That's the nice thing when you're delving into a characters with tens of thousands of issues to be able to enjoy arcs over a few books without needing to know the entire history of everything else.

SUICIDE SQUAD Trailer Overtakes BATMAN V. SUPERMAN On YouTube
What's more exciting than watching Batman and Superman square off on the big screen for the first time? Task Force X apparently! In a surprising turn of events, the Comic-Con trailer for Suicide Squad has overtaken it's Batman V. Superman: Dawn Of Justice counterpart on YouTube views - despite being released a whole two days later. Currently, the David Ayer helmed film is sitting on over 36.1 million views on the popular video sharing website, while BVS has only 34.9 million.
It's worth mentioning that these figures only take into account the videos released on WB's official YouTube channel. It's still great news for DC/WB, who may have originally had some concerns about Suicide Squad's bankability. Jared Leto's Joker was likely the big draw for general audiences, but it's possible the movie's intruiging villain-centric concept turned some heads too. Regardless of the cause, it looks likely that DC/WB now has not one, but two hits on its hands for 2016.
Unfortunately for the studio, neither trailer came close to matching the number of views reached by both the Star Wars: The Force Awakens (58.2 million) and Avengers: Age Of Ultron (50.6 million) trailers in their first week. Given that the DCEU is still a very young franchise, perhaps we'll have to wait a few years for the Justice League: Part One trailer to challenge those numbers.

Check this out, had no idea.
'Killing Joke' Announced at Comic-Con
If you're hoping that Mark Hamill will come out of his retirement as Joker to voice the character in the forthcoming, animated Batman: The Killing Joke movie, you aren't the only one. Hamill hopes so, too, although he apparently isn't sure yet that he'll be offered the gig.
You're not the only one w/ fingers crossed! @HamillHimself
Due out in 2016, the story will be an adaptation of the controversial and acclaimed original graphic novel by Alan Moore and Brian Bolland. In the comics, The Joker escapes Arkham, shoots and paralyzes Barbara Gordon in order to terrorize her father, Gotham City Police Commissioner Jim Gordon. Shortly after Hamill retired from playing The Joker, Hamill said that he would un-retire the character for an adaptation of The Killing Joke.
A few months ago, ComicBook.com heard that a Batman animated feature, which was Joker-heavy, was being cast but that sides for The Joker himself was not being distributed. Assuming it might be The Killing Joke and that Hamill was already cast, we asked around but couldn't find anything publishable at the time. Word of a Killing Joke adaptation was announced at Comic-Con, along with two other animated films in 2016: Batman: Bad Blood featuring Batwoman, and Justice League vs Titans.

Empire magazine reveals that Batman does indeed have history with The Joker and Harley Quinn, and indeed all of the criminals in Belle Reve who will ultimately make up Task Force X in Suicide Squad. Batman is responsible for putting them all in there.

I was listening to some random Kevin Smith comments on various things the other night and he said he heard in Suicide Squad we'll see a few different versions of Harley including the full animated series version. I hope that's true.

He'd definitely know better than the "sources". If she did go full Harley, why would they spoil that in the trailer 13 months before the film is even released? I'd save that type of hype for mass marketing in the months leading up to it. I still say you're going to be surprised and are most likely going to enjoy the hell out of it just like I know I will.

He'll wait for the animated adaptation.
Starting to think Marvel hasn't actually read anything other than wiki summaries....

I don't read wiki summaries, I was only considering it. Let me read The Killing Joke first and then I might get around to that one.

God damn this cast must one love each other and two love what they've done. Atleast Margot, Jai, Joel and Will inked each other with SKWAD. Looks like they're gonna be down to work together for a few more movies, assuming these are probably the Squad members who actually survive the movie. BTW, Ayer it's never a good idea to fondle your tattoo artist mid-ink, though I gotta give you props for going for it all things considered, lol.

I haven't heard about a cast inking since LOTR.
What I find highly suspect though is the complete lack of blood or any disturbance to the skin in these photos. It's possible this was staged but other photos could prove they actually did it.

Good point! Skin should be red at the very least, didn't even notice. It's possible that it's fake and they did it for laughs. Maybe it's a special pen, I forget what they're called, that can be easily wiped with alcohol.

Suicide Squad As comicbook.com reported, Robbie and Courtney of Suicide Squad paid a visit to a six-year-old’s charitable lemonade stand in Toronto after wrapping on production. Not only is there some “feel good” in the following video, but there are good behind-the-scenes shots from production as well.

Margot Robbie Talks About Losing Out On the Not So Fantastic Four and The Joker
Before Suicide Squad wrapped filming some days ago, Margot Robbie spoke with Daily News about portraying Harley Quinn opposite Jared Leto as the Joker in the highly-anticipated DC adaptation. More interestingly, the Aussie actress revealed that, before nabbing her DC supervillain role, she came to close playing Sue Storm aka the Invisible Woman in the not-so-Fantastic Four reboot.
"I didn't really resonate with the script, and I haven't seen the movie, so I don't really know how it turned out different from the page," said Margot Robbie of Fox's Marvel reboot which flopped both critically and at the box office. "But I had a great meeting with the director (Trank) and I really enjoyed that. I guess it's part of the game: sometime you win some, sometimes you lose some."
Despite losing that superheroine role to Kate Mara, Margot Robbie said she's happy to be entering the comic book movie world with Suicide Squad, and with Jared Leto. "What he's doing with the character is so cool," she said of his "pretty impressive" performance. ""At first it was kind of confronting (to be up close , but now I'm so used to it, I think if I ever saw him out of makeup now I would be really confused. Actually, I saw him out of makeup once and I was actually petrified of him. I was too scared to go up and didn't know who that person was, and when he got back into his makeup I was far more comfortable." She added, "The one common denominator is we're all bad guys, it just makes everything more fun that way. The scenes are more interesting I feel, when you just don't know how the characters are going to react, especially with Harley, who's absolutely nuts… she's either going to kill you or laugh and give you a hug."

Well it took me a lot longer cause I saw the main players up front and kept scanning like where the hell is Harley? Then I found the obvious stunt double and kept scanning the crowd, finally when I realized one of these things is not like the other I saw the gun and the smile. I guess it's been way too long since I looked for Waldo...

She's into everything, I'm not shocked by that. I just find it rather interesting that Cara who is co-starring in a Suicide Squad movie has chosen to post a picture in her private time of her kicking about in some Superman panties and to say that photo isn't suggestive would just be naive, it read like a welcome mat to Cavill, lol. She could have literally worn anything else but that is an open invitation to the Man of Steel.

First ‘Suicide Squad’ Trailer to Debut During CW Superhero Special
Well folks, we now know when we’ll see the first official trailer for Suicide Squad. While we’ve already seen footage from the DC supervillain film, Warner Bros. really only intended for that sizzle reel to be presented to Comic-Con audiences. As such, we’ve yet to see an official trailer for the movie, but that all changes in a matter of weeks.
The CW announced today that it will be airing two new superhero-centric specials on January 19th. The first is DC’s Legends of Tomorrow: Their Time Is Now airing from 9:00-9:30pm ET/PT, which will provide an in-depth look at the new Flash and Arrow spinoff series. The second focuses on DC’s big-screen offerings with a half-hour special called DC Films Presents: Dawn of the Justice League from 9:30-10:00pm ET/PT. This special, hosted by Kevin Smith, will take viewers behind-the-scenes of some of the DC Films (probably Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice most heavily) and debut the first trailer for Suicide Squad. Moreover, the special also promises a sneak peek at Wonder Woman, maybe with some behind-the-scenes footage from the Patty Jenkins-directed superhero feature?
Suicide Squad is a big movie for Warner Bros.—it’s a very different kind of superhero film and they’ve got an interesting filmmaker at the helm with David Ayer—and I’m incredibly curious to see how the first official piece of marketing material aims to introduce this movie to audiences at large. Remember, that sizzle reel was intended for fans who are already familiar with characters like Harley Quinn and Killer Croc. This debut trailer will aim to get folks interested who’ve never heard of Deadshot.
I also find it kind of funny that this DC Films special is airing on The CW, given how hard Warner Bros. has worked to delineate the small-screen superheroes from the big screen universe. They’ve made it clear that they don’t have any intention of ever blending the two, so for now they exist wholly separately—and will both be marketed on the same evening.
Check out the official descriptions of the specials below, with more info on who will be appearing from the DC Movie Universe side. And click here to read Allison’s review of DC’s Legends of Tomorrow, which debuts on January 21st.DC’S LEGENDS OF TOMORROW: THEIR TIME IS NOW is an in-depth look at the origin stories of the heroes and villains of the highly-anticipated new series, DC’S LEGENDS OF TOMORROW, premiering Thursday, January 21, 2016 (8:00-9:00pm ET/PT). Featuring show clips and interviews from LEGENDS, ARROW, and THE FLASH executive producers Greg Berlanti, Marc Guggenheim, Andrew Kreisberg, Phil Klemmer, and Wendy Mericle, THEIR TIME IS NOW introduces viewers to the immortal madman Vandal Savage, the time master Rip Hunter, and the motley band of heroes and rogues he assembles to try to save the future of humanity: Hawkman, Hawkgirl, White Canary, The Atom, Firestorm, Captain Cold, and Heat Wave.
DC FILMS PRESENTS: DAWN OF THE JUSTICE LEAGUE invites viewers behind the scenes of the exciting new movies coming out of the DC Films universe, culminating in the thrilling world premiere of the all-new trailer for “Suicide Squad,” DC’s misfit crew of antiheroes forced into saving the world this summer, with director David Ayer. Hosted by filmmaker/writer/lifelong comics fan Kevin Smith, with special guest DC Entertainment’s Geoff Johns, the special showcases the explosive landscape of DC’s greatest heroes, kicking off with “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice,” in theatres this March, and with a sneak peek from the upcoming Wonder Woman feature film.
Get a look at never-before-seen footage, and see interviews with such stars as Ben Affleck, Henry Cavill and Gal Gadot, and directors Zack Snyder and Patty Jenkins—just a few of the creative forces behind the much-anticipated film franchise that will bring together the greatest collective of Super Heroes in the upcoming Justice League feature film. And because no Super Hero could make his or her mark without a truly formidable foe, the special also provides glimpses of DC’s most famous Super Villains.
