Primatologist Davis Okoye (Johnson), a man who keeps people at a distance, shares an unshakable bond with George, the extraordinarily intelligent, silverback gorilla who has been in his care since birth. But a rogue genetic experiment gone awry mutates this gentle ape into a raging creature of enormous size. To make matters worse, it’s soon discovered there are other similarly altered animals. As these newly created alpha predators tear across North America, destroying everything in their path, Okoye teams with a discredited genetic engineer to secure an antidote, fighting his way through an ever-changing battlefield, not only to halt a global catastrophe but to save the fearsome creature that was once his friend.
Scripted by Ryan Engle (Non-Stop) and Carlton Cuse & Ryan J. Condal (creators of the USA series Colony) and Adam Sztykiel (Due Date), the film also stars Jake Lacy, Joe Manganiello, P.J. Byrne, Marley Shelton, Breanne Hill, Jack Quaid, and Matt Gerald.

Rock seems to make exactly one kind of movie now, where he lets the CGI carry the work load.

LOL! Where the heck did this come from? The Rock just stays busy 24/7. Definitely looks like San Andreas. He should have made the sequel for that one instead, this is kind of stupid because it's just a mash of a little bit of King Kong and Godzilla and whoever that wold is supposed to be. I might have to see it for the cast.

He was too busy making sequels to Fast and Jumanji to make a sequel to San Andreas. Besides he's got another Fast sequel, his Hobbs sequel and a Baywatch sequel. What I'm saying is give it some time and another San Andreas will happen too. Unless he decides to return as The Scorpion King.....

Damn! It's just too much. I wish he would do something else and not these kinds of movies, something like Snitch. I want to see him in drama/action.

Just got back from watching Rampage. I enjoyed this.
I was apprehensive about this one but I'm glad I watched this one in theaters.

I've been seeing this pop up more and more, and oddly enough, I really want to watch it.

The Rock is contractually obligated to be the largest force in the cast.

Go watch it! It's fun. Shit hits the fan pretty quick as there is no need for character development.
