I will admit this might be a little tough for me because I’m having dinner around 7pm and actually having a late breakfast, early lunch tomorrow with my mom and brudda at around 11. Cool peeps call it “brunch”. What have I gotten myself into? I will stick to my principles no matter how difficult this will be for me!
WOAH Dude! You shouldn't starve yourself like that. But if you do, then remember the most important rule of society today.....Unless you're tweeting every hour about how you're suffering for the cause, than it just doesn't count.

When is she going to go back to acting? I prefer her that way. Sex Strike? Why do women act like it's only men that want to have sex every day.
I was just reading on this new bill and I gotta say, I support it. If there is a heartbeat then it's kinda too late, isn't it?

Re: Random Thoughts
What the hell? A THREE SEASON renewal at NBC?!?!?! I thought it was pretty crazy when they renewed this show for two seasons the last time.
NBC has given a mega-three-season renewal to its flagship drama series This Is Us, taking it through a sixth season. While not unprecedented, the size of the order is very rare and only reserved for the biggest hits on television. CBS’ The Big Bang Theory most recently received a three-season pickup in 2014. Like the first three seasons, the next three will consist of 18 episodes each.
Asked during the NBC upfronts press call Sunday whether This Is Us would end with Season 6, NBC co-chairman Paul Telegdy said, “We’re keeping it open for now. Creator Dan Fogelman has a plan for the show, for now it’s being picked up for three more seasons.”

Oh wow, I totally missed that post originally. This was all new to me and I still can't wrap my head around it. I used to play with my Batman and TMNT toys all the time in the early 90s but I never had them fight. I wonder if this was bad booking on my part or just brilliant foresight...

I don't understand the love for this show. 3 season renewal is ridiculous but it makes sense for NBC, it's probably they're biggest show ratings-wise.

I heard about this a while back. I don't like the idea of this. It's just 2 completely different universes with different tones and it just doesn't blend well together...........but that's not going to stop them from trying. LOL

Yes, I did since you guys made a big deal about it.
I need some advice on plumbing stuff. The main water supply valve is leaking and it's very old so I'm trying to change it to the newer ball valve. Right now it's got 1/2" pipe but someone told me it should be 3/4" if it's coming off the supply. Is that true? Wondering if I should change it to 3/4" if that's the case.

Re: Random Thoughts
WHAT IS HAPPENING!??!?!?!?!?!
Nasim Pedrad is heading back to high school… as a 14-year-old boy.
TBS has handed a series order to Chad, a 10-episode comedy starring the Saturday Night Live alumna as a Persian boy trying to fit in while reconciling his cultural identity.
In addition to her on-camera role, Pedrad is creator, writer, executive producer and co-showrunner, alongside Hayes Davenport (Vice Principals). Additional EPs include Oly Obst (The Mick) and Rob Rosell (It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia).
If Chad sounds familiar, that’s because it’s been in development for quite some time. It made it to the pilot stage at Fox in 2016 but was ultimately passed over. Three years later, TBS has reshot the pilot and given Pedrad the official greenlight. A premiere date has not yet been announced.
Since departing SNL in 2014, Pedrad has starred in TBS’ People of Earth, as well as Fox’s Scream Queens and Mulaney. She also had a recurring role on New Girl, and appeared in episodes of Brooklyn Nine-Nine, Curb Your Enthusiasm and No Activity.

Re: Random Thoughts
That Chad show looks like it has funny writing but they should have had an actual male to play the lead role. When I watch the trailer it appears the show isn't a transgender empowerment show but Pedrad is actually playing a biological boy. Couple that with her 100% female voice that can never pass for a (prepubescent) male voice, it just doesn't work for me.
Seems like good writing but poor execution.
Rick and Morty is pretty funny. Some of their episodes are really fucked up.

One of my favorite episodes and endings is the one where they made a live potion but everythig went to hell and their world was completely destroyed. At the end, Rick tells Morty to wait and he portals out for a little while and then comes right back and takes Morty to another dimension which was an exact copy of their dimension except in that one, Rick and Morty die in a lab explosion. So the Rick and Morty we have been watching take the place of the ones who died. As Rick explains this to Morty you can tell Morty is just absolutely gutted and has no other emotion but sadness.Rusty wrote:Fucking love Rick & Morty. Shit is insane.
You can tell the people who write the show are highly intelligent to be able to come up with the twists and turns they have.

I wasn't into the grumpy cat phenomena but I figured Abe probably spent many hours chuckling over that cat.
Ashley's passing is yet another wrestling tragedy and she surely won't be the last.
Ric Flair is headed for another heart surgery today and he can only beat the clock so many times but I hope he keeps going.

With Sheldon and his wife winning the Nobel Prize for Physics and all of his friends there watching and also Sarah Michelle Gellar because for some unknown reason, Buffy the Vampire Slayer was the last guest star of the series and she showed up in the final scene.
What I liked was that in nearly all long running sitcoms that come to an end it's usually all about every character inexplicably moving away from town in the last episode but TBBT did not go this route and opted to keep them all together, albeit with their own expanding families. So yes as Tyger said, it ended not with a Bang but with a whimper but it felt like the natural end to the series and that was fine by me.
BTW, the elevator finally got fixed!

Damn, a brutal animated caveman series from Genndy Tartakovsky??? Genndy created Star Wars: Clone Wars, Dexter's Laboratory and Samurai Jack. Consider me highly interested in his latest.
Adult Swim has ordered Primal, a half-hour animated series following a caveman and a dinosaur’s unlikely friendship, for premiere this fall. Here is the logline for the series per Deadline:
Primal features a caveman at the dawn of evolution. A dinosaur on the brink of extinction. Bonded by tragedy, this unlikely friendship becomes the only hope of survival in a violent, primordial world.

I almost made the joke myself but then decided to just watch it first. I don't know if we've ever discussed the show before which is kind of odd given how long it ran for.
TBBT had a really good series finale compared to all the really terrible ones I've been watching lately. It's usually pretty hard to screw up a sitcom finale but like I said, nearly all are about the characters just suddenly moving away in the end so I appreciated that they took a very different approach and I hadn't seen SMG in years.
Did you happen to see the after show with Johnny and Kaley where they walked around the set? In 12 seasons, I never knew that they actually filmed before a live studio audience, I'd always assumed it was a laugh track, that was an interesting discovery for me.
I enjoyed seeing the actual filming layout of the stage and discovering that the comic book store connected right to Penny's apartment. I feel like Stuart would have gotten good use out that.
I wasn't aware that TBBT filmed on Stage 25 on the Warner Bros lot which is the same place they filmed; Batman Returns, Casablanca, Blade Runner, Giant, Bonnie and Clyde and other shows like Maverick, V and What I Like About You and once TBBT wrapped, Stage 25 was officially renamed The Big Bang Theory Stage in their honor.

It was a decent finale but there really wasn’t a lot to wrap up in the first place. I think the moment after they find out they won the Nobel was one of my favorites of the whole series. That slap and then Sheldon’s realization were both gold.

I found the car filming portion interesting too. I hadn't really given how they made the show all that much thought over the last 12 years.
Leonard finally getting to clap Sheldon like that was a great moment and so very earned. As you said there was not much to wrap up as is always the case with sitcoms but they delivered a satisfactory ending and It was just nice to not be disappointed in yet another show I've been watching for years.
When a series shits the bed in the final season and particularly the finale, that series loses all replayability for me and I will be sure to avoid watching it again, basically a bad finale equals a show that is forever dead to me and will not be rewatched again. There were about five shows in the last month that I regret ever wasting time on having now seen how they ended. Currently TBBT stands alone this season....

SOA had such a shit finale but luckily for me by season 3 I had lost all love in the entire series and never did a rewatch of any kind.
I used to watch HIMYM all the time but I haven't seen an episode since probably around the time it originally ended its run. I wasn't avoiding it, I just haven't gotten around to watching since it ended but I don't really even remember the finale after all these years. I know it's on Hulu, maybe I'll give it another go this Summer.

I watched the entire run of HIMYM but I think it went on for far too long. The occasional hints about their mother just get old at some point but the ending was good.

The identity of the mother really turned out to be very irrelevant to the series as it ran forever. That's about what I recall from HIMYM, other than Barney's suit up catch phrase, ted being a massive douche, slapsgiving, dowisetrepla and a blue french horn, I've forgotten nearly everything else over time but I'm fairly certain that I watched most of the series.
UltimateMarvel wrote:What a fucking bastard! The guards didn't see him coming? What the hell was he saying?
He was waving and acting calmly so nobody saw a threat but I agree why was security so lax around a celeb like Ahnold? After the incident he tweeted about how he didn't even realize he'd been kicked, he said he thought he'd been knocked down by the crowd. So at least he wasn't hurt.

Yeah I saw a video from another angle and it wasn’t nearly as bad as that video makes it look. In the video above it looks like he’s knocked down but from another it’s like a small stumble.
I don’t know why people really thought the show was going to be about meeting the mother when it ran for NINE SEASONS. I don’t know why people don’t understand how anticlimactic that would actually be.

The mother never mattered to me but given that every single episode began with Ted talking about her and the show was titled "How I Met Your Mother" people just figured that at some point, Ted was going to meet the mother and so was the audience. Then after only 9 short years, when he finally did, she lasted like one episode before cancer swiftly killed her off. I have absolutely no memory of her, except for her death so correct me if I'm wrong on this.
I think Barney and Marshall were pretty much the only reason I used to watch the show, Ted or the mother never mattered to me.
