Resident Evil: The Final Chapter (January 27, 2017)

The cast of the closing chapter of Screen Gems’ Resident Evil franchise has grown with the addition of Iain Glen, Shawn Roberts, Ruby Rose, Eoin Macken, and William Levy. The film stars Milla Jovovich and Ali Larter, with Paul W.S. Anderson directing his script. Shooting starts this month in South Africa.

Picking up immediately after the events in Resident Evil: Retribution, humanity is on its last legs after Alice is betrayed by Wesker in Washington D.C. As the only survivor of what was meant to be humanity’s final stand against the undead hordes, Alice must return to where the nightmare began – Raccoon City, where the Umbrella Corporation is gathering its forces for a final strike against the only remaining survivors of the apocalypse.

In a race against time Alice will join forces with old friends, and an unlikely ally, in an action packed battle with undead hordes and new mutant monsters. Between losing her superhuman abilities and Umbrella’s impending attack, this will be Alice’s most difficult adventure as she fights to save humanity, which is on the brink of oblivion.

Surprised that it took this long to make the final one though. The last one ended in a cliff hangers and we've been hanging ever since. lol!

Still, I'm a completist and I will have to watch Retribution and Afterlife. In the whole series, I liked Extinction best.

WyldeMan wrote:It hasn't really been that long, they've always come out at a consistent pace but the wait will be the longest for the final chapter at about four and a half years after Retribution. Though I only saw Retribution one time and it didn't exactly leave me clamoring for another one right away, my palette needed a few more years to cleanse that one.
