Trump is really ramping up his Twitter war with Germany. I think he won't be satisfied until he's annihilated every single foreign relationship Ahmurica has via his tweets before he vacates his puppet throne to Putin.

My mutual fund is on a tear ever since Trump took office.

Got a meeting with a recruiter today. He sent my resumé to a boutique firm. I hope everything is working out. I need to get the F out of my current one.

As long as people profit they don't care what he does but I can't wait to see what what they do when he costs them everything.

Forgive my country raisin but is a boutique firm some city boy way of sayin "$2k suits and six names on the door"?

A boutique firm is one which is smaller and provides specialized services. For example, I am a forensic accountant. The boutique I am looking into provides consulting (management consulting, forensic advisory, risk advisory) but is not a full-service accounting firm like the one in which I currently work. They don't provide bookkeepping, tax, or assurance services, for example.

Smaller firm is a relative term but I tend to think 200 people or less is like a boutique size. Compare that to the firm in which I am currently employed, we have over 200,000 employees worldwide.

If I can land this position, I'm hoping I can start ballin' in $2,000 suits. Shocked

When there is over 100 employees, it's no longer a firm it's a factory!

You really want $2k suits?

lol what's wrong with $2,000 suits? The suits I wear now are $1,000 a piece. I own three. Although I don't wear suits daily now but when I do, they are really nice. Not custom but pretty damn nice. I get my formal wear from Sarar. Turkish clothing company. Their suits and coats are fantastic. Very slim fitting and not baggy like stuff you'll find at Men's Wearhouse or Brooks Brothers. Plus, all my suits are double vented in the back. My preferred look.

With regard to your factory comment, yes, I agree. I feel like a tiny little disposable cog here. If I break, nothing will happen to the factory and it will just keep chugging along. I'm pretty much worthless here. Them's the breaks of working in a Big Four accounting firm.

I was watching a clip of Kingsman: The Secret Service and the secret phrase Eggsy uses is "Oxfords, not brogues". I knew it was about shoes butI looked up what that meant and spent about an hour watching a bunch of videos on dress shoes. "Oxfords, not brogues" is not always an accurate thing to say because an oxford can be a brogue. Yea.

Well the movie is ruined now, I never thought Kingsmen wouldn't be factually accurate 100% of the time. Someone better send Princess Tilde to my room while I think this over.

Good news Ahmuricans, now that Trump has recommitted to fulfill his promise to back out of the Paris Accords all those jobs you want you children to have in coal mines can be a reality! Yay Trump's Ahmurica! Coal and Oil are our future.

Somebody just hand the country over to Elon Musk already, I can't take this shit anymore. Kathy Griffin said it best....

Getting out of the Climate Agreement was a bad decision. Financially it might benefit us I guess but renewable energy is the future. Elon Musk must be pissed about this news after introducing those new solar roofs, hope they don't go up in price.

So, that's the pic that's gotten Kathy Griffin in trouble. lol Yeah, that was too much no matter what you think of Trump.

Due to the process of getting out of it, it can't actually happen until 2021. The only way Trump can get out of the Paris Accord is if he gets re-elected in 2020.

Two Dozen Lucchese Crime Family Members Arrested
Top-ranking members of the Lucchese crime family – including ruling boss Matthew Madonna and his second-in-command Steven Crea Sr. – were busted Wednesday on federal racketeering charges, including murder, authorities said.

Madonna and underboss Crea Sr., aka “Wonder Boy,” as well as consigliere Joseph DiNapoli, and four others – Steven Crea Jr., Dominic Truscello, John “Big John” Castelucci and Tindaro “Tino” Corso – who served as captains or acting captains were among 19 charged in a superseding indictment unsealed Wednesday.

Soldiers Joseph Venice, James “Jimmy the Jew” Maffucci, Joseph “Big Joe” and “Joey Glasses” Datello, Paul “Paulie Roast Beef” Cassano, Christopher Londonio and several others were also nabbed.

The crew of goodfellas was allegedly behind the 2013 murder of Michael Meldish, a former leader of the notorious Purple Gang, who did jobs for the Lucchese and Genovese families.

Meldish was found in his Lincoln LS with a gunshot wound to the head in The Bronx.

The mobsters, most of whom are Lucchese, are also accused in court papers of attempting to kill an unnamed member of the Bonanno crime family in 2012 who had offended Crea Sr. and trying to rub out a former witness last year.

They’re additionally charged with the attempted murder of reputed Bonanno soldier Enzo “The Baker” Stagno – whose nickname was derived from “The Godfather” character. Stagno was struck in the chest in 2013 as he made a phone call in his SUV near his Whitestone home.

Two of them, Londonio and Terrance Caldwell, were charged in Meldish’s death and Stagno’s attempted murder earlier this year and are currently in custody.

Michael Meldish was killed in 2013.

Madonna is serving as the family’s “street boss” in lieu of its formal boss, who’s serving a life sentence for murder and other crimes.

The 80-year-old wiseguy is currently locked up himself in Trenton state prison on a five-year sentence for his role in running an illegal gambling ring.

The slew of charges in the 30-page indictment also include dealing cocaine, heroin, oxycodone and marijuana, robbery, extortion, wire and mail fraud and money laundering.

Arraignments will take place Wednesday afternoon in White Plains federal court.

Crea served 34 months in prison after pleading guilty in 2004 to his role in a big-rigging scheme.

Lucchese Crime Family Funneled Millions From NY Hospital Project
The mob turned taxpayer-backed Bronx-Lebanon Hospital expansion into its own piggy bank.

Construction expenses at the hospital’s new nine-story outpatient center ballooned by some $5 million — with cash allegedly ending up in the pockets of the Lucchese crime family and hospital executives, The Post has learned.

Lucchese underboss Steven “Wonder Boy” Crea Sr. and associate Joseph Venice were charged with wire and mail fraud in connection with the project at “a major New York City hospital,” according to a federal indictment unsealed last week in a major mob takedown. But the document didn’t identify the hospital or reveal the scheme’s dirty details.

No Bronx-Lebanon executives were named in the indictment, but the federal probe, which began four years ago, is ongoing, and focused on hospital honchos whose palms may have been greased.

Crea, 69, had close ties to Sparrow Construction, the Bronx firm in charge of building the $42 million annex at Bronx-Lebanon. He was a regular visitor to the firm’s offices while the center was under construction, a source told The Post.

Crea worked for Sparrow before he was busted in a 2000 state racketeering case. At that time, he was considered the acting boss of the Luccheses.

Work began on the outpatient center in 2009 and was supposed to take 19 months. But the Health and Wellness Center wasn’t finished until 2014 and was plagued with cost overruns.

Sparrow was the general contractor and billed the hospital $26 million for only $21 million worth of work, sources told The Post.

The heating and ventilation system cost $2.3 million to install. Yet “the hospital still paid somebody $5 million” for it, the source said.

The alleged scheme was carried out through falsified invoices and change orders, the source said.

“The hospital didn’t question one change order,” the source said.

The bulk of the project was paid for through the sale of $36 million in state Dormitory Authority bonds. The hospital is paying back the Dormitory Authority over 25 years.

The 642-bed hospital serves mostly low-income patients. It nearly declared bankruptcy in the 1970s but the state bailed it out.

It receives about 60 percent of its revenue from the state Medicaid program, which amounted to $311.6 million last year, according to the state Health Department.

Yet it pays its execs handsomely.

Longtime CEO Miguel Fuentes’ total compensation came to $1.7 million in 2015, according to its latest tax filings. Fuentes lives a luxury lifestyle with a condominium on the Upper East Side and a Southampton retreat with a pool.

“We have no information whatsoever regarding the recently unsealed indictment,” a hospital spokesman told The Post.

Randy Silverstein, the head of Sparrow Construction, did not return a call seeking comment.

Probably because the Lucchese Crime family is responsible for most everything you've ever seen portrayed on film in relation to gangsters. They've been around for 100 years and are one of the original five families, so they've been inspiring a lot pop culture for some time and every few decades they get swept up in another major arrest sting so even more material comes to light for Hollywood.

In the classic mob film that you've never seen Goodfellas, Ray Liotta played the real life character of Henry Hill a gangster in the Lucchese family before Hill turned snitch like all mobsters eventually do and sent a bunch of them to prison in the 80's.

That Vin Diesel dramedy Find me Guilty where he played the mob snitch, another Lucchese Capo turned snitch.  Razz

Even Tony Soprano was based on Michael Traccetta a Capo for the Jersey branch of the Lucchese's.

Ex-MMA Fighter War Machine Gets Life in Prison for Attacking His Ex Adult Star Christie Mack
Former MMA fighter War Machine was sentenced to life in prison on Monday, after being found guilty of 29 counts against him stemming from an attack on his ex-girlfriend, porn star Christy Mack, a spokeswoman for the Clark County, Nevada, district attorney’s office told TheWrap.

War Machine, who was born Jonathan Paul Koppenhaver, will be eligible for parole in 36 years.

In March, the former MMA fighter was found guilty of kidnapping and sexual assault, along with a host of other counts, by a jury. However, the jury deadlocked on two attempted murder charges.

The fighter was accused of beating Mack in 2014. Mack tweeted out photos of her injuries, as well as an account of the attack, which was published by the Washington Post.

“At about 2 am Friday morning, Jon Koppenhaver arrived unannounced to my home in Las Vegas, NV, after he broke up with me in May, he moved out of my house and back to San Diego,” Mack tweeted at the time. “When he arrived, he found myself and one other fully clothed and unarmed in the house. Without a single word spoken, he began beating my friend; once he was finished, he sent my friend away and turned his attention to me.”

Mack went on to say that the fighter “made me undress and shower in front of him, then dragged me out and beat my face. I have no recollection of how many times I was hit, I just know my injuries that resulted from my beating.”

Among the injuries that Mack said she sustained were “18 broken bones around my eyes,” a broken nose and missing teeth.

When the attack first happened in 2014 we discussed it quite a bit I didn't hear anything about him after the arrest so to see an amazing sentencing like this today is pretty great but I've seen Christie a few times since all her surgeries after she returned to adult film work and you could still see the damage he inflicted. I hope he enjoys his life in a cage.

Yep. Tin roof. Roof to ceiling distance of about 5 inches, and zero insulation. Plus it's a low ceiling. Maybe 12ft high from the floor.

Not as far as I like, and the massive vacant land I had to one side is now being developed. I'll be moving once I get a full-time job again. Getting too crowded for my tastes.

Yahoo Shareholders Officially Approve Verizon Deal, Set to Close June 13
Yahoo announced that stockholders have approved the sale to Verizon of the company’s operating business, in a deal worth about $4.5 billion, with the transaction expected to close on Tuesday, June 13.

As previously announced, following the closing of the deal, Yahoo will change its name to “Altaba Inc.,” which will comprise ownership stakes in Alibaba Group and Yahoo Japan.

Verizon plans to lay off 15% of the combined workforce of AOL and Yahoo, once the $4.5 billion deal for Yahoo’s web assets closes, Variety has confirmed.

Given that AOL-Yahoo together have about 14,000 employees, around 2,100 jobs are set to be eliminated. The 15% layoff figure was first reported by TechCrunch, which is owned by AOL; an earlier Recode report pegged the number of layoffs at up to 1,000.

Oh sure, Altaba rolls right off the tongue like Yahoo..... Rolling Eyes

Pretty sure it's pronounced exactly the way it's spelled.

I was reading the news and saw a bunch of "tributes" to Adam West and didn't put two and two together until I saw one article which stated he passed away. It sucks he was never really recognized for much more than his Batman role.... at least according to this documentary I saw about him.

All only ever knew him from random episodes of Batman and Family Guy.
