My fears about Justin Lin directing, have been realized.

The fuck? Nice action but what's the movie about? Is that supposed to be an actual trailer or teaser?

That sucks! I thought he'd play a Captain or something, guess he's a baddie.

He was always announced as the villain and he wanted to play something very different than he has before so he became an alien.

Good for him I guess. But people won't know it's him unless pointed out.

I figured it out by his voice, I didn't even need to be looking at the screen to recognize him. I've heard him do all kinds of different accents so the moment the character spoke I knew who that was. I'm perfectly fine with him being under makeup because I was expecting him to be full on Klingon since casting.

That trailer just gave me flashbacks to the night I watched 78 minutes of Fast Seven.

It even had a "run on the top of something and jump as it's falling off a cliff, just grabbing the edge of it in time." scene.

I'm liking how we are finally getting in more of the alien territory and seeing more aliens but not liking how it's FF in space.

Anton Yelchin Dies In Car Accident At Age 27
Anton Yelchin, best known for portraying Ensign Paval Chekov in the Star Trek reboot series as well as for roles in the remake of Fright Night, Terminator Salvation, Jim Jarmush’s Only Lovers Left Alive, and the Stephen King adaptation Hearts In Atlantis, is dead following an unexplained car accident last night in his Los Angeles home. The actor was reportedly found this morning by friends, pinned by his car against the wall of his driveway apparently crushed to death. No foul play is suspected.
“Actor Anton Yelchin was killed in a fatal traffic collision early this morning. His family requests you respect their privacy at this time,” his publicist, Jennifer Allen said in a statement.
Born in Leningrad, Russia in 1989 to parents who were stars of Russia’s Ice Ballet for 15 years, Yelchin and his family immigrated to the United States as political refugees that same year. Yelchin subsequently grew up in Los Angeles, attending Tarzana’s Sherman Oaks Center for Enriched Studies and in 2007, the University of Southern California. His entry into acting came at age 9 in the indie film A Man is Mostly Water, with other early roles including in Delivering Milo, House of D, and the miniseries Taken.
His first major recognition as an actor came in 2001 when he played the younger version of Bobby Garfield, played as an adult by David Morse, in Hearts in Atlantis.

The details of his death have come out and my gods what horrible and painful way to go..
On June 18, 2016, Yelchin was due to meet friends for a rehearsal. After not hearing from him for hours, his friends went to his home in Studio City at 1 a.m. and found Yelchin pinned between his car and a brick wall. His driveway is on an incline and his car was found still running and in neutral. The following day he was pronounced dead. He was 27.

Yeah, it's horrible. Just incredibly sad. I can't imagine what his cast mates are thinking right now.

Karl Urban and Jon Cho both tweeted about it earlier, both seemed very upset.

She looks like the girl in the movie. Anyway, best trailer out of all 3. The first one sucked, the second was ok.

‘Star Trek 4’ Announced With Chris Hemsworth
While Star Trek Beyond opens in theaters this week, producer J.J. Abrams is already planning a fourth entry in the rebooted franchise. Today came official word that Paramount Pictures, Skydance and Bad Robot will bring the crew of the U.S.S. Enterprise back to the big screen for another voyage – with one new interesting development: Chris Pine’s Captain Kirk will cross paths with the man he never had a chance to meet, but whose legacy has haunted him since the day he was born: his father. Chris Hemsworth, who appeared in 2009’s Star Trek, will return to the space saga as George Kirk, starring alongside Pine with the remaining cast expected to return. It was J.J. Abrams who originally broke the news, revealing to Access Hollywood’s Scott Mantz that Chris Hemsworth would in fact return. The series’ third film, Star Trek Beyond directed by Justin Lin will open in theaters this Friday, July 22.

When I read that I thought "Well that's the death of Star Trek" because Hemsworth's career is going down faster than Dane Cook on a casting couch.

I didn't think they'd make more than 3.

I was worried because Abrams didn't direct this one like the other 2 and I liked the last 2 but I guess Justin Lin did a great job. Simon Pegg also wrote this and the guy is a nerd so he knows his stuff, I might go check this out.

Watched this tonight, this was a fun movie. I don't think it was better than the 2nd but it was still enjoyable and entertaining.
