Right?
Yeah. Sabotage.
Yes and it was about Dirty DEA agents.
So they kidnap Arnuld's wife?
I heard Mirelle Enos was the standout in this movie.

That was a small part but it was mainly about Ahnuld's team stealing money from a bust. The team included Detective Linder, Lucius Lyon, Spam Worthlessness and Alcide Herveaux. It wasn't a terrible movie but I only watched it once and it's pretty much a typical Ahnuld movie which is a weird thing to mix with Ayer's style.

Nah, he's just taking an extended hiatus until Cameron finally fulfills that franchise promise Sam earned on Cameron's casting couch all those years ago....Err I mean the job he earned through his amazing portrayal as a 7 foot smurf.

3:10 to Yuma (2007 remake)
Ben Foster damn near stole the show, from Crowe and Bale.
It's a shame he's not a bigger star.

The first time I took notice of Foster, was in the thriller Hostage.
Dude even managed to standout in 30 Days of Night, for the short time he was on screen.

Hostage. The Bruce Willis flick? Haven't seen that in ages. Don't remember him at all. Having said that, I don't remember much of any of it.

I first became aware of both Ben Foster and Jewel Staite from a Canadian series in the mid-90s called Flash Forward when Ben was maybe 14. I seem to remember it only ran for one season but Disney being the whores that they are re-aired the episodes constantly. I next saw him in stuff like Liberty Heights, Freaks and Geeks, Bang Bang You're Dead and The Punisher but I'm fairly certain he's been working very steadily over the last 20 years cause not a lot of time ever seems to pass before I see him in something else.

Had a quick look at Hostage's wiki page, and noticed it had Johnathan Tucker in it as well. I really have forgotten about that movie. Now added to my Amazon cart.

Yeah John Tucker and Marshall Allman are brothers and Ben was their lunatic partner with the long black hair and psychotic tendencies.

Yep. Now it's coming back to me. The only thing I could remember about the movie was the initial hostage scene that goes tits up.
Will be good to revisit it.
Ben seems to have a knack for playing unbalanced characters.

Hostage is an underrated thriller.
Bruce Willis turned in a solid performance, think his eldest daughter Rumer played his kid as well.

I watched it about a year ago for the first time since release and it was still good. I typically don't revisit Bruce Willis movies so it took me a long time to get back around to it but Tucker and Foster make it worth watching.

The Black Donnelly's
#3 in my all-time top 5 TV show's that needed just one more season - right behind Deadwood, and My Name Is Earl. Unfortunately, Black Donnelly's only got the one season. Tucker was fucking fantastic.

FB, John Tucker is a series regular on the DirecTV series Kingdom starring alongside Kiele Sanchez and Frank Grillo. They're two seasons in with a third premiering this Summer.
Black Donnellys had such a great cast but one of the biggest OH HELL NO series cliffhangers ever. NBC just never stopped taking my favorites from me way too soon.

They film in SoCal so it's a very bright series with a lot of beach scenes that needs to be watched in HD. Also the fights are great and you want to make sure all the blood looks it's best. In the mean time more episodes of the series can stack up for ya. I believe DirecTV plans to keep Kingdom going for several more years. It was given a two season renewal last go round anyways.

I'm the only person I know who has even seen Kingdom, I wish more people were talking about it. But Bloodlines is something I've been hearing about for awhile and it's nearly always about Mendelshon and that seems to often be the case when he's involved.

I watched Kung Fu Panda 3 yesterday. Id give it a 7.8 out of 10. Not quite an 8. 8 would be the first two Kung Fu Pandas.
The movie was pretty dialogue-heavy in the middle which caused me to start dozing off. The recliner seats in my theater didnt help!
The end was pretty good. I like how they always tie in the major lesson into the story.
I dont think it is theater-worthy but its definitely blu-worthy.

Watched Ride Along for the first time over the weekend.
A paint-by-numbers buddy-cop flick, yet Kevin Hart is fucking hilarious. Turns what would be an average flick at best, into the funniest comedy I've seen in ages.

"Daddy's Home" and "Sisters".
Sisters was the clear winner as I didn't care for Home or find it funny at all while I laughed a lot during Sisters, Poehler and Fey are always great together.

Re: Movies You've Watched Recently
The new Point Break, it felt like PB in name only. Nothing about this reminded me of the original besides the surprise cameo by James LeGross and a few key moments they tried to duplicate from the original. They thought going bigger would make the movie better but all they did was film extreme looking stunts and then CGI their actors into them, even the surfing was a CGI mess. I wanted to like this because of how many hundreds of times I've seen the original but there is no repeat value in the new Point Break for me. They wasted all the talent in this movie with Edgar and Teresa and focused on the new Jai Courtney, Luke Bracey.

Concussion, great movie with amazing performance from Will Smith. He did a great job on the Nigerian accent I thought, it may not be perfect but it was convincing. This is a movie that all Football fans will hate. I'm not into Football so I watched it objectively. lol! It's ugly how the NFL kept denying the study of CTE in relation to Football but at least they came clean eventually. Good movie that's worth checking out.
I gotta say, I'm wondering now why Will Smith wasn't at least nominated for this movie. I mean, it's not a big deal but I think he deserved a nomination at the very least.

Yeah, I'm also a bit disappointed with his career trajectory as of late. I love what he does with HitRecord, I just wish he had some good starring roles. I did like The Walk, but I wasn't super excited about it. I liked Don Jon, I'd like to see him direct again.

He's a great actor but he makes really odd choices cause he's so damned "artistic". Ryan Gosling is another guy who seemed like he was headed for mega stardom at the same time and then has gone on to make even weirder choices in the indie circuit. Both are guys who could become A-Listers in huge projects at any point but they continuously choose not to.

Lost River airs constantly on Cinemax and it might be one of the worst movies I've ever struggled through. I knew it would be bad because that all I'd heard ahead of time but I went in expecting a car crash and found a train derailment. Avoid it. Gosling has that buddy comedy with Crowe and he's supposed to co-star with Father Time in Blade Runner 2 so who knows how those will pan for his career but at this point it can't do much worse. As for Only God Forgives, well maybe he will but I won't Refn.
I think Gosling and JGL are missing out by not doing cable by now.
