San Diego Comic Con 2022 (Trailers, Panels and News)

Instead of bombarding the random thread with trailers for movies and shows we don't necessarily need threads for just yet, I figured I'd create a mass dumping ground for SDCC 2022.

Today we got two trailers dropped for upcoming Chris Pine movies and they couldn't possibly look to be more different. I'm down for Darlings but Dungeons likely gets a pass from me based on that trailer and the unexpected heist comedy aspect of it all.

Is this a remake of Interview with the Vampire?

Also, all these vampire projects, I knew vamps were making a comeback.

Yes Interview with the Vampire is the tv series remake based on the Anne Rice novels and it's starring the same characters you know from the movie.

Not sure if you caught it but GoT's Grey Worm is playing the role of Brad Pitt's Louis in this iteration.

I laughed when I saw that Christian Slater's author character is now a pod caster played by Eric Bogosian. How very modern.

There have been quite a few more bad vamper movies these past few years but the tv shows had been winding down before this.

No idea where Shahi was for SDCC but I didn't saw her at any event so I don't believe she was even in the city.

I highly doubt it's due to any drama such as she's avoiding promoting the movie like with "Don't Worry Darling" where they've got the star of the movie and its director who can't be near each other such as with Florence Pugh and Olivia Wilde. The story of those two was all over SDCC this weekend when Pugh opted to attend the Oppenheimer panel instead of the movie she's the lead actor in but I didn't hear word one about Shahi, so maybe she had a scheduling situation or just didn't want to travel.

What trailer or panel surprised or interested you most?

Did you see Chris Pine's long hair in the Dungeons panel? Good gods man, that boy needs to keep his clean cut look. Pine just can't pull off the long haired surfer routine.

I'm interested in watching the Dungeons and Dragons movie. I played DnD as a kid and love the novels. I wish they would do a movie series based on the Legends trilogy. That is my favorite trilogy. Will have to also read Chronicles at some point.
