Wheelman (Frank Grillo / Garret Dillahunt) (October 20 @ Netflix)
Frank Grillo stars as the wheelman, a getaway driver thrust into a high STAKES race-to-survive after a bank robbery goes terribly wrong. The film will be released on Netflix on October 20, 2017 with a supporting cast that includes Garret Dillahunt, Caitlin Carmichael, Wendy Moniz, John Cenatiempo, Slaine and William Xifaras..

Apparently it's all action with no talking.

Watched this tonight. Pretty good, but short. Another 80 minute flick. There could have been a little more meat to the story, but all in all it was a good watch.
Grillo was great. Unfortunately Dillahunt is only in it for a few minutes.

SPOILERS, Russ, GEEEEZ!!! WTF
Just kidding. As of this post, I wasn't even familiar with the name but I just googled and I know his face. I recognize him as Simon on Burn Notice and in the movie where his head exploded in a microwave.

With an 80 minute run time, nobody but Grillo probably gets more than a few minutes.

Just finished this. Not a bad flick. As Russ said, there could have been a little more backstory to Wheelman's situation but all in all I think it was fun. I like how the film just starts and ends. It could have been filmed in real time. Too bad it wasn't because it would be pretty cool if it was.

I just watched it and I agree, the backstory was really the only thing that was missing. Grillo was great with most scenes being just him and the phone. I love films like this where the movie takes place in one setting, a car in this case. Phone Booth, Locke, Buried, and The Hateful Eight. It can get intense depending on the dialogue and plot. So, I enjoyed this movie overall.

Is anybody gonna check out Stephen King's "1922" with Tom Jane? It also just hit Netflix this week.
If you're into contained action films, have you seen Free Fire? The whole film takes place in a warehouse.

Free Fire very much looks and feels like a vintage 70's shoot em up. It was a lot better than I expected it to be and there are quite a few amusing characters.

1922 popped up in my feed the other day. Will be checking it out.
Free Fire not available here.
