Cops a Season 7 Revival on Upcoming Quibi Mobile Platform
Random Thoughts - Page 21 Reno-910
More than a decade after it wrapped its six-season run, Reno 911! has been revived by Quibi, the upcoming mobile platform.

Robert Ben Garant, Kerri Kenney-Silver and Thomas Lennon, who created the comedy for Comedy Central back in the day, are all on board to write and star in Season 7, with additional casting to be announced at a later date.

Reno 911! invited viewers to ride shotgun with the courageous men and women of the Reno Sheriff’s Department as they lay down the law and put their lives on the line.

“Reno 911! holds a special place in our hearts, and it will be a delight to get the original cast back together for ‘re-boot goofin,’” Lennon said in a statement. “Hopefully Nick Swardson can still roller skate.”

Comedy Central original content chiefs Sarah Babineau and Jonas Larsen in turn said, “Fans demanded this for a long time and Comedy Central Productions and Quibi are thrilled to help answer that kind of 911 call,” while Quibi exec Doug Herzog added, “I couldn’t say it better than Sarah and Jonas, and I for one will sleep soundly knowing Reno 911! is back on the beat keeping our streets safe once again.”

Quibi — which is short for “quick bites” — is described as a “mobile-first media technology platform bringing together the best of Silicon Valley and Hollywood,” and “the first entertainment platform built for easy, on-the-go mobile viewing, allowing today’s leading studios and creative talent to tell original stories in an entirely new way.”

Did you actually watch the whole series or did you skip to the final episode? Or did you do what I did with Prison Break and watch four episodes in one hour?

I went full Joey on that bitch like it was Prison Break. But no matter how many scenes I skipped, the next ones were never interesting either. It started out very interesting and turned into utter shit in the span of one episode.

I don't see how Wendy McLendon Lovey would have the time as she shoots 22 episodes of The Goldbergs every year. Cedric Yarbrough has also dropped by Goldbergs now and again time but I haven't seen much of the rest of the cast since Reno ended so they're probably mostly free.

In a totally unrelated note, it looks like we might see Ace Ventura 3 and The Mask 2, as Jim Carrey is now being pursued by the studios for sequels to his much earlier movies.

It's also rumored that Transformers is headed for a hard reboot.

Is anybody else working on a list of their favorite movies of the decade as the last month of it nears to an end? My list starts in 2010 and I'll be posting it soon.

Here is an 8TB Seagate external hard drive for $125 after coupon code EMCUVTC32

The reviews are not so great but I know Wylde prefers Seagates so I thought this might be good to consider. This hard drive was $120 on Thanksgiving/Black Friday.

Finally, here is the link to the same drive on Amarzon for $129 which might be good if you have Prime as this drive on Newegg does not qualify for Shoprunner.

Better reviews on Amarzon, I think. 28% 1-star reviews on Newegg with 16% 1-star reviews on Amarzon.

Holy shit, an 8GB?!?! I hadn't even looked past 5GB yet and that's a killer price. I've never used NewEgg but that Prime link is perfect for me.

Thanks a lot buddy. Cool

So my copy of Overlord arrived and I have some fantastic news.

It came with a slip! Although, the slip is not mint. It was shipped along with a weefee router without any padding. Two of the corners are a little dented. Ugh

That Ghostbusters trailer makes me want a proton pack.

I can't believe I'm asking this but it's always such a debate online around this time of year but we are all in agreement that Die Hard and Die Hard 2 are Christmas movies right?

Speaking of which, what are your must watch Holiday favorites this time of year? For me it's; Bad Santa, Gremlins, Home Alone and The Grinch. I am debating watching Elf with Will Ferrell for the first time since it came out but I don't even remember it, thoughts?

Also, I watched Venom for the first time today and I'm still angry about what a giant pile of shit that was... Evil or Very Mad

But all five seasons of Miami Vice are on this Starz add on!?!?!? OH SHIT!!!! No longer angry. Twisted Evil Twisted Evil Twisted Evil Twisted Evil Twisted Evil Cool

Also included; The Addams Family and Values, Bad News Bears (1976), Fast Times at Ridgemont High, Big Lebowski, Smokin Aces, One Crazy Summer, Back to the Future I-III, Out of the Furnace, The Other Guys, Wolfman, Bill and Ted, White Boy Rick, Half Baked, Up in Smoke, Scarface, Casino, Reservoir Dogs, Sicario Soldado, Desperado, Smokey and the Bandit, Summer Rental, the Great Outdoors, Uncle Buck, Harry and the Hendersons and a fuck ton of other movies from my youth....FOR ONE DOLLAR THIS MONTH! Shocked Shocked Shocked

I have always enjoyed Jingle All the Way, Home Alone, and Die Hard. Also, if A Christmas Carol is on, I will definitely watch it. My favorite is with Alastair Sim. The one with Patrick Stewart is so terrible it is good. "Therefore.... therefore.... I am going to raise your salary. HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!"

I watched the Honest Trailers for Jingle all the Way, Santa Clause and Home Alone last night, those were both great and hilariously accurate.

Not to hate on Luke Wilson, he's earned an eternal spot in my heart for the masterpiece that is Idiocracy but what's the guy really got going on? I hadn't seen him in a few years since the failed and very shortly lived showtime series Roadies but before that I think it was 3:10 to Yuma like a decade ago. His career just fell the fuck off and he ain't doin much. I think Zombieland 2 is his biggest movie since the mid-2000s and he's just a minor character in it right?

UltimateMarvel wrote:Home Alone for me.

My favorite childhood movie about a future serial killer as he psychopathically tortures non-violent bumbling criminals as he takes out his rage of having such shit bag parents.

UltimateMarvel wrote:Huge pile of shit! It doesn't deserve the money it made. Hardy was not the right choice for Eddy.

I really should have just stuck with this, it told me everything I needed to know and would have saved me 90 minutes.[/quote]

For about twenty years A Christmas Story was a staple in my house but eventually those TNT 24 Hours of of A Christmas Story marathons wore it down for me. Also, seeing that Ralphie grew up to be an Iron Man employee/turned traitor kinda of tainted the childhood innocence of it for me. Razz

My dad loved it because it reminded him so much of his childhood so it was always on at Christmas time during mine. It's not a very good movie, nor does it hold up particularly well but to the older generation it's up their with that god awful snoozefest, It's a Wonderful Life. But I just gotta say it, Fuck Jimmy Stewart.....

Is that why??!?! I hate that sack of shit and yet every single Christmas there is the inevitable movie or tv show that feels it absolutely necessary to still mention in today's age and it's bullshit "every time a bell rings" quote that makes me want to grab a fucking hammer! I HATE IT I HATE IT I HATE IT!!!!

Movies that are considered Christmas classics just because they've been played endlessly for decades and decades does not make them good. I love lots of old movies but plenty of others are just dumpster fires.

To be fair though, I also fucking despise actual Christmas music and prefer the festive sounds of Rob Zombie's Hellbilly Deluxe.

I do however enjoy Christmas Vacation but it's not one I watch every year, I can revisit that one only about every five or ten years.

I forgot about A Christmas Story. I watch that whenever I can but since I'm so cool and got rid of my cable, I no longer have TNT or TBS and will miss out on the marathon this year (as I did last year).

But, that aside, I do have some good news but overshadowed by terrible news. Good news: my 2-movie collection of The Addams Family has arrived. Bad news: it was shipped in a bubble mailer and the slip is not mint. All four corners have visible blemishes. How can I enjoy mint blu-ray discs when the slip is damaged? Argh I just want to burn this shit. Wednesday would appreciate the burning. Damn you, Amarzon employees!

Just wait until you accidentally proclaim you're going to "bread now". Razz Razz Razz

I'd always assumed it was your turn of phrase. I haven't watched Simpsons in a decade or so but from time to time I still fondly recall "Me fail English, that's unpossible" and "that's where I saw the leprechaun, he tells me to burn things". But I can't recall any one word turns like Bread.

Are you still a viewer of the series? I've been toying with the idea now that it's all on Disney +.

Actually, I do this too....I'd just forgotten where I got it from because I've been saying it for sooo long. LOL. Thanks for the refresher!

I'm so pumped, The Expanse finally lives again as tomorrow season 4 drops on Amazon 18 months after SyFy cancelled it. I get to binge the new season for the first time ever as I was never able to wait and only ever watched week to week which I always found unbelievably frustrating and yet I couldn't help myself. This will also be the first season of the show I go into already knowing that another season will be coming next year too so I can just kick back and enjoy the ride.

Sometimes I like to ask my passenger "Dude where's my car?" knowing full well where I parked, just to see if anybody still gets the reference...

I loved that movie back in the day, saw it in theaters. I had the VHS, I want to say it was blue. Now I have the blu-ray.
