DEADPOOL Shoot To Close Vancouver Bridge For Sword/Gunfights And Car Chase Scenes

Despite having a budget smaller than catering on most X-Men movies, as Ryan Reynolds joked very recently, Deadpool will soon be closing a major highway in Vancouver, Canada, where filming is primarily taking place. According to a filming notice given to locals, the Fox/Marvel production will be restricting the use of the Georgia Street Viaduct from Sunday, April 5, to Thursday, April 16. "The scene involves our hero in a car chase, with stunt fight action on the bridge deck," notes the letter. Also, due to the use of theatrical smoke, lights to simulate a fire, exposed guns and swords, as well as simulated gunfire, the Vancouver Police Department will be on duty during the shoot.

We've already seen Ryan Reynolds and a few other Deadpool cast members on the Vancouver set this past week, so perhaps we'll finally get some action from the production over the weekend and throughout next week when it shuts down the Georgia Street Viaduct.

Could it be the same scene as the one we saw in the test footage? Not sure if that's going to even make it in the movie.

Test Footage Recreated As In Ryan Reynolds Suits Up In New Set Photos

Thanks to VancityBuzz, we now have some close up photos of Ryan Reynolds heading into action as Deadpool as you can see below. Forget what I said above too, as the costume clear is going to have the black/white eye pieces while they shoot.

It's not the suit I hate, It's the man in the suit. He continues to anger me by posting Official images like this while the BTS shots from stalkerazzi are actually good.

LOL! I actually like it. That's something Deadpool would do. You need to accept Reynolds, man. Is there a movie of his you like? When did you start hating him?

I love Smokin Aces but considering that cast its hard to call it any one actor's movie and Reynolds wasn't my favorite part about it.

I've purposely avoided the majority of his work because I just don't care for him and outside of Aces don't even own a single movie he's in. As for when I really started to turn against him, The Change Up. After that he was dead to me.

Wylde's just not familiar with the character or he'd know just how perfect the official photos are.

God damn, that suit looks PERFECT. Between this and Batfleck's suit it's like we're getting actual comic suits now, I fucking love it.

This is true, he's Marvel so outside of when he took on Frank Castle I've never read any of his stuff, he has never been of an interest to me.

Ryan Reynolds has shared another official image from the set of Deadpool, and well as another look at the Merc with the Mouth in full costume, we also get to see newcomer Brianna Hildebrand as Negasonic Teenage Warhead.

Entertainment Weekly about Fox’s upcoming star-child ‘Deadpool.’ In their discussion Simon pretty much calmed the beating hearts of gung-ho Deadpool fans who were worried about the film’s rating and went on to confirm that it will indeed be rated R. A hard R.

Deadpool is a hard R. It’s graphic. Nothing is taboo. You either commit to a truly outrageous boundary-pushing kind of movie or you don’t.”

I know a lot of you will be happy to hear that. Simon is basically saying that this film will be all kinds of crazy, just like a Deadpool movie should be. He then went on to talk about some of the craziness that will be in the film.

“I felt Fight Club and Tyler Durden were good corollaries… We are in strip clubs and dive bars and crappy apartments and far away from the shiny X-Men world.”

This is unlike anything you've ever seen. Trust me! Look, I'm a fan of Marvel in general but I don't determinate. There are good and bad in both universes and I appreciate the good in both. Wait until you see a trailer for this! I think everyone here will love it. If anyone has watched the trailer, post your thoughts...

As much as I want the #deadpool footage from #SDCC officially released, the VFX shots aren't done yet. We have something for you in 3 weeks.

Cool

After the highly-praised first Deadpool footage was shown at San Diego Comic-Con and later leaked online earlier this month, leading man Ryan Reynolds had promised that we would have something official in three weeks. Well, it's been two weeks since then, so it should come as no surprise that the first teaser trailer for the highly-anticipated "hard-R" rated Marvel movie has been classified as of yesterday, July 24th.

According to the handy Alberta Film Ratings website, the Deadpool "trailer A" will have a PG rating and a solid 2:24 running time. Therefore, we should be able to watch and over-analyze some high-definition visuals featuring the Merc with a Mouth in action in the coming days. This is just in time for Fox studio to begin the teaser trailer's theatrical run with the reboot of Marvel's First Family in Fantastic Four, which opens in theaters in just two weeks, on August 7, 2015.

Fantastic Failure Could Lead to Fast tracked Deadpool Sequel
take this news with a huge grain of salt, but The Daily Superhero is reporting that 20th Century Fox may be fast-tracking a sequel to Tim Miller's Deadpool, which stars Ryan Reynolds, and if that wasn't enough, they also suggest that there have been internal discussions regarding possibly swapping out the Fantastic Four sequel, which is already set for a June 9, 2017 release date, with a sequel to Deadpool, a yet-to-be released project they are reportedly very happy with.

It should be reiterated that this is an unconfirmed rumor, but if true, according to Empire & Birth.Movies.Death., a potential Deadpool sequel will more than likely incorporate Cable. Also, if true, this would also mean production on a Deadpool sequel would have to begin not long after its February 12, 2016 release date in order to meet the potential 2017 sequel date.

lol! I can't believe they planned a sequel for FF. It's unlikely that will get the go ahead now. Deadpool is already being well received from Comic Con to the official trailer so I'm sure it'll do great when it's out. Wouldn't be surprised if we got a trilogy.

You'd be hard-pressed to find a superhero casting more perfect than Ryan Reynolds as the Merc with a Mouth. In an interview conducted last month, after Deadpool wrapped, Reynolds admitted to walking away with one of his Deadpool suits, saying at the time: "I've waited 10 years to do this movie, so I'm leaving with a f**king suit." Pretty solid reasoning right there. And last night, on All Hallows' Eve, Reynolds put the suit to good use as he joined a group of young X-Men for some Halloween mayhem and general merriment.

Check out his tweet, which pokes a little fun at the X-Men continuity, below:

Dear Fox, stop changing the timelines. It's confusing the audience. #xmenassemble #happyhalloween
