Exclusive: Walker Scobell Eyed For Robin In The Batman 2
METOO - The DC Connected Universe (The Batman 2 Delayed a Full Year to October 2026) - Page 4 Walker10
Walker Scobell was having a pretty good year already with a hit movie under his belt. Then things got even better this week when he was cast to head up a major franchise that is rebooting in series form. And because this is Hollywood and news tends to cascade and/or build on itself when it comes to talent, there could be even more big casting news for the young actor before it’s all said and done. The latest Giant Freakin Robot exclusive from our trusted and proven source has it that Walker Scobell is being eyed to take on the role of Robin in The Batman 2 when we see a return to that newest version of Gotham City.

While this is all still very early on in the process, we do know that The Batman with Matt Reeves at the helm and Robert Pattinson in the cape and cowl is set to be a trilogy of films before it’s all said and done. And we know that along with that, there are major plans to develop a number of different projects around this version of Gotham City. So of course the studio, if going for a comprehensive view of the Batman universe, would want to add some version of Robin sooner than later. In this way, Walker Scobell could fit right in, bringing a younger version of the character than we’ve seen before in most live-action film settings. But it would still play along with the boyish charm the actor has already shown he can bring to bigger productions.

It isn’t totally clear how The Batman 2 would bring in Robin, or even which version of the character they have in mind. Considering Pattinson’s Bruce Wayne doesn’t exactly scream father figure, it’s hard to imagine Walker Scobell as the Dick Grayson version of the character. But Matt Reeves and company haven’t adhered one-to-one with some Batman source material so they could take this in a number of different directions.

Of course, the big news for Walker Scobell this week was the announcement that he’d been cast to play Percy Jackson in the new series on Disney+. It’s going to reboot the popular character from the Rick Riordan novels who’d gotten a movie adaptation back in 2010 with Logan Lerman taking on the titular character. The movies were merely meh considering the stories they had to work with, but this could work much better in series form in terms of character and world-building. One has to think that Disney is the right studio for this kind of project.

And Walker Scobell is just coming off his big break in this year’s Adam Project in which he played the young version of Ryan Reynolds’ time-traveling character. Breakout is probably an understatement seeing as how this was the actor’s first credited film role. It’s quite the jumping-off point considering he was working with one of Hollywood’s truly elite stars in Reynolds. The Adam Project was a top performer on Netflix for multiple weeks with critics praising Scobell’s performance, holding his own with Reynolds on screen. Others clearly took notice and the young actor is on his way to being a star himself.

We are sure to get more casting news for Walker Scobell in the near future, and we will have to be on the lookout to see if the studio can actually end up bringing him on as Robin in The Batman 2.

From Percy to Robin, this kid is blowing up. I saw The Adam Project and he's pretty good for his first gig as an actor.

You know how Hollywood is, the moment a talented 12 year old shows up it's a feeding frenzy over who can cast them quickest.

I haven't seen Adam Project because you know it stars my mortal enemy but it wouldn't be too hard to act circles around that clown. Hopefully, it's not a fluke and the kid is actually talented.

However, Pattinson's version of Batman should not be fostering a young kid at this point in the story, it's much too early.

Ezra Miller Being Recast As The Flash?
METOO - The DC Connected Universe (The Batman 2 Delayed a Full Year to October 2026) - Page 4 30408210
Ezra Miller is currently in a heap of trouble, as the actor has had several run-ins with the law, and he has exhibited some awful and bizarre behavior. This behavior is strange considering that Miller was meant to be the new “golden boy” of DC continuity. The Flash is meant to begin the multiverse for DC, and this could have meant that he would have appeared as the character in plenty of films apart from this new solo venture. However, there are growing rumors that he is set to be replaced. Who is the top actor to replace him? None other than Dylan O’Brien of Teen Wolf popularity.

This rumor might surprise a lot of people considering Warner Bros. had initially announced that they would not be replacing Ezra Miller. However, it could have meant they will not replace him for the first The Flash movie but are looking ahead to how he can be written out of DC continuity. Not the character, but Miller. It would be kind of tough to replace him once The Flash actually comes out, but then again, the multiverse is set to play an important role in all upcoming DC films. O’Brien could come in as a variant of The Flash, and theoretically just stay.

Warner Bros. might have no other choice but to replace Ezra Miller considering all the trouble he has put himself in. He was arrested for essentially robbing and threatening a couple in their hotel room. He then got angry at a bar in Hawaii and threw a chair, which struck a 26-year-old woman in the face. She sustained a half-inch cut on her head from the chair. Whatever demon seems to have a stranglehold on Miller needs to be done away with, as he is throwing his entire career away right now. It could be that maybe Warner Bros. plans to send the actor into some sort of rehab facility to clean him up, and then he could possibly return to DC in some way.

Casting Dylan O’Brien in place of Ezra Miller is not a bad choice, all things considered. He was fantastic on Teen Wolf and in The Maze Runner franchise. Fans would certainly like the CW version of the character to be cast too, Grant Gustin, but it seems that Warner Bros. might see fit to go with someone with more film experience. Warner Bros. is looking to completely overhaul the DC film continuity as well, so it could be that Miller gets his one film, and then the comic company decides to move on.

The Flash will debut on June 23, 2023. On top of seeing Ezra Miller reprise his role as the speedster, we will be treated to Michael Keaton taking on his most iconic role as Batman. Batfleck aka Ben Affleck will also be reprising his role as The Caped Crusader for the film, and honestly, we can’t wait till both Batmen come face to face. The Miller replacement rumors are sure to either be confirmed or denied for months on end, but Warner Bros. will need to make a more concrete decision sometime soon.

If the report turns out to be true, I could easily see Dylan O'Brien as Barry Allen. Besides he basically already played him for years just without the speed on Teen Wolf.

I like Dylan but so far his movie career has not panned out, I think he's capable of a lot more and with the right chance, he could prove it. If this recasting happens, I will not be angry.

Interesting, interesting. I’d be kind of surprised if he wanted to take on a huge action franchise, the accident really took a toll on him, but a huge studio tent pole with a ton of CGI like Flash probably has more safety precautions

He nearly died for Maze Runner and it did nothing for his career. But a role like Barry Allen could be exactly what he needs to redeem his career and we won't have to worry about him losing his mind and attacking people at bars or in their hotel rooms.

It better be, if not, I'm holding this against you.

Also, please just re shoot all of Ezra's scenes in Flash and Batgirl or otherwise shelve them indefinitely. It's only a matter of time until Ezra's next psychotic break kills some one and no amount of Keaton as Batman is going to be able to distract from that lunatic.

They gave a solid "NO" for continuity purposes, an attempt was made.

Come on man, what if Ezra's Barry "accidentally" Flashpoint's himself out of the time line in the opening credits and from then on it's a Barry Allen played by Dylan O'Brien? Perfectly acceptable, changing faces like he changes clothes.

lol I would totally accept that honestly but it would have to be at the end after the new timeline sets in. This might be the only way to do it. I don't know how else they can change actors and keep it going in the same universe.

DC’s ‘Wonder Twins’ Movie Not Moving Forward at HBO Max
METOO - The DC Connected Universe (The Batman 2 Delayed a Full Year to October 2026) - Page 4 Wonder13
The planned “Wonder Twins” live-action movie at HBO Max is no longer going forward, Variety has learned.

The news comes just over a month after it was announced that KJ Apa and Isabel May had been cast in the lead roles in the DC film as the titular twins. It also arrives in the wake of the Warner Bros.-Discovery merger and Discovery boss David Zaslav’s pledge to cut approximately $3 billion in costs at the newly merged company. “Wonder Twins” reportedly carried a budget of $75 million.

To that end, Variety exclusively reported that Discovery is exploring a significant overhaul of the DC Entertainment operations, while also exclusively reporting that the WarnerMedia-owned cable networks TBS and TNT will no longer be developing scripted programming.

“Wonder Twins” was first reported as in the works in February of this year. Warner Bros had hired Adam Sztykiel, who worked on the upcoming “Black Adam,” starring Dwayne Johnson, to write and direct “Wonder Twins.” Temple Hill’s Marty Bowen and Wyck Godfrey were to produce the project. Production was supposed to begin this summer in Atlanta.

“Wonder Twins” follows a pair of alien siblings named Zan and Jayna who hail from the planet Exxor, and have a pet space monkey named Gleek.

First seen in Hanna-Barbera’s 1977 animated TV series “All-New Super Friends Hour,” Jayna has the ability to shape-shift into animals, while Zan can shape-shift into water constructs. The super-siblings’ powers are activated by touching rings as they use their catchphrase, “Wonder Twin power, activate!” Following the animated series, the Wonder Twins appeared in DC comics and were later introduced into the main universe, since appearing on episodes of “Teen Titans Go!,” “Smallville” and “The Flash.”

That Hashtag Show first reported the film was scrapped. A spokesperson for Warner Bros. did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

Exclusive: Dwayne Johnson Eyed To Be Focus Of DC Films Moving Forward
METOO - The DC Connected Universe (The Batman 2 Delayed a Full Year to October 2026) - Page 4 Dwayne11
The DCEU has had some extreme wins and losses ever since its inception. Among the myriad of issues the cinematic narrative could be said to have suffered is that it’s really had no central figure. Ben Affleck is on the way out, the future of Henry Cavill’s Superman is still up in the air (pun not intended but retroactively embraced), and Gal Gadot’s last turn as Wonder Woman wasn’t well received. Now, Giant Freakin Robot is hearing from a trusted and proven source that for the foreseeable future, it will be Dwayne Johnson as the ancient anti-hero Black Adam who will lead the DCEU moving forward.

Our source tells us that David Zaslav — Warner Bros. Discovery’s CEO — has named Dwayne Johnson as the actor he wants the DCEU to focus on. Why? Well, our source says his reasons aren’t complicated: Johnson’s name is the biggest the DCEU has. And he’s not wrong. Johnson is a movie star, a wrestling star, a sitcom star, and — with his inclusion into Fortnite — a video game star. He’s attached to multiple money-machine franchises like Red Notice, Jumanji, Moana, and Fast & Furious (while he presumably won’t work with Vin Diesel again, he hasn’t ruled out a Hobbs & Shaw 2). Perhaps his only realistic rival in the “biggest DCEU star” department is Jason Momoa, but for the moment Dwayne Johnson still has Khal Drogo beat.

It’s also a sound decision because of something that seems to have hounded not only the DCEU films for years, but most of Warner Bros’ popular genre properties — scandal. Between the multiple arrests over the last couple of months, allegations of creative theft, and reports of erratic behavior on the set of The Flash; Ezra Miller has quickly become one of the most hated people in Hollywood. Yet they’re attached not only to the DCEU, but also Fantastic Beasts. Add to that the public’s growing disdain for Amber Heard and Jared Leto, and you’ve got a hefty percentage of the narrative’s heroes and villains almost certainly leaving the DCEU in the near future. Dwayne Johnson, so far, has proven to be one of the most scandal-free people alive to appear on the big screen. Probably the most controversial thing he’s done in the past couple of years is to be one of the few actors in Hollywood to say no to Vin Diesel for Fast X. Oh, and he also wants Black Adam to beat up Superman.

There’s something else to consider in the idea of Dwayne Johnson playing the DCEU’s central figure, and that’s the character he’s playing. Black Adam is an intriguing choice for the narrative’s answer to Iron Man. He could very well be the perfect fusion of old and newer superhero sensibilities. While on one hand, Black Adam is one of the most morally ambiguous superheroes coming to either the DCEU or the superhero movie genre as a whole, on the other hand Dwayne Johnson himself absolutely exudes the kind of wholesome good guy vibe we think of when we imagine clean cut, hard working patriotic superheroes like Steve Rogers. Meaning, if handled right, Johnson’s anti-hero can push boundaries but without pushing too far to be bankable.

I read all of that, and I can only see this costing them more for even bigger fails.

The Rock, and Black Adam, can't hold a franchise. He's boring as fuck. He can't hold a candle to Chris Evans "Captain America" - and unfortunately that's what they think Black Adam can be to the DC universe.

These cunts are fucked in the head.

It sounds to me like the new head of Warner Discovery is just a big Rock fan and is going to use his new toy as he sees fit regardless of Rock being the most expensive and overpaid actor in the business.

But if they slather it in enough VFX and make sure to keep out ghosts and gays, then the foreign markets will make sure Black Adam is a smashing success regardless of how crappy the movie is.

I'm sure they weren't paying Chris Evans a quarter of the film's entire budget to play Captain America either....

DC Wants Joker Director Todd Phillips To Be A Kevin Feige-Like Advisor
METOO - The DC Connected Universe (The Batman 2 Delayed a Full Year to October 2026) - Page 4 Joker-12
Warner Bros. wants Joker director Todd Phillips to be DC Films' Kevin Feige. While most famous for his raunchy comedies like Road Trip and The Hangover trilogy, the director stepped into the world of DC in 2019 Joker, which was both a tonal shift for the director and DC as the film was a mid-budget adult-oriented drama as opposed to an action movie. Joker paid off for Warner Bros. in a big way, grossing $1 billion worldwide and earning 11 Academy Awards nominations, including Best Director for Phillips and Best Picture, and walked away with two wins, Best Actor for Joaquin Phoenix and Best Original Score.

Ever since Joker, Warner Bros. has been trying to replicate the film's success. Rumors have circulated that the studio has approached Philips and Phoenix for Joker 2, but no official announcement has been made regarding that front. With how much emphasis was put on Joker before its release about being a one-off film and Philips's comments about superhero movies, Philips seemed unlikely to return to the DC well soon.

That is not stopping Warner Bros. from actively pursuing Phillips, as according to THR, Warner Bros. Discovery chief David Zaslav has approached Philips about advising on future DC film projects. It notes that Phillips would not serve in an executive capacity, but this is part of Zaslav's plan to sort out DC, which remains a significant challenge and a high priority for Warner Bros. Discovery. While Phillips and Zaslav have developed a rapport, the report says that Phillips does not have a massive knowledge of the DC Universe.

Ever since the merger of Warner Bros. and Discovery, restructuring the DC projects on film and television has been a high priority for the studio and was in for a major overhaul. Warner Bros. canceled various DC projects like the Wonder Twins film for HBO Max and CW series like Batwoman, Legends of Tomorrow, and Naomi. Warner Bros. Discovery reportedly is frustrated with producer J.J. Abrams's lack of progress on DC projects the producer is attached to, like the Zatanna movie and Constantine series on HBO Max.

Since the DCEU's creation, they've had multiple individuals tasked with overseeing the projects creatively, originally Zack Snyder and then Geoff Johns and Jon Berg. In April, it was reported that Warner Bros. was looking for their own Kevin Feige figure for the DC brand while also wanting to make more singular vision films like The Batman and Joker, so it makes a certain amount of sense for them to approach Phillips on that front. However, Philips's lack of knowledge of both the larger DC Universe as well as his previous comments about the genre may not be the best fit for the franchise going forward, as the thing Kevin Feige brings to the MCU is both an understanding and love of the material but also the logical sense of a producer to realize what will work for mainstream audiences.

Joker 2: DC Movie Gets Positive Development Update In New Report
METOO - The DC Connected Universe (The Batman 2 Delayed a Full Year to October 2026) - Page 4 Joker-13
Director Todd Phillips is reportedly very close to making Joker 2 starring Joaquin Phoenix. As part of Warner Bros. and DC Films' decision to move away from a tight shared universe model for all of its DC movies, the studio greenlit a Joker origin story. The movie starred Phoenix as Arthur Fleck, the man who becomes Joker in this universe. Joker became a massive success for WB and DC upon its release in 2019. The movie shocked Hollywood as it earned over $1 billion worldwide and became a major Oscars contender, with Phoenix winning the Best Actor Academy Award.

Unsurprisingly, Joker's success brought up discussions about a sequel. Development on Joker 2 began in late 2019 when it was reported that Phillips and co-writer Scott Silver had begun negotiations with the studios to return. There haven't been many updates on the sequel since then, as Phoenix has said he was not sure if another movie would happen. The fate of Joker 2 and many other DC movies have recently been questioned again after Warner Bros.' merger with Discovery.

According to a new report from Puck News, it seems that Joker 2 has made a lot of progress. An article from Matthew Belloni mentions that Todd Phillips is reportedly "getting pretty close on a Joker sequel." Since he is directing and co-writing the script, it is possible this means the Joker 2 story has been cracked or that the script is nearly complete.

Warner Bros. has yet to officially announce the Joker sequel or give it a release date.

These reports of Joker 2 making some progress comes after additional reports that Phillips could take on a larger role within DC's movie future. Warner Bros. Discovery's CEO David Zaslav reportedly wants the Joker director to serve as an advisor on the DC slate. This comes after Zaslav and Phillips have seemingly developed a great working rapport. Based on these previous reports, it is possible that Joker 2 is now so close to happening because of Zaslav's admiration for what Phillips accomplished with the first film and wanting to keep him inside the DC universe.

If the Joker sequel does happen with Phoenix returning, all eyes will be on what Phillips' story is. There is plenty of interest from fans to see Phoenix's Joker fight a version of Batman, even though Bruce Wayne was just a child during the events of the first film. Of course, the proposed idea of Willem Dafoe playing a second Joker in the sequel has also conjured plenty of excitement. The truth is that no one really knows what Joker 2's story will be at this point, but that could change if the movie keeps making progress.

Warner Bros trying to get Phillips to be their Feige makes me laugh at just how purely desperate they are. Todd Phillips.......the man behind Road Trip, a string of forgettable comedies and The Hangover franchise managed to do what nobody else in their entire studio could do and that was make a captivating comic origin story.

I think they should just let Phillips make Joker 2 and they can keep making stand alone DC movies that aren't connected because they've proven time and again that they are unable to right this ship and its time to move on from the connected universe. Todd Phillips is not the guy to build their DCU, he's the guy to make their Joker franchise.

Ezra Miller Under Fire For Alleged Grooming Of Young Girl
METOO - The DC Connected Universe (The Batman 2 Delayed a Full Year to October 2026) - Page 4 Ezra-m13
Is today a day that ends with Y? Well, you know what that means — new allegations regarding potentially disgusting crimes leveled at Hollywood’s most likely recipient of the “How Does He Still Have A Career” Award since Mel Gibson got pulled over in 2006. That’s right, we can only be talking about Justice League star Ezra Miller. The newest accusations come from concerned parents who claim Miller has been grooming their daughter since she was 12 years old.

TMZ reports they have obtained legal documents filed by the parents of 18-year-old Tokata Iron Eyes, asking the court for an order of protection against Ezra Miller on their daughter’s behalf. Among their allegations, the parents say Miller uses “violence, intimidation, threat of violence, fear, paranoia, delusions, and drugs to hold sway” over their daughter. The documents reportedly claim that Miller first met Tokata when they visited the Standing Rock Reservation in North Dakota in 2016, when Tokata was 12 and Miller was 23. Two years later, the documents say, the 25-year-old Miller flew a 14-year-old Tokata to England to visit the Leavesden studio where much of 2016’s Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them was filmed.

Since then, Tokata’s parents claim, Miller exposed their child to illegal drugs and influenced her to drop out of the private school Tokata was attending, Bard’s Academy at Simon’s Rock in Massachusetts. They also believe Miller has been physically abusive and claim that when they went to Miller’s home in Vermont to see her, Tokata had bruises on her body. They allege at the time they discovered Miller had stripped Tokata of “driver’s license, car keys, bank card” and other crucial personal items. Tokata has taken to social media to defend Miller, who she calls her “comrade.”

More and more it seems like if there is such a thing as “cancel culture,” Ezra Miller is precisely the kind of person it was created to deal with. And yet with Warner Bros. having sunk far too much money into next year’s The Flash — in spite of increasing noise from fans that Miller has proven themself to be possibly the worst possible ambassador of the DCEU in history, and in spite of punitive actions taken against Johnny Depp and perhaps now Amber Heard — so far the blockbuster is still set to hit theaters, with no plans to replace Miller in the title role.

Considering The Flash will no doubt have a budget in the hundreds of millions, and that it’s widely believed to lay the foundation for the DCEU moving forward, it’s understandable why it may not be feasible or even possible to pull an 11th hour replacement along the lines of Christopher Plummer stepping in to replace Kevin Spacey in 2017’s All the Money in the World. But it’s difficult to not speculate that things may get to a point where the studio has no choice. Ezra Miller seems embroiled in new scandals — almost always including being accused of crimes, and often allegedly violent ones — on quite literally a monthly basis. Last month they were accused of stealing songs by producer Oliver Ignatius. They were arrested in Hawaii in March for disorderly conduct after allegedly getting violent in a bar, and they were arrested a second time in April for allegedly breaking a woman’s nose at a party. They were also accused of threatening to murder a couple they were staying with, and of stealing the couple’s belongings. Now there’s accusations of grooming, there’s that video that shows them choking a woman, and let’s not forget the bizarre Instagram video in which they ordered a reportedly nonexistent chapter of the Ku Klux Klan to commit suicide. Bill Murray gets fired for “unprofessional behavior” and Miller can’t seem to enter a building without allegedly throwing a chair at someone, but they still get to be one of the most famous superheroes in the world? If Cancel Culture is real, it needs to work smarter.

I wonder what his good buddy Jason Momoa is going to think about this.

WB needs to scrap The Flash entirely. Dylan O'Brien is their way forward and they need to just move on by starting over. Then replace Miller with O'Brien in every scene in Batgirl too. Done. It can be their real life Flashpoint.

What the fuck are WB doing? When this tanks at the box office, that place is going to have people jumping out the windows.

I have to ask, how the fuck are you letting your teenage kid stay interstate with him?

TMZ went super-woke in that last paragraph only referring to him as they.

Apparently early test screenings of The Flash have been positive and WB execs are calling it "The best DC movie yet" so they fully intend to release it as is. Ezra Miller will have likely beheaded a woman and put her in his fridge before Flash is actually released but the suits at WB still won't back down.

Ezra Miller is the white R Kelly.

Ezra Miller Unable To Be Located By Court After Recent Allegations
METOO - The DC Connected Universe (The Batman 2 Delayed a Full Year to October 2026) - Page 4 Ezra-m15
The newest controversial situation surrounding film star Ezra Miller has just gotten more so. As we previously reported, the latest of the many, many legal situations involving them started when the parents of 18-year-old Tokata Iron Eyes filed an order of protection against Ezra Miller. Lawyer/activist Chase Iron Eyes and pediatrician Sara Iron Eyes alleged in the legal documents that Miller had been grooming their child since the age of twelve. A court judge approved the interim order Tuesday, but per the Los Angeles Times, the petition states “the Court cannot locate or serve” Ezra Miller. Both Miller and Tokata Iron Eyes’ location appears to be currently unknown.

According to Chase Iron Eyes and Sara Jumping Eagle, a visit by Ezra Miller to the North Dakota Standing Rock Reservation in 2016 resulted in Miller taking “an immediate and apparently innocent liking”  to their child. They allege that over the course of the subsequent years, Miller groomed Tokata Iron Eyes, introduced them to illegal drugs, and encouraged them to drop out of the private school they were attending. The parents also claim in the documents that the then-25-year-old Ezra Miller flew the then-14-year-old Tokata Iron Eyes to England to visit a studio where Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them was being filmed.

Iron Eyes’ parents allege that Ezra Miller uses “violence, intimidation, threat of violence, fear, paranoia, delusions, and drugs to hold sway” to control their child and claim that they found bruises on Tokata Iron Eyes’ body while visiting them at Miller’s home. They also claim that Miller has taken items such as “driver’s license, car keys, bank card” from Tokata Iron Eyes. Per People, Iron Eyes’ parents also claim that Ezra Miller does not allow people near them to carry phones for their own use.

Tokata Iron Eyes has taken to social media several times in the last week to defend Ezra Miller. Iron Eyes clarified that they now go by the name Gibson and use they/them pronouns (the legal documents filed by their parents use their birth name and she/her pronouns), and posted the video on Instagram.

In an email sent to Rolling Stone regarding the allegations against Ezra Miller, Iron Eyes wrote “The notion that I have been brainwashed or that I’ve been coerced in any context is grotesquely false. My independence from my family in this way is new and complex, their reaction to my actions is not my responsibility, [and I’ve] tried to have civil, virtual interactions with both of them and failed.” In the video, they also stated they did not have a phone, but it was by their own choice.

Chase Iron Eyes stated in an interview with the Los Angeles Times that he and the court “have no idea of knowing where Tokata and Ezra [Miller] are to gain help from other jurisdictions.” The order bars Miller from contacting or harassing Tokata and Chase Iron Eyes and Sara Jumping Eagle for 30 days, as well as being required to stay 100 yards from the Iron Eyes residence.

Ezra Miller is set to star in Warner Bros. often-delayed Flash movie, but there has been much speculation about their future with the DCEU franchise in the wake of the continuing and increasing allegations against them. We will update with information as it comes.

Nearly everyone who opposed the Snyderverse has recently been fired during the WB Discovery merger. All the power players who caused all those problems the first time are essentially gone or on their way out, which has left an opening.

There are now rumblings that Zack Snyder is be on his way back to to the DCEU with Man of Steel 2 starring a returning Henry Cavill. It's still early days and nothing is set in stone but given that the WB power players see Black Adam as their crown jewel going forward and The Rock has been quite clear that he wants to fight Superman and he wants it to be Cavill.

Not to forget that with all the controversy surrounding Ezra Miller and Amber Heard, then Henry Cavill and his clean record have got to be looking really good to the newly appointed suits right about now.

I also just read that Keaton's Batman showed up twice in an Aquaman 2 test screening. Guess it's official, DC has replaced Batfleck. Cool

No it doesn't, which makes me think they just haven't announced another big delay for Aquaman 2.

Earlier today there were reports all over that Heard had been completely cut from the sequel and that Mera was going to be recast but then the story was later debunked by Heard herself, which makes me think it's definitely true and she's out cause every word that broad says is a lie.

Only time will tell but I think another delay is inevitable, especially if Keaton is now in it after more than a year of rumors that Affleck was the man back in the bat suit. I think WB has Flashpoint booked themselves and the DCEU into oblivion.

‘Batman Azteca’ – HBO Max Animated Movie Gives Rise to a New Batman in Mexico
METOO - The DC Connected Universe (The Batman 2 Delayed a Full Year to October 2026) - Page 4 Batman10
A brand new Batman animated movie from DC is in the works for HBO Max Latin America, Deadline reports this week, and the unique new project is titled Batman Azteca.

The full title for the animated movie is Batman Azteca: Choque de Imperios (Aztec Batman: Clash of Empires), and it’s set during the Aztec Empire in Mexico.

Here’s the plot synopsis…

“In the time of the Aztec Empire, Yohualli Coatl — a young Aztec boy — experiences tragedy when his father and village leader, Toltecatzin, is murdered by Spanish Conquistadors. Yohualli escapes to Tenochtitlan to warn King Moctezuma and his high priest, Yoka, of imminent danger.

“Using the temple of Tzinacan, the bat god, as a lair, Yohualli trains with his mentor and assistant, Acatzin, developing equipment and weaponry to confront the Spaniard invasion, protect Moctezuma’s temple, and avenge his father’s death.”

Horacio Garcia Rojas (“Narcos: Mexico”) is voicing Yohualli Coatl.

Juan Meza-León (“Harley Quinn”) is on board to direct.

Ezra Miller Just Deleted Their Social Media As Court Tries To Locate Flash Star
METOO - The DC Connected Universe (The Batman 2 Delayed a Full Year to October 2026) - Page 4 Ezra-m16
Ezra Miller has played The Flash, they’ve played Credence Barebone of the Wizarding World, and they’ve played Trashcan Man in The Stand. Maybe it’s time someone cast them as the Invisible Man. In the wake of Chase Iron Eyes and Sara Jumping Eagle succeeding in getting an order of protection on behalf of their 18-year-old-child Tokata Iron Eyes against Miller, the actor started traveling and as of today have deleted their social media accounts.

As reported by CBR, before deleting their Instagram, Ezra Miller posted messages to their stories with what seems like the intent of mocking the court while at the same time referencing their upcoming film The Flash. One reads, for example, “You cannot touch me I am in another universe.” You can see screenshots of some of those posts below.

In their longest post, in a format reminiscent of poetry, Miller writes, “I am shielded from negative people & their ill intent. My spirit, mind, body, soul + success are not altered by anyone’s envy. I am protected from all negative NRG people attempt to throw at me. Subconsciously & consciously. I clear any & all hidden peers who are hidden enemies.”

Things started heating up under Ezra Miller more after last week when news broke that Tokata Iron Eyes’ parents were accusing Miller of grooming their child since they were 12 and Miller was 23. The Perks of Being a Wallflower star reportedly met Tokata in 2016 when they visited the Standing Rock Reservation in North Dakota. Two years later — when Tokata was 14 and Miller was 25 — Miller flew Tokata to England to visit the Leavesden studio where much of 2016’s Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them was filmed. Tokata’s parents claim it was during this trip that Miller allegedly began exposing Tokata to illegal drugs.

Since then, Tokata’s parents allege Ezra Miller influenced the child to leave boarding school, move in with Miller, and stripped Tokata of crucial personal items (e.g. legal identification, wallet, car keys). They also claim when they visited Tokata in Miller’s Vermont home, they found bruises on their child which they believe were inflicted by Miller.

Ezra Miller’s behavior seems to be getting increasingly erratic and unpredictable. In March they were arrested for disorderly conduct after some alleged violence in a bar, and they were arrested a second time in April. The second time, Miller was accused of breaking a woman’s nose with a chair at a party. They were also accused of threatening a couple they were staying with, and of stealing things like their wallet, passport, etc. Back in 2020, in an incident that all on its own would seem like enough to kill most Hollywood careers, Miller was caught on video seemingly choking a woman. Back in January, when their social media was still up and running, Miller uploaded a video to Instagram in which they ordered a reportedly nonexistent chapter of the Ku Klux Klan to commit suicide. Warner Bros. may very well claim the Miller isn’t being replaced as The Flash, but if they haven’t started coming up with some kind of alternate plan, they better start soon.

12-Year-Old Granted Order of Protection Against Ezra Miller
METOO - The DC Connected Universe (The Batman 2 Delayed a Full Year to October 2026) - Page 4 2019-110
On Wednesday, a mother and her 12-year-old child traveled to their local courthouse in Greenfield, Massachusetts, and were granted a temporary harassment prevention order against Ezra Miller after alleging that the actor menaced their family one evening in their downstairs neighbor’s home and acted inappropriately toward the nonbinary youngster.

The news comes on the heels of a number of other disturbing allegations that have surfaced against the 29-year-old, best known for their turn as The Flash in Justice League. (Miller is also nonbinary).

Last week, the parents of 18-year-old environmental activist Tokata Iron Eyes requested that a court issue a protective order against Miller, stating in court documents that the actor met Tokata six years ago when they were 12 and Miller was 23, and that “Ezra uses violence, intimidation, threat of violence, fear, paranoia, delusions, and drugs to hold sway over a young adolescent Tokata.”

The parents also accused Miller of influencing Tokata’s decision to come out as nonbinary transgender. (An unverified Instagram account presumed to belong to Tokata denied the claims.) The court has been unable to locate Miller to serve them the papers, and Miller deleted their Instagram Wednesday afternoon—but not before posting a series of memes mocking the authorities for their inability to find them.

Creator Mia Solange took to TikTok in April to accuse Miller of being a “#abuser,” while the actor was arrested twice in Hawaii for disorderly conduct, harassment, and allegedly throwing at chair at a woman. On top of all that, in 2020, a video went viral of Miller attacking a young female fan in Iceland, though local authorities declined to investigate the incident.

In the Massachusetts case, The Daily Beast reviewed a copy of the protection order signed by a judge and spoke with the 12-year-old accuser, their mother, and another neighbor who was present; the case docket has not been posted on the court’s online system, so the official complaint made by the child’s mother was not available.

The Daily Beast also reviewed contemporaneous text messages sent by the mother and the neighbor as well as photographs that corroborated parts of their accounts of the night in question. We are withholding names for privacy reasons.

On the evening of Feb. 2, the trio contend that Miller was present at the downstairs neighbor’s home in Greenfield, which is located about 40 miles from the actor’s ranch in Stamford, Vermont. That neighbor is in a band with Whitney Suters, a musician who is close friends with Miller.

“[Miller] was wearing a bulletproof vest—and I had no idea until later that they were armed,” recalls the visiting neighbor.

Tensions began brewing when the mother says she mentioned doing some traveling recently with “her tribe” of people, leading Miller to snap at her and accuse her of cultural appropriation. Then, a conversation about board games allegedly went sideways when, after Miller claimed that the board game Parcheesi had Rastafarian roots, the visiting neighbor—who is half-Black—questioned Miller as to which sect of the Rastafari movement it originated from.

“At this point, Ezra explodes and started screaming directly into my face,” the visiting neighbor tells me. “They said, ‘You don’t even know what the fuck you’re talking about. What did you say to me? What did you just say to me?!’” “I was very caught off-guard,” the visiting neighbor continues. “Then they opened up their jacket—they had this, like, big Sherpa jacket—and they opened up one side of their jacket, you could see a gun, and they said, ‘Talking like that could get you into a really serious situation.’”

Next, according to the visiting neighbor, the mother, and the child, Miller focused their attention on the then-11-year-old, saying, “I’ve talked extensively with your child, and they have a lot of power to them. At one point, you’re going to realize that you don’t have any control over them anymore. They’re an elevated being, and they would be lucky to have someone like me guide them.”

They say Miller proceeded to turn to the mother, who dresses Goth, and accused her of being a witch and a vampire, repeatedly yelling at her, “Do you want to drink my blood? Do you!?”

Miller then came back to the child and allegedly began pestering them with compliments—at one point moving their chair closer to them, uncomfortably hugging them and touching their hips, requesting that they add the actor on Instagram, and telling the child—who expressed their interest in horses—that they would acquire several horses and the child could help them care for the herd on their Vermont farm.

“They automatically were just weirdly drawn to me and kept talking about how they love my outfit and love my style, and kept going on and on about how it was great,” the child remembers. “It was really uncomfortable. I was really nervous. I was scared to be around them after he’d yelled at my mother and she was crying.”

The mother and visiting neighbor both believe that Miller may have been “under the influence” due to their dilated pupils and erratic behavior. Miller apologized for the outburst before returning to the home on June 4, dressed as a cowboy, without incident. Ever since the Tokata Iron Eyes news broke, however, they haven’t seen or heard from them since.

A representative for Miller could not immediately be reached for comment.

This is now two underage girls we've heard about so far that Miller has groomed and tried to convince they're "non-binary".

This shit bag rolls into a family's home dressed "like a cowboy" in a bulletproof vest and a sherpa coat, accusing parents of being witches and vampires who drink blood all while trying to convince their 12 year old daughter that she's "non-binary" and "full of power" then threatens to murder her mother so that she can come to work his private ranch?!?!

Meanwhile, WB just keeps pretending that they don't have a massive problem. It's literally going to take Ezra Miller being drug off in handcuffs covered in the blood of a family before the WB is like, "I guess we don't have access to Miller anymore on a count of his being in a prison cell. Now we need to discuss our options."

Holy fucking shit, somebody put this predator in a cage or six feet down, right now!!!!!!

I'm starting to feel like this is going to end in a police stand off and a murder suicide.

I'm shocked that he's not fired yet. This just keeps getting weirder and weirder. And if he's hiding, this is most likely all true.

LOL Fuck me dead. His death is imminent.

As an aside, is this article from the same source as the earlier one?

Regarding the quotes, there's not a chance in fucking hell the visiting half-black neighbour referred to Ezra as "they" instead of "he". Not a single solitary fucking chance.

The Flash will end up shelved indefinitely throwing the entire DCEU into further chaos until they pretend none of it happened and just start over with Black Adam.

They're gonna just insert all the footage of Keaton from Flash and Batgirl into random moments in Black Adam. Razz

In regards to the Ezra articles, no they were from different sites and sources:

Ezra Miller Just Deleted Their Social Media As Court Tries To Locate Flash Star - GiantFreakinRobot (It's where I get the majority of my "top secret" movie news)

12-Year-Old Granted Order of Protection Against Ezra Miller - The Daily Beast

Ezra will likely kill whatever non-binary gathering of female victims he's gathered before he takes himself out when the cops come to serve him that protection order. He's out of his fucking mind and he's going to be convinced they want to drink his blood and he's going to just start shooting people.

Warner Bros. and DC Should Ditch Ezra Miller as ‘The Flash’ — Here’s Why
METOO - The DC Connected Universe (The Batman 2 Delayed a Full Year to October 2026) - Page 4 Screen24
A promising young actor with musical ability scores in several indie movies, gets cast as a key character in two big franchises, and starts getting into trouble with the law. They get hit with abuse, assault, and harassment allegations, is arrested twice for disorderly conduct, and a frightened couple takes out a restraining order against them.

Johnny Depp? Nope. Ezra Miller.

Miller, 29, scored rave reviews in “We Need to Talk About Kevin” and “The Perks of Being a Wallflower” before landing the role of Credence Barebone in JK Rowling’s “Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them” and two sequels, as well as Barry Allen/The Scarlet Speedster/The Flash, which they (Miller uses “they/them” pronouns) portrayed in four DCEU films leading up to the 14th DC feature film, time-travel multiverse adventure “The Flash,” which features two alternate Batmans (Michael Keaton and Ben Affleck) and is now in post-production.

Warners Bros. announced the project as part of the extended DCEU on October 2014, with a March 23, 2018 release date. From there, it faced delay upon delay: Multiple director departures, multiple scripts (including one by Miller), and then the pandemic, which pushed the shoot to 2021. The film wrapped production in November 2021 under the direction of “It” series filmmaker Andy Muschietti, with a June 23, 2023 release date.

A not-funny thing happened on their way to becoming a superhero: Ezra Miller is now a toxic asset. There’s the ongoing run-ins with the law; videos of them attacking fans; and this week’s protective order from the Standing Rock Sioux Tribal Court involving Tokata Iron Eyes, who is now 18 but has been close to Miller since she was 12. When Miller flew her to the “Fantastic Beasts” set in 2017 when she was 14, her parents say the actor tried to sleep with her. They are trying to get their daughter away from their influence, stating: “Ezra uses violence, intimidation, threat of violence, fear, paranoia, delusions, and drugs to hold sway over a young adolescent Tokata.”

Remember when Warners had to replace Depp with Mads Mikkelsen on “Fantastic Beasts”? Those were the good old days. Today, the studio must contend with an unrepentant and potentially criminal movie star, one that has a protective order filed against them but the court has been unable to serve because their location is unknown. So far they’re sticking with their 2023 release date: They figure time is on their side.

In June 2020, when then-26-year-old “West Side Story” star Ansel Elgort got hit with an underage sexual harassment accusation (she was 17 he was 20), Disney and Steven Spielberg simply cited the pandemic in pushing back the release date. The hope was the story would lose its potency and it did. Disney focused its publicity campaign on Elgort’s Latina costars, and Ariana DeBose won the Oscar. Similarly, with the luxury of an ensemble, Disney shifted focus from Armie Hammer in “Death on the Nile.”

However, neither of those movies could have been titled “Tony” or “Simon Doyle.” Warners has “The Flash,” which stars Miller as The Flash in two different roles: in one the character is 18, the other is the speedster at age 28. It also take place in a multiverse, with multiple versions of superheroes (which is why both Michael Keaton and Ben Affleck are playing Batman).

Back in our universe, Miller’s Instagram account was deactivated this week and another parent was granted a temporary harassment prevention order against the actor June 15. A mother in Greenfield, Massachusetts charged that the actor confronted her and her 11-year-old nonbinary child while Miller wore a bulletproof vest and flashed a gun. According to The Daily Beast, Miller (who also identifies as nonbinary) told the mother of her child: “They’re an elevated being, and they would be lucky to have someone like me guide them.”

Elgort’s transgressions dated back to 2014; between the time passed and deprecating his promotion in “West Side Story,” Elgort went on to Michael Mann’s “Tokyo Vice,” which HBO Max picked up for a second season earlier this week. Likewise, Armie Hammer’s accusations were more recent, with claims of cannibal kink and violent rape. He dropped out/was dropped from multiple projects, including Paramount+ miniseries “The Offer,” Starz miniseries “Gaslit,” and a Broadway play, and his career has yet to recover.

However, neither of these actors is an analog for Miller. Depp isn’t, either. No one is. Hollywood has never had to deal with a star of a nearly $200 million franchise — one who’s received upbeat buzz in early previews and is meant to be a long-term asset — who’s also engaging in ongoing, real-time criminal behavior and can’t be located by anyone because they’re currently dodging the law. (It’s worth noting that neither Elgort nor Hammer ever faced criminal charges.)

In the analog era, Warner Bros. would dump the movie and do its best to hide the leading man from publicity. Today, the studio has several expensive options if it wants to replace Miller.

When Paul Walker unexpectedly died in 2013 in the midst of shooting “Furious 7,” the filmmakers rewrote the ensemble piece and added a poignant farewell, using the late actor’s two brothers to create 350 shots that allowed his character to remain on screen.

It cost $10 million for Ridley Scott to remove Kevin Spacey from the 2018 release “All the Money in the World.” The director rebuilt sets, re-edited, and re-shot the supporting role with Christopher Plummer.

Similarly, Zack Snyder removed comedian Chris D’Elia from “Army of the Dead” in 2020 after multiple women accused him of pursuing them as teenagers, replacing him with Tig Notaro. (He denies the allegations.)

“The Flash” boasts some 2500 VFX shots and digital replacement has become easier than ever, but it’s one thing to replace faces; live-action close-ups are another matter.

“There is much that can be done with using multiple types of techniques,” wrote one VFX master in an email. “But with LED wall technology, [they] can be erased in many cases and the new actor replace [them] and it would look pretty authentic without rebuilding sets or re-staging the sequences. That works in some or perhaps many cases. Full-on face replacement, but using their body, would work for other scenes. Once [they are] in the suit I imagine it would be hard to tell the difference. The full CG Flash of course is simple. The last version is wholesale replacing and re-filming in the set practically. Things are easier than ever with deep fake face and voice alteration getting so realistic.”

Even more than how much Warners wants to spend, it comes down to the new leadership. Warners’ executives held an emergency meeting about the fate of “The Flash” in April, but that was just before the creation of Warner Bros. Discovery and the installment of David Zaslav — not to mention new studio chiefs Michael De Luca and Pamela Abdy, who take over for Toby Emmerich after the July 4th holiday.

Zaslav will not only weigh the ROI for keeping or replacing Miller, but also how much he’s willing to add to his bottom line. (He’s promised $3 billion in post-merger savings over the next two years.) He could decide it’s a lost cause and decline to throw good money after bad, which might mean a smaller marketing spend and an HBO Max debut — but that’s an ignominious start for a new, would-be theatrical franchise.

At this writing, we are 53 weeks away from the release date for “The Flash.” By my math, a year and a week is nowhere near enough time to make “The Flash” a franchise-shaping smash and Ezra Miller the full-throttle movie star that Warners desperately wants. Miller — wherever they may be — does not appear to be headed toward an apology or rehab or any other willing and enthusiastic desire to put this chapter behind them.

Warners would not respond to requests for comment for this story.
