I'd wait on it, the second season was announced pretty recently as being delayed until Summer 2018 while Donald and Zazie make movies.

‘Deadpool’ Animated Series Co-Created by Donald Glover Lands at FXX
Deadpool” is heading to TV — in animated form.

FXX is working on an animated series for Marvel’s “Deadpool,” which will be created by Donald Glover and Stephen GloverVariety has learned.

The untitled show has been given a straight-to-series order, with a 10-episode first season expected to debut in 2018.

“Atlanta” creator and Golden Globe winner Donald Glover and his brother, “Atlanta” staff writer Stephen Glover, will serve as showrunners, executive producers and writers of the series. Marvel’s Jeph Loeb and Jim Chory are executive producers. The untitled series is produced by Marvel Television in association with FX Productions and ABC Signature Studios for FXX.

“How much more fun could this be? Deadpool, Donald and FX – the perfect fit for the Merc with the Mouth,” Loeb said. “We’re thrilled that our relationship with FX that started with ‘Legion’ continues with what is sure to be a groundbreaking show in adult animation.”

20th Century Fox’s “Deadpool,” which hit theaters February 2016, was a gigantic box office success, raking in nearly $800 million internationally off of a $58 million budget. The movie cemented Ryan Reynolds as an A-list star and reinvigorated the R-rated superhero genre, alongside Hugh Jackman’s “Logan.” No word on whether Reynolds will be affiliated with the FXX series, which like the film, will also based off of the Marvel comic book heroes.

While no voice actors have been announced for the series, in a funny turn of events, “Atlanta” actress Zazie Beetz has been cast in the sequel film, “Deadpool 2,” as Domino.

Donald Glover is also already in the Marvel family. Coming up, he’ll star in “Spider-Man: Homecoming,” which will be released this July.

For FX Networks, the sure-to-be-hotly-anticipated series is the latest animated project for the FX portfolio, following the likes of the Emmy-nominated “Archer.” Last year, FX boss John Landgraf announced that FXX will be moving “really aggressively” into more animated series and short-form series in the adult animation format — and “Deadpool,” the raunchy comic book character, surely fits that bill.

‘Deadpool 2’ Sets Jack Kesy As Major Villain
Deadpool 2 ($786 Million Worldwide Box Office) Jack-k10
EXCLUSIVE: Fox has set Jack Kesy to play a major villain in Deadpool 2. While insiders said it isn’t entirely clear which baddie he will play, sources have pinpointed a character called Black Bob. In the comics, he is a nemesis in the X-Men universe, a Dublin-born mutant who can manipulate, bond with, and project energy through plant life. He is also capable of issuing concussive blasts with a wooden object, usually a shillelagh. The David Leitch-directed Deadpool 2 is set for release June 1, 2018, with Ryan Reynolds reprising his role as the Merc with the Mouth, and hopes high after the original grossed $783 million to become the highest ever grossing R rated film worldwide. Josh Brolin has already been set to play the principal villain, Cable. Morena Baccarin is back as Deadpool’s love interest Vanessa, Leslie Uggams as Blind Al, Stefan Kapacic as the metallic Colossus and Brianna Hildebrand as Negasonic Teenage Warhead, perhaps the coolest sounding superhero in the Marvel universe.

Kesy might be best known for playing Gabriel Bollivar in the TV series The Strain, a goth rock star who was one of the early plane passengers infected with the virus that turn them into vampires. He was plenty creepy. He will next be seen in Baywatch, opening for Memorial Day weekend, and the Nicolai Fuglsig-directed ensemble of Horse Soldiers, which stars Chris Hemsworth, Michael Shannon and Michael Pena.

Cause for "comedic effect" they think it's funny that Cable needs his teddy bear to sleep even though he's a bad ass assassin.

‘Deadpool 2’ Stunt Person Dies on Set in Motorcycle Accident
A stunt person was killed on the set of “Deadpool 2” Monday morning after a trick involving a motorcycle went wrong.

The sequel to “Deadpool” is currently filming in Vancouver. Production began in late June.

“Vancouver Police can confirm that a female stunt driver has died on the set of ‘Deadpool’ during a stunt on a motorcycle,” the Vancouver PD said in a statement.

A spokesman for Fox did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

According to Ben Miljure, a reporter with local news station CTV Vancouver, the stuntwoman was carried onto an Advanced Life Support ambulance. The vehicle stayed at the scene for about 45 minutes, and then drove off without turning on its lights or sirens.

The news follows another stunt accident reported by TMZ on Sunday when Tom Cruise crashed into a wall while filming “Mission: Impossible 6,” and appeared to walk away with a limp. The extent of his injuries are currently unknown.

Way too many stunt fatalities of late, it used to be a very rare thing but now it's happening more often. Productions are being rushed and lives are being lost at the sacrifice of safety

UPDATED with details and statements, 12:20 PM: A female stunt driver who was killed today in a motorcycle crash on the set of Deadpool 2 was a motocross expert who was doing her first film as a stunt performer, Deadline has learned. A source close to the situation said woman had been rehearsing the stunt all day Saturday and was not wearing a helmet because the character she was portraying did not wear one in the scene.

'Deadpool 2' Set Death Likely Could Have Been Prevented
Deadpool 2 ($786 Million Worldwide Box Office) Deadpo10

In the days leading up to the Deadpool 2 motorcycle stunt that killed racer S.J. Harris on Aug. 14 in Vancouver, the crew was said to be growing increasingly agitated and nervous about the potential for something to go wrong.

The 20th Century Fox sequel’s producers had been exerting pressure to have the 40-year-old Harris, who had raced professionally but had never worked on a film, perform that day’s stunt because, as an African-American, she was a believable stand-in for Zazie Beetz, who portrays Domino in the film. But several crewmembers warned the producers that Harris wasn’t ready, a production source tells The Hollywood Reporter.

“She was improving, but I was watching her and, oh my God, I thought, ‘It’s just a matter of time before she crashes into a wall or runs somebody over,’” says one stunt performer who had been training Harris the day before the crash that killed her. A member of the stunt team alerted the movie’s producers to these concerns but was ignored, according to the source who trained Harris.

From a technical perspective, the stunt was relatively straightforward. It called for a rider sitting astride a Ducati 939 Hyperstrada motorcycle to exit a building, descend a ramp over three small stairs and stop on a nearby landing. For a stunt professional, it would have been a cinch. But Harris had never even been on a film shoot before.

And the crash occurred on the first live take. The accident has drawn outrage and tough questions from the Hollywood stunt community. “The producers put pressure to have somebody of the same sex and ethnicity in a position she wasn’t qualified to be in,” says Conrad Palmisano, a veteran stunt coordinator and second unit director with 47 years in the entertainment industry, including credits on Sleepless in Seattle and 21 Jump Street. Palmisano says he has been in close touch with several people who were on the Deadpool 2 set that day. “The stunt coordinators caved to the pressure. All the stunt people could do was take it to their higher-ups. They’re going to follow their chain of command.”

Fox and a rep for Deadpool 2 director David Leitch (himself a former stunt coordinator) declined to comment. The film restarted production days after the accident and is on track for its June 1 release.

According to a preliminary report issued by WorkSafeBC, the Canadian equivalent of OSHA, Harris “continued driving beyond the planned stopping spot on the stairway landing and continued to drive down a second ramp built over the bottom stairs and across the roadway.” Still astride the motorcycle, the report continues, Harris rode into a concrete sidewalk curb, where she “was thrown off the motorcycle and propelled through a plate-glass window of a building.”

Several people were forced to jump out of the way of the speeding bike. Immediately after she crashed, many ran over to offer first aid and saw that Harris was grievously injured, according to people on the set.

Whatever happened, those who had worked closely with Harris have apparently come to the conclusion that it was likely rider error. The question for investigators is, why was she put in this position? She had crashed the bike on two separate occasions days before the accident, say two people familiar with the shoot.

And Harris was the second person enlisted to do the job, as the production had earlier hired another woman who hadn’t performed well on the motorcycle in preparation for the stunt, a source says.

“If the movie’s producers had to go outside of the normal stunt community to find someone who was both qualified and resembles the actress, that speaks to a problem of lack of diversity of stunt performers,” says Darnell Hunt, the dean of Social Sciences at UCLA who helps produce the annual “Hollywood Diversity Report,” which comes out before the Oscars every year.

Harris’ death is the second fatal on-set accident in less than a month. In July, stuntman John Bernecker was killed when he fell off a warehouse balcony on the Georgia set of The Walking Dead. Before that, the last on-set fatality occurred in spring 2014 during filming of Midnight Rider, when camerawoman Sarah Jones was killed by a train on a bridge trestle, also in Georgia. Jones’ death inspired a large community of safety-minded professionals to gather regularly online to monitor safety-related incidents.

“I cringed every time she went out,” says the person who had been working with Harris, “Like, when is she going to crash?” This person eventually left the set and told the producers she wanted nothing more to do with the movie. “They were warned, yes!”

She had no idea what she was doing, the crew was warned by multiple experienced people that she had no idea what she was doing but she looked the part and that was good enough? And then the completely inexperienced rider didn't speak up for herself at any point, she just rode to her death??? Holy shit... Shocked Shocked Shocked

Deadpool 2 Won't Recast or Cut T.J. Miller Following Misconduct Claims
Sexual misconduct allegations exploded in Hollywood at the end of last year and many prominent members of the entertainment industry lost their jobs as a result. However, it looks like comedian T.J. Miller will remain in Deadpool 2 despite the sexual assault accusations against him. It could end up as a controversial move for the production, but it may go unnoticed since Miller does not have a starring role in the movie. Ridley Scott made the decision to completely remove Kevin Spacey's starring role from All the Money in the World and replaced him at the very last minute with Christopher Plummer.

In a new interview with Rotten Tomatoes, X-Men franchise producer Lauren Shuler Donner revealed that Deadpool 2 is almost complete. And since the movie is so close to being finished, it looks like T.J. Miller, despite the serious allegations, will not be recast. When asked about the situation directly, Donner said, "We're in the final editing. I don't think so."

The former Silicon Valley star played a small part in the first Deadpool movie, but he was a fan-favorite and provided good back and forth on-screen comedic chemistry with Ryan Reynolds.

Allegations of violent sexual misconduct have been floating around under the surface for years for T.J. Miller, but it was last December when a woman came forward to share her story of sexual assault at the hands of the actor in the early 2000s. In the years since, Miller has attempted to address the lingering allegations by occasionally making light of them. He's privately joked about committing violence against a woman in his past, according to three sources in the comedy world. Miller's easy-going demeanor about such serious allegations has prompted many professionals to refuse to work with the comedian.

T.J. Miller and his wife released a joint statement denying the allegations and claim that the victim had tried to break up their relationship in the past. The more that Miller and his wife pushed back, more people came forward to corroborate the accusations either from Miller's own mouth or from friends of the victim. As it stands, the allegations, which include punching a woman in the face in addition to rape, will not have an effect on the final cut of Deadpool 2.

Deadpool 2 is set to hit theaters on June 1st, 2018 and stars Ryan Reynolds as Deadpool, Josh Brolin as Cable, and Zazie Beetz as Domino. T.J. Miller will reprise his role as Weasel. There have been no further comments on the subject of Miller's sexual assault allegations from anybody else in the Deadpool camp, but it looks like the comedian's scenes are safe for now. Even though his scenes will not all be cut out, many could still end up on the cutting room floor due to the controversy. We'll just have to wait and see when the movie comes out later this year. You can read more about T.J. Miller's status in Deadpool 2 courtesy of Rotten Tomatoes.

I read about this recently. Situations like this is a "he said/she said" but if more than 1 woman came forward then I would absolutely believe it.

Hey, I don't know either of them personally. I don't believe her and I don't NOT believe her either. I'm not taking sides, just stating facts. He says it never happened and she says it did, where do you go from there?

His entire response to it has been way too relaxed and snarky, he's basically been making jokes and I've seen that predatory attitude many times in others just like him so I believe her.

Also he has forever tainted my beloved Silicon Valley and I will never forgive him. Evil or Very Mad Evil or Very Mad Evil or Very Mad Evil or Very Mad

Ah! I'm not perceptive to that kind of stuff so I wouldn't know.

Here lies the true reason you believe her.
