The Nice Guys ($36,102,316)
“The Nice Guys” takes place in 1970s Los Angeles, when down-on-his-luck private eye Holland March (Gosling) and hired leg-breaker Jackson Healy (Crowe) must work together to solve the case of a missing girl and the seemingly unrelated death of a porn star. During their investigation, they uncover a shocking conspiracy that reaches up to the highest circles of power.

This looks funny as hell. Finally, Gosling is doing something I enjoy. Honestly, his track lately.....not good. But this is a nice change and he's also got The Big Short coming up as well.

I've been hearing this is reminiscent of Black's The Long Kiss Goodnight and Kiss Kiss Bang Bang.

This was as funny as I thought it would be. I liked it. I don't think I've seen Crowe in a comedy before but Gosling has been doing some great funny movies lately and it suits him. Cracked me up a lot in this movie. I wouldn't mind a sequel, that's how much fun this movie was.

"Mystery, Alaska" was a fairly funny movie from what I remember though it was much more of a drama than a comedy.
Also depending on your perspective, Noah was hilarious.

Mystery, Alaska was funny. I need to give that another viewing. He did The Sum of Us in Australia back in the 90's. Plays a gay dude. Pretty funny (if you enjoy Australian humour).

The only Australian comedies they ever show on cable are about cross dressers or gay couples and it nearly always stars Hugo Weaving. Unless it's a Yahoo Serious movie...
I do not get your people's humor.

I loved it, much better than expected. I hate Crowe but didn't mind him at all. Everyone was great. Story was much better and more complicated than I expected, should've known better.
