Hands of Stone (Edgar Ramirez / Usher) (August 26th) Hands-10
Hands of Stone follows the life of Roberto Durán (Edgar Ramirez), the Panamanian fighter who made his professional debut in 1968 as a 16 year‐old and retired in 2002 at the age of 50. In June 1980, he defeated Sugar Ray Leonard (Usher Raymond) to capture the WBC welterweight title, but shocked the boxing world by returning to his corner in their November rematch, famously saying the words “no mas” (no more.)

Exactly what I said. In every mention of this movie over the last year all I ever heard was Raqmirez and DeNiro. I still don't understand what The Voice coach is doing in this, I don't think I've seen him act since She's All That.

Edgar Ramirez is an underrated actor.

But some of his film choices lately......

He was great in the 2010 biopic about Carlos the Jackal.

Illich Ramirez Sanchez.

Good actor, terrible film choices. Point Break. Rolling Eyes

Horrific CGI slathered garbage with a terrible script and no soul.

You could easily tell whenever the actors had been CGI'd onto the big waves or whatever big stunt was happening. Clearly they filmed most of that movie in a wave pool at SeaWorld or on various sound stages cause all of it looked very fake the moment they'd do an actor closeup. They thought cause they used the same names they might as well call it PB but I'm telling you that was Point Break in name only cause that movie lacked any heart. I've seen the original more times than i count but I watched the remake and immediately deleted it from my hard drive with no intentions of ever watching it again. At least Swayze actually jumped from the planes....

I'll just stick with Keanu and Patrick. Luke Bracey was so bad that he mid me miss Keanu's OTT acting in the original.

If you go in expecting a comedy then you might not hate it but I went in a huge fan of the original and all it's fun and enjoyable re-watchability but found myself getting angrier as this version went along. They ruined so many of my favorite characters and without the names I never would have made any connections to the original.

That makes sense. About halfway through I started screaming "Gimme my money back!" at my tv.
