Neighbors 2: Sorority Rising ($107,892,074)

Now that Mac (Rogen) and Kelly Radner (Byrne) have a second baby on the way, they are ready to make the final move into adulthood: the suburbs. But just as they thought they’d reclaimed the neighborhood and were safe to sell, they learn that the new occupants next door are a sorority even more out of control than Teddy (Efron) and his brothers ever dreamed of being.

Tired of their school’s sexist, restrictive system, the unorthodox ladies of Kappa Nu have decided to start a house where they can do whatever the hell they want. When Shelby (Moretz) and her sisters, Beth (Kiersey Clemons) and Nora (Beanie Feldstein), find the perfect place just off campus, they won’t let the fact that it’s located on a quiet street stand in their way of parties as epic as the guys throw.

Forced to turn to the one ex-neighbor with the skills to bring down the new Greeks next door, the Radners—alongside best friends Jimmy (Ike Barinholtz) and Paula (Carla Gallo)—bring in charismatic Teddy as their secret weapon. If he can infiltrate the sorority and charm his way through it, the thirtysomethings will shutter the Kappas’ home. But if they think that their neighbors are going down without a fight, they have severely underestimated the power of youthful ingenuity and straight-up crazy.

Um...Neighbors was just OK. This just seems like a waste of everyone's time. But who knows.

The first one was funny but this really didn't need a sequel. I didn't even know it did well in the BO.

$268 world wide on an $18 million budget, most comedies with those numbers get sequels these days.

Dave Franco will return for more house rental shenanigans, reprising his role in Neighbors 2, from universal. The follow up to the 2014 hit comedy, the plot and other details remain undisclosed. He’s joining other returning stars Seth Rogen, Zac Efron and Rose Byrne, along with recently-announced new castmember Chloe Grace Moretz.

I thought it'd be new neighbors in the neighborhood, didn't expect them to move in next door in Efron's fraternity house. Looks pretty much like the first one only missing most of the younger cast.

It's about a bunch of slutty wild sorority girls living the same kind of life as the guys. No college movie ever has a great plot, it's always about the parties. I think Animal House is the most developed this genre has ever gotten. I only saw Neighbors once and I remember nothing so I was expecting to see Efron and Green as adversaries again but clearly the relationship changed.

Neighbors 2 got it's ass whooped at the opening box office this weekend. The original opened to $49 million but the sequel only pulled in $21 million when all projections this week had it pegged for the mid-$30's. Way too much competition for this one at the BO.

I enjoyed this. I laughed a lot in this movie and it was entertaining but not as much as the first one. Selena Gomez is also barely in it.

I almost watched this one this afternoon but just couldn't get in the mindset for another Rogen comedy. I'll get around to it like I did with the first one but it's not a priority.

Neighbors 2 felt so completely bland and very tame compared to the first.

I feel like this didn't want to "objectify" the girls like they did with all the men in the first movie so they really held back and the result was the tamest college movie I've ever seen.There was nothing wild at all about this film and that's how it was heavily marketed. The girls wanted a sorority for feminist icon rallys and cookie bake sales? WTF, that is not the filth I thought I was getting good sirs! We were lied to and as a result I wouldn't watch a second time and I can't recommend this movie.

lol! Well, I did say it wasn't as good as the first. It was funny at times to me though.
