My whole county was hit by massive windstorms yesterday that blacked out thousands of homes. We lost power about noon yesterday and it came back around 4am this morning. A power outage is a hugely boring ordeal when you're not out camping and you're just sitting at home in the dark, lol.

Seriously, just not into weddings. I've been to 2 this year so far. Despite not wanting to go, it was kind of fun. Not as bad as I thought it would be. Most of my peers were buzzed or drunk that there were no real conversations to be had. I did meet a few nice people though.

Yeah, sucks when that happens. Have you considered solar panels? Not for just emergencies but reduced electric bills. I hope to one day get my own place and have enough to power the entire house. Right now, the electric bill we get is $120-$250 during the winter. Too fucking much! And there's other stuff that can do that too obviously, you have to consider weather leaks and all that but still...

I'm not a fan of weddings because I'm not really a fan of marriage in general, with that said I am however a big fan of bridesmaids and the other single woman who attend them.

God damn, the Falling Skies series finale that aired last night sucked a bag of dicks.
Five years of loyal viewing and that was it? Felt like a terrible rushed mid-season finale not the end of a five year story. Completely ruined any possible re-watch value that show ever had for me.

Yeah Pope unfortunately made it to the series finale while I wanted him gone years ago. But that last three minutes, they tried to give a happy ending to a war series and wrap it all up in three minutes so it was really butchered and poorly executed. What sucks is that had even been their planned ending for five years and it felt like an entire other hour should have been given.

Wrestling Legend ‘Superfly’ Jimmy Snuka Charged With 1983 Murder of Girlfriend
Wrestling legend “Superfly” Jimmy Snuka has been charged with third-degree murder and involuntary manslaughter stemming from the death of his girlfriend, the district attorney’s office in Lehigh County, Pennsylvania, told TheWrap on Tuesday.
Snuka, 72, is believed to have killed his girlfriend, Nancy L. Argentino, in 1983. Argentino was 23 at the time of her death.
The former wrestler, of Camden County, New Jersey, will turn himself into Lehigh County authorities, and will surrender his passport.
Bail has been set at $100,000.
During a press conference Tuesday, Lehigh County District Attorney James B. Martin said that he was approached by Argentino’s sisters in 2013, after which he ordered a preliminary review of the investigative file in the case, along with all evidence that had been gathered since 1983.
According to the DA’s office, paramedics from the Allentown suburb of Whitehall Township responded to a call and arrived at a motel room to find a police officer, Snuka and two other wrestlers at the scene.
Argentino was lying on her back on the bed unconscious and showing indications of a head injury and shock. Emergency procedures were taken but she never regained consciousness and was later pronounced dead.
Snuka provided “various explanations” to medical personnel, “including that he and Argentino were arguing and that he struck her and that she fell and hit her head.”
An autopsy concluded that Argentino’s death was due to craniocerebral injuries, “the pattern of which is consistent with a moving head striking a stationary object.”
The autopsy report continued, “The multiplicity of and magnitude of the injuries may even be suggestive of ‘mate’ abuse.”
A grand jury found that Snuka gave varying accounts of the events leading up to Argentino’s death, including that they were “clowning around, that they “must have wrestled a little too much.”
At the time of Argentino’s death, Snuka had a wife and four children in North Carolina, the district attorney’s office said.
During the investigation, the grand jury heard evidence that Snuka had assaulted Argentino in Syracuse, New York, four months before her death. In that incident, Snuka allegedly dragged Argentino by the hair down the hall, causing her to be hospitalized for injuries to her head and scalp. Snuka was charged with assault and other offenses in that instance, but pleaded guilty to a reduced charge, paying a fine.
The investigation also took into consideration excerpts from Snuka’s 2012 autobiography, “Superfly: The Jimmy Snuka Story,” specifically, passages in which he discussed alcohol, steroid and cocaine use and wrote, “in 1983, my personal life started getting a little crazy.”
“It is our determination that the weight of the evidence clearly indicates that James Snuka repeatedly assaulted Nancy Argentino on May 10, 1983, and then allowed her to lie in their bed at the George Washington Motor Lodge without obtaining the necessary medical attention,” the grand jury concluded, adding, “his assaultive acts and his failure to act to obtain medical attention resulted in her death.”
News broke last month that Snuka is battling stomach cancer.

Found this from a couple years ago.
Snuka, now 70 and living in New Jersey, maintains Nancy Argentino fell and hit her head when they stopped along the highway to go to the bathroom on their way to Allentown. He wrote in his 2012 autobiography that her death, and persistent rumors that he is to blame, ruined his life.
According to police records reviewed by The Morning Call, Snuka told the responding police officer and four hospital employees that he shoved Argentino, causing her to hit her head. Those accounts differ from what Snuka told detectives in his official interview after Argentino's death, when he insisted she slipped on the side of the highway.
"That's the story he hung with the best," said Gerry Procanyn, a former Whitehall detective who remembers standing in the hotel room when Argentino was hurried to the hospital.
The autopsy results showed Argentino, who Snuka claimed hit her head on concrete, had no gravel or similar dirt particles on her head or scalp.
Officially, Procanyn is still investigating the case as a detective for the Lehigh County district attorney's office. But in reality, it's been years since he's received any new information.

Just read about Snooka this morning. Pretty wild crap. He's 70 now so he likely won't even last long in jail if he is guilty.

Singer Avril Lavinge and Nickelback's Chad Kroeger have split. They were married for two years.
She was previously married to Sum 41 frontman Deryck Whibley. That marriage lasted three yrs.
Are Nickelback still together?

False alarm. Just a glitch in the matrix. Had been talking to an old acquaintance, then last night when I went to reply, everything was gone. Her name wouldn't come up anywhere. Thought I'd been blocked. Just had a look and everything is restored.

Maybe she saw the stats on her most frequent profile visitors and you topped the list freaking her out, then after 24 hours she decided she liked the attention and allowed you access again cause she wants you.

Ohhh shit.........this story took a bit of a turn.
Police: 11-year-old boy fatally shoots intruder in Missouri
ST. LOUIS (AP) - St. Louis County police say an 11-year-old boy fatally shot a 16-year-old intruder during a home invasion, but some neighbors take issue with that account.
Officers responded Thursday afternoon to a report of a shooting at a north St. Louis County home, Police Sgt. Brian Schellman told The Associated Press.
Police believe two suspects had tried to break into the modest ranch-style home two times earlier in the day. On the third try, they were able to enter through the front door, Schellman said. There were no signs of forced entry.
Soon after the 16-year-old entered, the 11-year-old fired a single shot that struck him in the head, Schellman said. The teenager's body was found in the front foyer, and Schellman said the shot may have scared away the second suspect, who was taken into custody a short time later.
But some neighbors told the St. Louis Post-Dispatch that they witnessed the shooting and there was no break-in.
Donna Jackson told the newspaper that she saw the 11-year-old shoot the 16-year-old at point-blank range as they talked near front door.
"It was not a break-in," Jackson, 45, said. "He shot him in the head."
Jazmyne Clark, 18, who lives two doors down from the shooting, said the 11-year-old was on the front porch when he told the 16-year-old to approach him. When the 16-year-old reached the front door, the younger boy shot him, Clark said.
"He was never in the house," Clark said. "He wasn't breaking in at all. He was just trying to sell him his phone."
But Sharon Taylor, who lives next door to where the shooting happened and said she is a cousin of the 11-year-old's father, said the boy is not a troublemaker. She doubted the break-in story, however, calling it unlikely to happen in the middle of the day.
Schellman encouraged anyone with information to contact police.
The 11-year-old and his 4-year-old sister were not hurt. Their mother wasn't home during the incident but is cooperating with an investigation, Schellman said.

If you're like me and keep several large rolls of plastic sheeting and several rolls of tape in the garage just in case, then you'd be covered but yes sheets work too.

Amazing gif response choice.
Now I'll give clarification after proper time of fearing me. I do a lot of painting and sand blasting in the garage so I cover a lot of my stuff like I'm Dexter because the last thing you want is to fill up your very expensive power tools fill paint and sand.
But I do also like to keep those supplies around for the times I feel like listening to some Huey Lewis and the News.

I noticed something weird about my car. When I have my air conditioning on, my shifts feel clunky when I go from 1-2 or 2-3. Not like my gearbox feels messed up, I mean the transmission feels like it clunks. I can feel it. When my air conditioning is off, my shifts are as smooth as butter. Has anyone else experienced this kind of shifting before when the AC is on?

That happens with mine too. I thought that was normal? I do have a check engine light on mine though and my Oxygen Sensor needs to be replaced, it's been like that for a while.

Thanks, UM. I guess it kind of is normal. I just Googled it and a Honda Civic forum had thread about it. When I push the clutch pedal it, I can feel the clunking. I suppose I have to figure out how to drive smoother. Maybe feather the clutch a tiny bit more when I shift.

Joey, the only thing I could think of causing this would be that your AC Compressor failing and that is putting a load on the engine which is whats causing the vibration you feel when you turn the AC on. Are you hearing actual noise or feeling vibration and clunkiness in the pedal? If it only happens with your AC then it's got to be the compressor. They are fairly expensive parts in newer cars, I'm talking probably $700 minimum unless you've still got a warranty. Though I think it may be cheaper with Honda because I believe that was a fairly common problem in quite a few years for them. This sis obviously something you'd want to have an actual mechanic verify but it's the only thing I know of that causes it short of an electrical switch somewhere.
UltimateMarvel wrote:That happens with mine too. I thought that was normal? I do have a check engine light on mine though and my Oxygen Sensor needs to be replaced, it's been like that for a while.
No that is not normal Abe....
As for your 02 sensor that would affect your fuel economy and can cause hesitation and stalling if the its plugged enough or fouled. They're usually very easy to fix in both time and money and can show a big improvement in the way your ride runs. Most people drive around with them fouled out for years and while it's not ideal, it's not going to kill your car either but it will fuck up your fuel mix until it's fixed.

Re: Random Thoughts
It only happens at certain RPM shifts and when the compressor is running. I think it's causing my RPMs to drop quicker than when the AC is off. I will keep my eye on it and take it in to the stealership if anything breaks. From what I am reading online, it has happened to many. I really don't think it's normal so I'm going to bring it in and have them check it out soon.
Thanks for the input, homeys.
