‘Supernatural’ Star Mark Sheppard Survives Six Massive Heart Attacks

Mark Sheppard, best known as “Crowley” on Supernatural, revealed on Instagram Saturday that he somehow survived six heart attacks.

“You’re not going to believe this! Was on my way to an appointment yesterday when I collapsed in my kitchen,” Sheppard began. The 59-year-old actor wrote that he had “six massive heart attacks” and was “brought back from [the] dead 4 times,” before learning that he “had a 100% blockage in my LAD” (left anterior descending artery.)”

Sheppard called the event “The Widowmaker,” and expressed his thanks to his medics.

“If not for my wife, the @losangelesfiredepartment at mullholland and the incredible staff @providencecalifornia St Joseph’s – I wouldn’t be writing this,” he said. “My chances of survival were virtually nil.”

“I feel great. Humbled once more,” Sheppard added. “Home tomorrow! #spnfamily.”

Sheppard’s castmate Misha Collins, who portrayed Castiel on the CW series, shared a message in the comments section of his post.

“Mark! You don’t need to do the most and biggest every time! 6 heart attacks? 2 or 3 would have been impressive enough,” Collins wrote.

“You’ve impressed us, okay. Now stop with this heal up and get back on the road with us,” he continued. “Love you, pal.”

Jared Padalecki is on the mend.

After the Supernatural star had to cancel his appearance at a fan convention in New Jersey last week, fans started speculating about his absence, even getting the hashtag #WeLoveYouJaredPadalecki to trend following the announcement. Padalecki tweeted Thursday, "Hey #SpnFamily! Sorry to miss y'all in NYC this weekend. Thank you and the #WalkerFamily for all the love and support. Can't wait to see y'all again."

Although Padalecki didn't immediately share the reason for his absence, he gave his former costar Jensen Ackles permission to do just that. At the convention, Ackles explained, "He was in a very bad car accident. He wasn't driving, he was in the passenger seat, and he's lucky to be alive. Not only that, but he's home recovering, which the fact that he's not even in a hospital right now is like blowing my mind because I saw the car."

Ackles gave a few more details, saying that there had been no fatalities and that Padalecki is recuperating. "That airbag packs a punch," Ackles added. "He was like, 'I feel like I went 12 rounds with Tyson.'"

Ackles assured fans that Padalecki is "doing okay" and "moving around" in the wake of what he called a "really, really bad car accident." But don't worry: As Ackles said, "He'll be back with us soon."
